Superhydrophilic nickel hydroxide ultrathin nanosheets enable high-performance asymmetric supercapacitors

Superhydrophilic surfaces have been applied for supercapacitor;however,during energy storage reaction,how the wettability affects the process of electrochemical reaction specifically is still ***,we demonstrate superhydrophilic surface for promotion of electrochemical reactions by liquid affinity and further explain the mechanism,where the transition of the wettability state caused by the change in surface free energy is the main reason for the obvious increase in specific *** citric acid assistance strategy,an intrinsically hydrophobic Ni(OH)_(2)thick nanosheets(HNHTNs,16 nm)can be transitioned into superhydrophilic Ni(OH)_(2)ultrathin nanosheets(SNHUNs,6.8 nm),where the water contact angle was 0°and the surface free energy increased from 8.6to 65.8 mN·m^(-1),implying *** with HNHTNs,the specific capacitance of SNHUNs is doubled:from 1230 F·g^(-1)(HNHTNs)to 2350 F·g^(-1)(2A·g^(-1))and,even at 20 A·g^(-1),from 833 F·g^(-1)(HNHTNs)to 1670 F·g^(-1).The asymmetric capacitors assembled by SNHUNs and activated carbon show 52.44 Wh·kg^(-1)at 160W·kg^(-1)and excellent stability with~90%retention after5000 cycles(~80%retention after 9500 cycles).The promotion of electrochemical performances is ascribed to the change of surface wettability caused by surface free energy,which greatly increase affinity of electrode to the surrounding liquid environment to reduce the interface resistance and optimize the electron transport path.

Investigations of the mechanical response of dummy HTPB propellant grain under ultrahigh acceleration overload conditions using onboard flight-test measurements

In this paper,to study the mechanical responses of a solid propellant subjected to ultrahigh acceleration overload during the gun-launch process,specifically designed projectile flight tests with an onboard measurement system were *** projectiles containing dummy HTPB propellant grains were successfully recovered after the flight tests with an ultrahigh acceleration overload value of 8100 *** onboard-measured time-resolved axial displacement,contact stress and overload values were successfully obtained and *** compression tests of the dummy HTPB propellant used in the gunlaunched tests were carried out at low and intermediate strain rates to characterize the propellant's dynamic properties.A linear viscoelastic constitutive model was employed and applied in finite-element simulations of the projectile-launching *** the launch process,the dummy propellant grain exhibited large deformation due to the high acceleration overload,possibly leading to friction between the motor case and propellant *** calculated contact stress showed good agreement with the experimental results,though discrepancies in the overall displacement of the dummy propellant grain were *** dynamic mechanical response process of the dummy propellant grain was analysed in *** results can be used to estimate the structural integrity of the analysed dummy propellant grain during the gun-launch process.

Behaviors analysis of on-coming cluster based on knowledge under cluster security requirements

Analysis of cluster behaviors of the on-coming cluster is an essential measure for high value locations on the battlefield. Unlike target tracking and clustering analysis, cluster behaviors analysis under cluster security requirements remains an open issue, which is a joint analysis of clustering, intent reasoning and activity regions. To address this issue, a framework for cluster behaviors analysis is proposed by incorporating expert knowledge and domain knowledge, and a knowledge-assisted score function with is designed to improve the accuracy of intent reasoning network, overcoming the effects of possible knowledge errors. The framework consists of three modules for cluster analysis, intent reasoning and activity region analysis for typical tasks, in which an intent reasoning network is constructed to obtain cluster intents by using a hybrid knowledge and data driven approach. Furthermore, considering the complexity of the battlefield environment, different tasks and corresponding activity region optimization functions are designed for cluster activity region analysis, which are vital elements of cluster behaviors analysis. Simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed cluster behaviors analysis framework. Cytoplasmic FKBPs are involved in molting and metamorphosis through regulating the nuclear localization of EcR

Molting and metamorphosis are important physiological processes in insects that are tightly controlled by ecdysone receptor(EcR)through the 20-hydroxyecdysone(20E)signaling *** is a steroid nuclear receptor(SR).Several FK506-binding proteins(FKBPs)have been identified from the mammal SR complex,and are thought to be involved in the subcellular trafficking of ***,their roles in insects are poorly *** explore whether FKBPs are involved in insect molting or metamorphosis,we injected an FKBP inhibitor(FK506)into a lepidopteran insect,Spodoptera litura,and found that molting was inhibited in 61.11%of the larvae,and that the time for larvae to pupate was significantly extended.A total of 10 FKBP genes were identified from the genome of *** and were clustered into 2 distinct groups,according to their subcellular localization,with FKBP13 and FKBP14 belonging to the endoplasmic reticulum(ER)group and with the other members belonging to the cytoplasmic(Cy)*** the CyFKBPs were significantly upregulated in the prepupal or pupal stages,with the opposite being observed for the ER group ***506 completely blocked the transfer of EcR to the nucleus under 20E induction,and significantly downregulated the transcriptional expression of many 20E signaling genes.A similar phenomenon was observed after RNA interference of2 CyFKBPs(FKBP45 and FKBP12b),but not for *** together,our data indicate that the cytoplasmic FKBPs,especially FKBP45 and FKBP12b,mediate the nuclear localization of EcR,thereby regulating the 20E signaling and ultimately affecting molting and metamorphosis in insects.

