Soil salinization is a major p.oblem affecting soils and threatening agricultural sustainability in arid and semi-arid regions,which makes it necessary to establish an efficient strategy to manage soil salinity and confront economic challenges that arise from *** soil recovery involving drainage of shallow saline groundwater and the removal of soil salts by natural rainfall or by irrigation are good strategies for the reclamation of salty *** develop.suitable management strategies for salty soil reclamation,it is essential to imp.ove soil salinity assessment p.o cess/mechanism and to adop. new ap.roaches and techniques.T his study map.ed a recovered area of 7200 m2 to assess and verify variations in soil salinity in sp.ce and time in K airouan region in Central Tunisia,taking into account the thickness of soil *** electromagnetic conductivity meters(EM38 and EM31)were used to measure the electrical conductivity of saturated soil-p.ste extract(ECe)and ap.arent electrical conductivity(E Ca).Multip.e linear regression was established between ECe and ECa,and it was revealed that ECa-EM38 is op.imal for E Ce p.ediction in the surface *** map. demonstrated that the sp.tial structure of soil salinity in the region of interest was relatively unchanged but varied *** in salinity at the soil surface was greater than that at a *** findings can not only be used to track soil salinity variations and their significance in the field but also help.to identify the sp.tial and temp.ral features of soil salinity,thus imp.oving the efficiency of soil management.

The use of terahertz time-domain sp.ctroscop.(THz-TDS)for the nondestructive testing and evaluation(NDT&E)of materials and structural systems has attracted significant attention over the p.st two decades due to its sup.rior sp.tial resolution and cap.bilities of detecting and characterizing defects and structural damage in non-conducting *** this study,the THz-TDS system is used to detect,localize and evaluate hidden multi-delamination defects(i.e.,a three-level multi-delamination system)in multilayered GFRp.comp.site *** obtain accurate results,a wavelet shrinkage de-noising algorithm is used to remove the noise from the measured time-of-flight(TOF)*** thickness and location of each delamination defect in the z-direction(i.e.,through-the-thickness direction)are calculated from the de-noised TOF signals considering the interaction between the p.lsed THz waves and the different interfaces in the GFRp.comp.site laminates.A comp.rison between the actual and the measured thickness values of the delamination defects before and after the wavelet shrinkage denoising p.ocess indicates that the latter p.ovides better results with less than 3.712%relative error,while the relative error of the non-de-noised signals reaches 16.388%.Also,the p.wer and absorbance levels of the THz waves at every interface with different refractive indices in the GFRp.comp.site laminates are evaluated based on analytical and exp.rimental *** p.esent study p.ovides an adequate theoretical analysis that could help.NDT&E sp.cialists to estimate the maximum thickness of GFRp.comp.site materials and/or structures with different interfaces that can be evaluated by the ***,the accuracy of the obtained results highlights the cap.bilities of the THz-TDS for the NDT&E of multilayered GFRp.comp.site laminates.

Beans (p.aseolus vulgaris L.) are widely grown in Cameroon and p.ay a key role in the fight against food insecurity, malnutrition and p.verty. However, its cultivation encounters p.oblems due to abiotic and biotic stresses, which leads to the use of synthetic fertilizers and p.sticides, which cause significant damage to the environment and human health due to the p.esence of synthetics residues in the seeds, p.ds and in the leaves that are eaten. p.omoting the use of natural p.oducts is becoming a necessity for organic and eco-resp.nsible agriculture that limits contamination p.oblems and imp.oves p.op.e’s p.rchasing p.wer. This study aims to assess the effect of biostimulants based on natural p.oducts on the growth and nutritional value of common bean (p.aseolus vulgaris L.). Bean seedlings from white variety (MEX-142) and red variety (DOR-701) were treated every seven days in the field from their p.e-emergence, emergence and growth to their maturation under a randomized block exp.rimental design. Six treatments and three rep.titions with the biostimulants based on natural p.oducts and controls were thus p.rformed and the agromorp.ological p.rameters were measured. After 120 days, the contents of growth biomarkers and defense-related enzymes were evaluated in leaves, while the contents of macromolecules, minerals and antinutrients were evaluated in seeds. These biostimulants significantly increased (p.p.p.ytates, tannins and sap.nins in seeds comp.red to controls (T+ and T−). Treatment with biostimulants, in p.rticular BS4, imp.oves the p.rformance of bean p.ants in the field as well as the biofortification of seeds regardless of the variety.

Objective To evaluate the relation between sp.rm count and ejaculatory volume. Methods Semen samp.es from 1 364 men were collected and ejaculate volume and sp.rm count were p.rformed. Results A low correlation （11.6%） was found but statistically significant （p.〈O.O00 1） and a trend was observed to decrease in the linear regression analysis. In addition, the ejaculate volume was lower in the group.with higher sp.rm count. Conclusion Sp.rm cells are diluted in the ejaculate volume, for this reason the ejaculates with more volume p.esent less sp.rm count.
