Chemical vapor deposition(CVD)-grown graphene films on Cu foils,exhibiting fine scalability and high quality,are still suffering from the adverse impact of surface contamination,i.e.,amorphous *** the recent successful preparation of superclean graphene through Cu-vapor-assisted reactions,the formation mechanism of amorphous carbon remains unclear,especially with regard to the functions of ***,we have found that the crystallographic orientations of underlying metal substrates would determine the cleanness of graphene in such a way that slower diffusion of active carbon species on asformed graphene-Cu(100)surface is the key factor that suppresses the formation of *** facile synthesis of clean graphene is achieved on the meter-sized Cu(100)that is transformed from the polycrystalline Cu ***,a clean surface of graphene on Cu(100)ensures the reduction of transfer-related polymer residues,and enhanced optical and electrical performance,which allows for versatile applications of graphene in biosensors,functioning as flexible transparent *** work would offer a promising material platform for the fundamental investigation and create new opportunities for the advanced applications of high-quality graphene films.

Objective:Epithelial cancers often originate from progenitor cells,while the origin of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is still ***,one of the deadliest cancers,is closely linked with liver injuries and chronic inflammation,which trigger massive infiltration of bone marrow-derived cells(BMDCs)during liver ***:To address the possible roles of BMDCs in HCC origination,we established a diethylnitrosamine(DEN)-induced HCC model in bone marrow transplanted *** and frozen tissue immunofluorescence were used to verify DENinduced HCC in the pathology of the *** cellular origin of DEN-induced HCC was further studied by single cell sequencing,single-cell nested PCR,and immunofluorescence-fluorescence in situ ***:Studies by using single cell sequencing and biochemical analysis revealed that HCC cells in these mice were coming from donor mice BMDCs,and not from recipient ***,the copy numbers of mouse orthologs of several HCC-related genes previously reported in human HCC were also altered in our mouse ***-induced HCCs exhibited a similar histological phenotype and genomic profile as human ***:These results suggested that BMDCs are an important origin of HCC,which provide important clues to HCC prevention,detection,and treatments.

Neutrinos from core-collapse supernovae are essential for understanding neutrino physics and stellar ***-phase xenon dark matter detectors can be used to track explosions of galactic supernovae by detecting neutrinos through coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus *** this study,a variation of progenitor masses and explosion models are assumed to predict neutrino fluxes and spectra,which result in the number of expected neutrino events ranging from 6.6 to 13.7 at a distance of 10 kpc over a 10-s duration with negligible backgrounds at *** specialized triggering alarms for monitoring supernova burst neutrinos are *** efficiency of detecting supernova explosions at various distances in the Milky Way is *** alarms will be implemented in the real-time supernova monitoring system at PandaX-4T in the near future,which will provide supernova early war{2.s for the astronomical community.

Elevated serum alpha fetoprotein levels promote pathological progression of hepatocellular carcinoma

AIM:To investigate the biological role of alpha fetoprotein (AFP) and its clinical signif icance in carcinogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).METHODS:Clinical analysis of HCC patients and im-munohistochemical examination were conducted to evaluate the relationship between serum AFP level and patient mortality. Confocal microscopy,Western blotting, dimethylthiahzolyl-2.5-diphenyl-tetrazolium bromide,Cell Counting Kit-8 assays and flow cytometry were performed to explore the possible ***: Among the 160 HCC patients enrolled in this study,130 patients survived 2.years (81.2.%),with a survival rate of 86.8% in AFP 2.0 μg/L group,88.9% in AFP 2.-2.0 μg/L group,and 69.6% in AFP > 2.0 μg/L group, demonstrating a higher mortality rate in HCC patients with higher AFP levels. Surgical treatment was benef icial only in patients with low AFP *** mortality rate of HCC patients with high AFP levels who were treated surgically was apparently higher than those treated with conservative *** results of immunohistochemistry showed that AFP and AFP receptor were merely expressed in tissues of HCC patients with positive serum ***,in vitro analysis showed that AFP and AFPS were expressed in HepG2.but not in HLE cells. AFP showed a capability to promote cell growth,and this was more apparent in HepG2.cells,in which the proliferation was increased by 3.5 folds. Cell cycle analysis showed that the percent-age of HepG2.cells in S phase after exposure to AFP was modestly ***:HCC patients with higher AFP levels show a higher mortality rate,which appears to be attributable to the growth promoting properties of AFP.

