Dear Editor,Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is a global-spread infectious disease caused by a novel coronavirus,SARS-CoV-2.1 COVID-19 causes heterogeneous disease phenotype,of which most patients exhibit mild to moderate symptoms,and~15%progress to severe pneumonia,5%of whom were eventually admitted to the intensive care unit(ICU)due to acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS),septic shock and/or multiple organ failure,and exhibit a high mortality *** major obstacles to the improvement of the clinical outcomes in these patients are inadequate identification of the determinant cytokines correlated with fatal outcomes,and an inability to determine whether an individual patient has high risks of ICU admission and fatality.

The exploration of low bandgap perovskite material to approach Shockley-Queisser limit of photovoltaic device is of great significance,but it is still *** the past few years,tin–lead(Sn-Pb)mixed perovskites with low bandgaps have been rapidly developed,and their single junction solar cells have reached power conversion efficiency(PCE)over 21%,which also makes them ideal candidate as low bandgap sub-cell for tandem ***,due to the incorporation of unstable Sn^(2+),the stability issue becomes the vital problem for the further development of Sn-Pb mixed perovskite solar cells(PSCs).In this review,we are dedicated to give a full view in current understanding on the stability issue of SnPb mixed perovskites and their *** begin with the demonstration on the origin of instability of Sn-Pb mixed perovskites,including oxidation of Sn^(2+),defects,and interfacial layer induced ***,the up-to-date developments on the stability improvement of Sn-Pb mixed perovskites and their PSCs is systematically reviewed,including composition engineering,additive engineering,and interfacial *** last,the current challenges and future perspectives on the stability study of Sn-Pb mixed PSCs are discussed,which we hope could promote the further application of Sn-Pb mixed perovskites towards commercialization.

Ulcerative colitis(UC)is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease characterized by persistent inflammation of the colon and disrupted intestinal *** mori(Sangzhi)alkaloids(Sz-A),derived from twigs of mulberry,were approved by the National Medical Products Administration in 2020 for treating type 2 diabetes *** evidence has confirmed that Sz-A also alleviates non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and ameliorates inflammation,indicating its potential to address inflammation in ***,the treatment of UC faces challenges due to low drug delivery efficiency and short retention *** overcome these challenges,an injectable and adherent in-situ thermo-sensitive hydrogel containing Sz-A was developed for rectal drug delivery,utilizing the thermo-sensitive polymers Poloxamer 407and *** thermo-sensitive hydrogel system was designed with a moderate gelation temperature of 32±0.5℃,a short gelation time of 64 s,a p H range of 7-10,high moisturizing capability exceeding 90%,and moderate mechanical strength of 4-5 *** a rat model with UC,the in situ thermo-sensitive hydrogel significantly extended the retention time at the colonic site and enabled sustained release after rectal *** of UC were markedly reduced following rectal administration of Sz-A thermosensitive ***,the release of inflammatory factors,such as interleukin-1β(IL-1β),IL-6,IL-18,tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),and transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1),significantly decreased in the Sz-A thermo-sensitive hydrogel *** integrity of the colonic mucosal barrier was significantly enhanced following the application of Sz-A thermo-sensitive *** conclusion,rectal administration of Sz-A in situ thermo-sensitive hydrogel effectively alleviated UC symptoms,inhibited the secretion of inflammatory factors,and promoted the repair of the colonic mucosal *** approach holds promise as a potential treatment for UC.

The Lhasa River Basin forms an essential human settlement area in the southern part of the Qinghai-Tibet *** study employed ecosystem service value(ESV)evaluation model,terrain gradient grading,and Geodetector to analyze land use and ESV in the Lhasa River Basin from 1985 to *** findings reveal that:(1)From 1985 to 2020,grassland was the dominant land *** was a trend of grassland reduction and the expansion of other land types.(2)ESV has increased over the research period(with a total increase of 0.84%),with higher values in the southeast and lower values in the *** contributed the most to ESV,and climate regulation and hydrological regulation were the ecosystem services that contribute the most to ESV.(3)Natural factors like NDVI and altitude,as well as economic factors like population density and distance from roads,influenced the spatial differentiation of ESV,the explanatory power of NDVI reached up to *** interaction between factors had a greater impact than individual *** research results can provide theoretical support for national spatial planning and ecological environment protection in the Lhasa River Basin and other similar areas.

