Strain sensor on a chip for quantifying the magnitudes of tensile stress on cells

During cardiac development,mechanotransduction from the in vivo microenvironment modulates cardiomyocyte growth in terms of the number,area,and arrangement ***,the response of cells to different degrees of mechanical stimuli is ***-on-a-chip,as a platform for investigating mechanical stress stimuli in cellular mimicry of the in vivo microenvironment,is limited by the lack of ability to accurately quantify externally induced ***,previous technology lacks the integration of external stimuli and feedback sensors in microfluidic platforms to obtain and apply precise amounts of external ***,we designed a cell stretching platform with an in-situ *** in-situ liquid metal sensors can accurately measure the mechanical stimulation caused by the deformation of the vacuum cavity exerted on *** platform was applied to human cardiomyocytes(AC16)under cyclic strain(5%,10%,15%,20 and 25%),and we found that cyclic strain promoted cell growth induced the arrangement of cells on the membrane to gradually unify,and stabilized the cells at 15%amplitude,which was even more effective after 3 days of *** platform’s precise control and measurement of mechanical forces can be used to establish more accurate in vitro microenvironmental models for disease modeling and therapeutic research.

Root nodule symbiosis(RNs)between legumes and rhizobia is a major source of nitrogen in agricultural *** symbiosis requires precise regulation of plant defense *** role of the defense hormone jasmonic acid(JA)in the immune response has been extensively *** research shows that JA can play either a positive or negative regulatory role in RNS depending on its concentration,but the molecular mechanisms remain to be *** this study,we found that inoculation with the rhizobia Sm1021 induces the JA pathway in Medicago truncatula,and blocking the JA pathway significantly reduces the number of infection *** in the MtMYc2 gene,which encodes a JA signaling master transcription factor,significantly inhibited rhizobia infection,terminal differentiation,and symbiotic cell *** Rna sequencing and chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing,we discovered that MtMYc2 regulates the expression of nodule-specific MtDNF2,MtnaD1,and MtSymCRK to suppress host defense,while it activates MtDNF1 expression to regulate the maturation of MtNCRs,which in turn promotes bacteroid *** importantly,MtMYC2 participates in symbiotic signal transduction by promoting the expression of ***,the MtMYC2-MtiPD3 transcriptional regulatory module is specifically present in legumes,and the Mtmyc2 mutants are susceptible to the infection by the pathogen Rhizoctonia ***,these findings reveal the molecular mechanisms of how the JA pathway regulates RNS,broadening our understanding of the roles of JA in plant-microbe interactions.

High-entropy diboride has been arousing considerable interest in recent ***,the low toughness and damage tolerance limit its applications as ultra-high-temperature structural *** we report that a unique SiB_(6) additive has been first incorporated as boron and silicon sources to fabricate a high-entropy boride(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))B_(2)–SiC composite though one-step boro/carbothermal reduction reactive sintering.A synergetic effect of high-entropy sluggish diffusion and SiC secondary phase retarded the grain growth of the(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))B_(2)–51SiC *** small grain size was beneficial to shorten the diffusion path for mass transport,thereby enhancing the relative density to~99.3%.These results in an increase of fracture toughness from~5.2 in HEBS-1900 to~7.7 MPa·m^(1/2) in HEBS-2000,which corresponded to a large improvement of 48%.The improvement was attributed to a mixed mode of intergranular and transgranular cracking for offering effective pinning in crack propagation,resulting from balanced grain boundary strength collectively affected by improved densification,solid solution strengthening,and incorporation of SiC secondary phase.

Ki-67 Change in Anthracyline-containing Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy Response in Breast Cancer

