Experimental realization of quantum cryptography communication in free space

Utilizing linear optical devices, the principle of B92.quantum key distribution (QKD) protocol is demonstrated in free space with a distance of transmission of 2.2.meters. The faint laser pulses with 650 nm wavelength are used as the single photon sources. The experimental results show that the eavesdropping behavior in the signal transmission can be detected. We also discuss the problems and solutions in using the quantum cryptography communication practically. It is pointed out that one of the approaches to increasing the distance of the quantum communication is to overcome the attenuation of the single photon in transmission. This could not be solved by the use of single photon source, and new quantum communication protocols are needed to solve these problems.

The classical Archimedean approximation of π uses the semiperimeter or area of regular polygons inscribed in or circumscribed about a unit circle in R~2.and it is well-known that by using linear combinations of these basic estimates,modern extrapolation techniques can greatly speed up the approximation ***,when n vertices are randomly selected on the circle,the semiperimeter and area of the corresponding random inscribed and circumscribing polygons are known to converge to π almost surely as n→∞,and by further applying extrapolation processes,faster convergence rates can also be achieved through similar linear combinations of the semiperimeter and area of these random *** this paper,we further develop nonlinear extrapolation methods for approximating π through certain nonlinear functions of the semiperimeter and area of such *** focus on two types of extrapolation estimates of the forms χ_n=S_n~αA_n~β and Y_n(p)=(αS_n~p+βA_n~p)~(1/p) where α+β=1,p≠0,and Sn and An respectively represents the semiperimeter and area of a random n-gon inscribed in the unit circle in R~2.and Xn may be viewed as the limit of Y_n(p) when p→*** deriving probabilistic asymptotic expansions with carefully controlled error estimates for Xn and Y_n(p),we show that the choice α=4/3.β=-1/3.minimizes the approximation error in both cases,and their distributions are also asymptotically normal.

A multiple round quantum dense coding scheme based on the quantum phase estimation algorithm is proposed and implemented in a three qubit nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) quantum computer. Using an m + 1 qubit system, Bob can transmit one of 2.+1 messages to Alice, through manipulating only one qubit and exchanging it between Alice and Bob for m rounds. The information capacity is enhanced to m + 1 bits as compared to m bits in a classical scheme. The scheme has been demonstrated in NMR system, and the experimental results show a good agreement between theory and experiment.

Compound Shenhua Tablet,a medicine comprising seven herbs,is employed in treating IgA *** study aimed to meticulously analyze its chemical *** on a list of candidate compounds,identified through extensive literature review pertinent to the tablet’s herbal components,the composition analysis entailed the systematic identification,characterization,and quantification of the *** analyte-capacity of LC/ESI-MS-based and GC/EI-MS-based assays was *** identified and characterized constituents were quantified to determine their content levels and were ranked based on the constituents’daily doses.A total of 2.3.constituents,classified into 12.distinct categories,were identified and characterized in the Compound Shenhua *** constituents exhibited content levels of 1−10982.g·g^(−1),with daily doses of 0.01−3.5μmol·d^(−1).The predominant constituents,with daily doses of≥10μmol·d^(−1),include nine organic acids(citric acid,quinic acid,chlorogenic acid,cryptochlorogenic acid,gallic acid,neochlorogenic acid,isochlorogenic acid C,isochlorogenic acid B,and linoleic acid),five iridoids(specnuezhenide,nuezhenoside G13.nuezhenidic acid,secoxyloganin,and secologanoside),two monoterpene glycosides(paeoniflorin and albiflorin),a sesquiterpenoid(curzerenone),a triterpenoid(oleanolic acid),and a phenylethanoid(salidroside).Additionally,there were 83.12.,and 55 constituents detected in the medicine with daily doses of 1–10,0.1–1,and 0.01–0.1μmol·d^(−1),*** combination of the LC/ESI-MS-based and GC/EI-MS-based assays demonstrated a complementary relationship in their analyte-capacity for detecting the constituents present in the *** comprehensive composition analysis establishes a solid foundation for further pharmacological research on Compound Shenhua Tablet and facilitates the quality evaluation of this complex herbal medicine.

Introduction:The Nugent score,limited by subjectivity and personnel requirements,lacks *** a precise and simple molecular test is therefore essential for detecting vaginal microbiota compositions and evaluating vaginal ***:We evaluated the vaginal health of Chinese women using quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR)to target Lactobacillus crispatus(***),***,Gardnerella vaginalis(***),Atopobium vaginae(***),and Megasphaera *** vaginosis(BV)-related bacteria shared a fluorescent *** 16S rDNA sequencing as a reference standard,we evaluated and validated the diagnostic accuracy of the qPCR ***:Both qPCR and 16S rDNA sequencing demonstrated 90.5%concordance in segregating vaginal community state type(CST),as visualized through heatmaps and ***’s correlation analysis revealed strong correlations between the two methods in calculating the RA of ***(CST I),***(CST III),and BV-related bacteria(CST IV),with coefficients of 0.865,0.83.,and 0.82.,*** operating characteristic analysis showed that qPCR had significant diagnostic accuracy for CST I,CST III,and CST IV(molecular BV),with area under the curve values of 0.967,0.815,and 0.950,respectively,indicating strong predictive ***:Vaginal health can be evaluated using a single qPCR amplification experiment,making the multiplex qPCR assay a highly accurate tool for this purpose.

Bietti crystalline corneoretinal dystrophy is an inherited retinal disease caused by mutations in CYP4V2.which results in blindness in the working-age population,and there is currently no available ***,we report the results of the first-in-human clinical trial(NCT0472.107)of gene therapy for Bietti crystalline corneoretinal dystrophy,including 12.participants who were followed up for 180-3.5 *** open-label,single-arm exploratory trial aimed to assess the safety and efficacy of a recombinant adeno-associated-virus-serotype-2.8 vector encoding the human CYP4V2.protein(rAAV2.8-hCYP4V2..Participants received a single unilateral subretinal injection of 7.5×10^(10)vector genomes of rAAV2.***,73.treatment-emergent adverse events were reported,with the majority(98.6%)being of mild or moderate intensity and considered to be procedure-or corticosteroid-related;no treatment-related serious adverse events or local/systemic immune toxicities were *** with that measured at baseline,77.8%of the treated eyes showed improvement in best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA)on day 180,with a mean±standard deviation increase of 9.0±10.8 letters in the 9 eyes analyzed(p=0.02.).By day 3.5,80%of the treated eyes showed an increase in BCVA,with a mean increase of 11.0±10.6 letters in the 5 eyes assessed(p=0.12.).Importantly,the patients’improvement observed using multifocal electroretinogram,microperimetry,and Visual Function Questionnaire-2. further supported the beneficial effects of the *** conclude that the favorable safety profile and visual improvements identified in this trial encourage the continued development of rAAV2.8-hCYP4V2.named ZVS101e).