Microscopic Analysis of Cementitious Sand and Gravel Damming Materia

The mechanical properties of cementitious sand and gravel damming material have been experimentally determined by means of microscopic SEM(Scanning Electron Microscopy)image *** results show that the combination of fly ash and water can fill the voids in cemented sand and gravel test blocks because of the presence of hydrated calcium silicate and other substances;thereby,the compactness and mechanical properties of these materials can be greatly *** every 10 kg/m^(3) increase in the amount of cementitious material,the density increases by about 2%,and the water content decreases by 0.2%.The amount of cementitious material used in the sand and gravel in these tests was 80-110 kg/m^(3),the water-binder ratio was ***,the splitting tensile strength was 1/10 of the compressive strength,and the maximum strength was 7.42 MPa at 90 *** optimal mix ratio has been found to be 50 kg of cement,60 kg of fly ash and 120 kg of water(C50F60W120).The related dry density was 2.6 g/cm^(3),the water content was 6%,and the water-binder ratio was 1.09.

Effect of TiO_(2) addition on microstructures and properties of Mgo-Cao refractory aggregates

Cutting performance of saw blades with microtextured rougher and finisher sawteeth

The problems of severe sawtooth wear,harsh sawing noise,and low surface quality during the processing of circular saw blades need to be *** improve the cutting performance of TiC-based cermet saw blades,microtextures parallel to the cutting edge were fabricated on rough and fine sawteeth by laser *** cutting tests were performed on a sawing platform under lubricated *** of the sawing arc length and working sawtooth cutting force variations were developed for sawing steel pipes,and the accuracy of the sawing force model was verified *** results indicate that the variations in the sawing force are proportional to the sawing arc *** circular saw blades with microtextures that did not penetrate the sawtooth rake face exhibited the lowest cutting force,sawing noise,and highest machined surface ***,the worn-out distance of the rougher and finisher sawteeth was reduced by approximately 7.4%and 44.1%,respectively,compared with conventional circular saw *** main failure modes of sawteeth were tip wear,rake face adhesion,and oxidative *** addition,the mechanism by which the textures improve the cutting and wear properties of TiC-based circular saw blades was *** study provided a significant concept for enhancing the cutting performance of circular saw blades and improving the machined surface quality.

Unlocking the power of ions toward enhanced electrocatalysis

Electrocatalysis plays a vital role in advancing energy conversion and storage *** addition to the prominent strategies of advanced electrocatalysts,the exploration of the ion effects on electrocatalytic processes constitutes an emerging *** significant progress,challenges persist in understanding the controversial mechanisms and addressing the universality of these ion *** this feature article,we summarize our recent advances in exploring the ion effects on electrocatalytic oxidation reactions,mainly involving three systems:(1) hierarchical borate and fluoride anions synergize neutral water oxidation;(2) cation-intermediate interactions steer the glycerol oxidation selectivity;(3) cation coordination delays catechol polymerization and promotes selective ring C–C *** findings not only enrich our understanding of the ion effects through specific non-covalent interactions but also shed light on the potential of finely-tuned electrode–electrolyte interfaces toward the improved electrocatalytic performance for various electrocatalytic *** the summary,we outline the current challenges and opportunities within the ionic effect studies and offer insights into prospective research directions.

Isoindigo nanoparticles for photoacoustic imaging-guided tumor photothermal therapy

The key factor in photothermal therapy lies in the selection of photothermal *** photothermal agents generally have problems such as poor photothermal stability and low photothermal conversion ***,we have designed and synthesized an isoindigo(IID)*** used isoindigo as the molecular center and introduced common triphenylamine and methoxy groups as *** order to improve the photothermal stability and tumor targeting ability,we encapsulated IID into *** a result,the nanoparticles exhibited high photothermal stability and photothermal conversion efficiency(67%)upon 635 nm laser ***,the nanoparticles demonstrated a significant inhibitory effect on live tumors in photothermal therapy guided by photoacoustic imaging and provided a viable strategy to overcome the treatment challenges.