Objective Anthracycline-containing regimens are irreplaceable in neoadjuvant chemotherapy(naC)for breast cancer(BC)at ***,30% of early breast cancer(EBC)patients are resistant to anthracycline-containing chemotherapy,leading to poor prognosis and higher ***-67 is associated with the prognosis and response to therapy,and it changes after *** A total of 105 BC patients who received anthracycline-containing naC were ***,the optimal model of Ki-67 was selected,and its predictive efficacy was ***(IHC)was used to determine the estrogen receptor(ER),progesterone receptor(PR),and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER-2)status and Ki-67 *** in situ hybridization(FISH)was used to verify the HER-2 when the IHC score was 2+.Results The post-naC Ki67 level after treatment with anthracycline drugs was lower than pre-naC Ki-67(19.6%±23.3%vs.45.6%±23.1%,Pline higher pathological complete response(pCR)rate(17.2%vs.0.0%,P=0.068),and a higher overall response rate(ORR)(73.6%vs.27.8%,P<0.001),when compared to patients without the Ki-67 *** ΔKi-67 and ΔKi-67%were valuable markers for the prediction of both the pCR rate and *** area under the curve(AUC)for ΔKi-67 on pCR and ORR was 0.809(0.698-0.921)and 0.755(0.655-0.855),respectively,while the AUC for ΔKi-67% on pCR and ORR was 0.857(0.742-0.972)and 0.720(0.618-0.822),*** logistic regression model 1 revealed thatΔKi-67 was an independent predictor for both pCR[odds ratio(OR)=61.030,95% confidence interval(CI)=4.709-790.965;P=0.002]and ORR(OR=10.001,95%CI:3.044-32.858;P<0.001).Multivariate logistic regression model 2 revealed thatΔKi-67%was also an independent predictor for both pCR(OR=408.922,95%CI=8.908-18771.224;P=0.002)and ORR(OR=5.419,95%CI=1.842-15.943;P=0.002).Conclusions The present study results suggest thatΔKi67 andΔKi67%are candidate predictor

The suppression of low-frequency vibration and noise has always been an important issue in a wide range of engineering *** address this concern,a novel square hierarchical honeycomb metamaterial capable of reducing low-frequency noise has been *** combining Bloch’s theorem with the finite element method,the band structure is *** results indicate that this metamaterial can produce multiple low-frequency bandgaps within 500 Hz,with a bandgap ratio exceeding 50%.The first bandgap spans from 169.57 Hz to 216.42 *** reveal the formation mechanism of the bandgap,a vibrational mode analysis is *** analysis demonstrates that the bandgap is attributed to the suppression of elastic wave propagation by the vibrations of the structure’s two protruding corners and overall expansion ***,detailed parametric analyses are conducted to investigate the effect ofθ,i.e.,the angle between the protruding corner of the structure and the horizontal direction,on the band structures and the total effective bandgap *** is found that reducingθis conducive to obtaining lower frequency *** propagation characteristics of elastic waves in the structure are explored by the group velocity,phase velocity,and wave propagation ***,the transmission characteristics of a finite periodic structure are investigated *** results indicate significant acceleration amplitude attenuation within the bandgap range,confirming the structure’s excellent low-frequency vibration suppression capability.

Multiscale Characteristics and Connection Mechanisms of Attraction Networks:A Trajectory Data Mining Approach Leveraging Geotagged Data

Urban tourism is considered a complex system,and multiscale exploration of the organizational patterns of attraction networks has become a topical issue in urban tourism,so exploring the multiscale characteristics and connection mechanisms of attraction networks is important for understanding the linkages between attractions and even the future destination *** paper uses geotagging data to compare the links between attractions in Beijing,China during four different periods:the pre-Olympic period(2004–2007),the Olympic Games and subsequent‘heat period’(2008–2013),the post-Olympic period(2014–2019),and the COVID-19(Corona Virus Disease 2019)pandemic period(2020–2021).The aim is to better understand the evolution and patterns of attraction networks at different scales in Beijing and to provide insights for tourism planning in the *** results show that the macro,meso-,and microscales network characteristics of attraction networks have inherent logical relationships that can explain the commonalities and differences in the development process of tourism *** macroscale attraction network degree Matthew effect is significant in the four different periods and exhibits a morphological monocentric structure,suggesting that new entrants are more likely to be associated with attractions that already have high *** mesoscale links attractions according to the common purpose of tourists,and the results of the community segmentation of the attraction networks in the four different periods suggest that the functional polycentric structure describes their clustering effect,and the weak links between clusters result from attractions bound by incomplete information and distance,and the functional polycentric structure with a generally more efficient network of *** pattern structure at the microscale reveals the topological transformation relationship of the regional collaboration pattern,and the attraction network structure in the four diff

Geochemical characteristics,generation,and evolution mechanism of coalbed methane in the south-western Ordos Basin,China