Sulfur doped carbonaceous materials are promising anodes for potassium-ion batteries because of their ability to bridge active sites and induce C/S electron coupling,resulting in increased ion storage capacitance However,the large potassium ions could cause significant volume expansion and structure collapse during operation in sulfur doped carbonaceous anodes,which lead to rapidly capacity sacrifice during long-term *** design for anchoring sulfur atom in carbon skeleton is a novel way to alleviate the structure collapse and maintain the cycling ***,this study developed a controlled nanopore and sulfur doped carbon sphere structure(S-NPHCSs).In potassium-ion batteries S-NPHCSs anode demonstrated exceptional performance with a high reversible capacity of 247 mAh·g^(–1)after 50 cycles at 0.2 A·g^(–1)and delivered a long cycle stability of 600 cycles at a high current density of 1.0 A·g^(–1).Interconnected nanopores and doped sulfur structure not only expand the accumulation space and offer ample active sites for diffusion and adsorption of potassium ions,but also build stable channels through nanopore structure to ensure the cyclic *** finding provides a fundamental theory for designing nanopore structures and introducing sulfur doped carbonaceous materials to enhance capacitive potassium storage and long cycle stability.

CaKFe_(4)As_(4) is a new-type superconductor with a relatively high transition temperature of 35 K among stoichiometric iron-based superconductors. Based on scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy, the surface morphology and electronic structure of CaKFe_(4)As_(4) single crystal were systematically investigated. The cleaved CaKFe_(4)As_(4) showed various morphologies, such as atomically resolved 1×1, 1×2, and √2×√2 lattices. By analyzing the geometrical correlations of these morphologies, the 1×1 and 1×2 lattices were identified as the original and reconstructed As layers, respectively, whereas the √2×√2 lattice was distinguished as the reconstructed alkaline-earth-metal or alkali-metal layer. The superconducting energy gap of 7.3 me V and bosonic mode of 12.7 me V were resolved in the scanning tunneling spectra. In addition, the superconducting energy gaps measured on different terminations were identical and consistent with the values obtained by bulk-sensitive techniques, indicating that the electronic structures of CaKFe_(4)As_(4) were insensitive to the surface reconstructions. Our study clarifies the relationships between complex surface reconstructions and surface terminations and preliminarily presents that there is no obvious effect of surface reconstructions on electronic states.

Background:The purpose of our study is to examine the long(5-year)efficacy of the all surface laser ablation(ASLA)combined with accelerated cross-linking(CXL)for the treatment of myopia without the use of mitomycin-C(MMC).Methods:This retrospective study consisted of 202 eyes of 118 myopic(SD:2.41,range:−1.50 to−12.75 D)patients(44 males,74 females).Mean age was 28.50 years(SD:6.45,range:18 to 51 years)that underwent ASLA with accelerated CXL for the treatment of their ***:The patients underwent routine postoperative assessment on the 1st,3rd,7th day and in the 1st,3rd,6th and 12th month,30th month(±6 months),4th and 5th *** mean spherical equivalent(SEq)refractive error changed from−6.41±2.41 D preoperatively to−0.02±0.53 D at 5 years *** haze score was 0.18,0.25 and 0.28 at 1,3 and 6 months *** 12 months after the treatment,no eyes had significant corneal haze and in all the following postoperative time intervals the haze traces were ***:ASLA combined with accelerated CXL(ASLA-XTRA)appears to be safe,efficacious and offering very good refractive *** potential additional benefits of this modality are the stabilizing effect of the refraction and its sterilization effect on the treated cornea without the potential side effects of MMC.