Dear Editor Proline-rich antimicrobial peptides （PrAMPs） are a class of antimicrobial peptides containing a high content of proline residues. PrAMPs selectively target Gram-negative bacteria through special transporters such as SmbA to enter cyto- plasm （Mattiuzzo et al., 2.07）. On the other hand, PrAMPs present a low toxicity to mammalian cells, because they cannot effectively penetrate the mammalian cellular mem- brane （Hansen et al., 2.12. or they are internalized through an endocytotic process to minimize interaction with cytosolic ribosomes （Tomasinsig et al., 2.06）. Therefore, PrAMPs are promising candidates to treat infections and to deliver drugs （Schmidt et al., 2.16）.

Objective：Laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma（LSCC） is a common malignant tumor in Northeast china and is frequently associated with well-established risk factors like smoking and alcohol *** papilloma virus（HPV） is an epitheliotropic oncogenic virus that has been detected in a variety of head and neck tumors including *** retrospective study was to investigate the prevalence of HPV infection in patients with ***：In situ hybridization was performed in 99 patients with LSCC to detect the expression of HPV-16 E6 ***：The positive rate of HPV16 E6 mRNA was 36.36%（36/99） in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma（LSCC）,whereas only 3 of 50（6%） specimens of the normal laryngeal mucosa as a control group showed positive results（P0.05）.Additionally,there was no corelation between HPV16 and age,gender,clinical stage,nodal status and tumor site（P0.05）.Conclusion：The results suggest that the increased prevalence of HPV infection compared to normal laryngeal mucosa and the fact that high-risk HPV types（especially type 16） were the most frequently identified do not allow the exclusion of HPV as a risk factor in laryngeal squamous cell ***,their clinical value remains to be further investigated.

Influence of rock fractures on the amplitude of dipole-source refl ected shear wave

To identify refl ector fractures near borehole by using dipole-source refl ected-shearwave logging, we need to understand the relation between the amplitude of the refl ected shear wave and the source radiation, borehole conditions, and attenuation owing to the surrounding formations. To assess the effect of these factors on the amplitude of the refl ected waves, we first studied the radiation performance and radiation direction of the dipole source in fast, medium, and slow formations by using the asymptotic solution in the far fi eld of the borehole. Then, the relation between the fracture parameters, and the refl ected-shear-wave amplitude as well as the ratio of the refl ected-shear-wave amplitude to the direct-wave amplitude (relative amplitude, RA) was evaluated by the three-dimensional fi nite-difference (3D FDTD) method. Finally, the fracture detection capability of the dipole reflected-shear-wave logging tool in different formations was analyzed by using the RA. The results suggest that the radiation amplitude of the SH-wave in the slow formation is weaker than those in the fast and medium formations, and the amplitude of the refl ected shear wave is lower. However, the RA in the slow formation is close to or even greater than in the fast and medium formations, which means that dipole-source shear-wave logging has the same or even better fracture detection capability in the slow formation as in the fast and medium formations. In addition, when RA is small, there is a good correlation between the RA and the various fracture parameters in the different types of formation, which can be used in determining the lower limit of the fracture parameters identifi ed by refl ection logging.

中子辐射俘获反应在反应堆运行、核装置设计及核天体物理研究中起重要的作用.4πBaF_(2.探测装置有着高时间分辨能力、低中子灵敏度、高探测效率等优点,适合开展中子辐射俘获反应截面数据的测量.中国原子能科学研究院核数据重点实验室建立了伽马全吸收装置(Gamma total absorption facility,GTAF),该装置用2.块六棱BaF_(2.晶体和12.五棱BaF_(2.晶体构成了外径2. cm,内径10 cm的球壳,覆盖了95.2.的立体角.利用GTAF在中国散裂中子源Back-n束线上,测量了197Au(n,γ)的反应截面数据.测量数据通过能量筛选、PSD方法、晶体多重性筛选进行了初步本底扣除,随后结合对^(nat)C及空样品的测量数据对本底进行了分析及扣除,获得了197Au俘获反应的产额,利用SAMMY程序拟合得到了^(197)Au在1—100 e V的共振能量、中子共振宽度和伽马共振宽度参数.实验测量结果与ENDF/B-VIII.0数据库符合良好,其共振参数存在一定差异,分析原因可能与GTAF能量分辨率、Back-n的中子能谱测量精度、以及实验本底扣除方法相关,这也是下一步工作的重点.