The south-western Ordos Basin is rich in low-middle rank coalbed methane(CBM)resources;while the geochemical characteristics and genetic mechanism of CBM are not ***,according to geological and geochemical test data from gas and coal seam water from CBM wells in Bingchang,Jiaoxun,Huangling,Yonglong,and Longdong minging areas,we systematically studied the geochemical characteristics,generation,and evolution mechanism of CBM in Jurassic Yan’an Formation in the south-western Ordos *** results show that the CH4 content of whole gas is in the range of 42.01%-94.72%.The distribution ranges of theδ^(13)C-CH_(4)value is−87.2‰to−32.5‰,indicating diverse sources of thermogenic gas and biogenic *** microbial methane is mainly generated by a CO_(2)reduction pathway,with certain methyl-type fermentation ***δ^(13)C-CH_(4)has a positive correlation with burial depth,indicating the obvious fractionation of *** relationship between the genetic types and burial depth of the CBM reservoir indicates that the favorable depth of secondary biogenic gas is less than 660 *** Late Cretaceous Yanshanian Movement led to the uplift of the Ordos Basin,and a large amount of thermogenic gas escaped from the edge of the *** the Paleogene Period,the coal reservoir in the basin margin has received recharge from atmospheric precipitation,which is favorable for the formation of secondary biogenic *** deep area,generally under 1000 m,mainly contains residual thermogenic *** intermediate transition zone is mixed *** by the tectonic background,the genetic types of CBM in different mining areas are controlled by the coupling of burial depth,coal rank,and hydrogeological *** Binchang mining area contains biogenic gas,and the development of CBM has achieved initial success,indicating that similar blocks with biogenic gas formation conditions is key to the efficient development of *** research results provide a scientific basis for

Correlation between TGFβ1 Gene Polymorphism and Asthma in Baise, Guangxi Children

Objective: This research was to study the correlation between the rs1800469, rs1800470, rs2241712, rs224171 and rs4803455 of TGFβ1 gene and asthma in Baise, Guangxi children. This research also studied the relationship between serum concentration of TGFβ1 and childhood asthma. Method: From June 2022 to December 2023, 121 children had physical examination in affiliated Hospital of Youjiang Medical University for nationalities were selected as control group and 118 children suffered from asthma in affiliated Hospital of Youjiang Medical University for nationalities during the same period were selected as asthma group. Result: There was no correlation between rs1800469, rs1800470, rs2241712, rs2241715, rs4803455 and asthma in Baise, Guangxi children. linkage disequilibrium analysis showed that there were strong linkage disequilibrium among rs1800469, rs1800470, rs2241712, rs2241715 and rs4803455. Their haplotypes had no significant correlation with childhood asthma. The serum concentration of TGFβ1 in asthma group was lower than that in control group (p β1 had no significant relationship with the genotypes of rs1800469, rs1800470, rs2241712, rs2241715 and rs4803455.

Ultrasonic scalpel based on fusiform phononic crystal structure

In response to the ultrasonic scalpels with the vibrational modal coupling which leads to a decrease in efficiency,an ultrasonic scalpel based on fusiform phononic crystals(PnCs)is *** accurate theoretical model is constructed,which is mainly composed of electromechanical equivalent circuit models to analyze the frequency response function and the frequency response curves of the *** band gaps exist in the fusiform PnCs owing to the periodic constraint,which can suppress the corresponding vibrational *** vibration characteristics(vibration mode,frequency,and displacement distribution)of the ultrasonic scalpel are analyzed,and the validity of the electromechanical equivalent circuit method is *** results indicate that other vibration modes near the working frequency can be *** addition,blades based on fusiform PnCs have a function akin to that of the horn,which enables displacement amplification.

A ratiometric fluorescent probe for hypoxanthine detection in aquatic products based on the enzyme mimics and fluorescence of cobalt-doped carbon nitride

A ratiometric fluorescent probe for hypoxanthine(Hx)detection was established based on the mimic enzyme and fluorescence characteristics of cobalt-doped graphite-phase carbon nitride(Co doped g-C_(3)N_(4)).In addition to emitting strong fluorescence,the peroxidase activity of Co doped g-C_(3)N_(4)can catalyze the reaction of O-phenylenediamine and H_(2)O_(2)to produce diallyl phthalate which can emit yellow fluorescence at 570 *** the decomposition of Hx by xanthine oxidase,Hx can be indirectly detected by the generating hydrogen peroxide based on the measurement of fluorescent ratio I(F_(570)/F_(370)).The linear range was 1.7-272.2 mg/kg(R^(2)=0.997),and the detection limit was 1.52 mg/kg(3σ/K,n=9).The established method was applied to Hx detection in bass,grass carp,and shrimp,and the data were verified by *** result shows that the established probe is sensitive,accurate,and reliable,and can be used for Hx detection in aquatic products.
