Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Mn(II) complexes synthesized by reflux of 6-bromo-3-(3-(4-chlorophenyl)acryloyl)-2H- chromen-2-one, Ciprofloxacin and various transition metal. 1H, 13C, IR and ESI Mass confirm the formation of ligand. The metal complexes were characterized on the basis of various spectroscopic techniques lik. IR studies and elemental analysis while the geometry of complexes was octahedral which is confirmed by electronic spectra and thermogravimetric analysis. The compounds were subjected to antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-tubercular activity screening using serial broth dilution method and Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) is determined. Mn(II) complex has shown significant antifungal activity with an MIC of 6.25 μg/ml while Cu(II) complex is noticeable for antibacterial activity at the same concentration. Anti-TB activity of the ligand has enhanced on complexation with Ni(II) and Co(II) ions. While Ni(II) complex shows superior antioxidant activity than other complexes.

BACk.ROUND The gastrointestinal symptom rating scale(GSRS)is a questionnaire in English language which is designed to assess the clinical symptoms in patients with irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)and peptic ulcer *** validated scale has questions on around 15 items and has been validated in patients with dyspepsia and *** To translate and validate the English version of the GSRS questionnaire to the Hindi *** The purpose of the present work.was to create a Hindi version of this questionnaire for use in the Indian *** process involved various steps as per the World Health Organization methodology including initial forward translation,back.ard translation,and assessment by an expert *** pilot testing was followed by testing in healthy and diseased *** The Hindi translation was pilot tested in 20 individuals and further validated in healthy controls(n=30,15 females)and diseased individuals(n=72,27 females).The diseased group included patients with functional dyspepsia and ***'s alpha for internal consistency on the final translated GSRS questionnaire was 0.715 which is considered *** questions significantly differentiated the diseased population from the healthy population(P valuek.ng populations.

Vidangadi churna is a popular Ayurvedic formulation described in the chapter k.imicik.tsa of the Ayurvedic literature Cak.adatta for the treatment of k.imiroga. The preparation is a composite mixture of the fine powder of fruits of Vidang （Embelia ribs）, glandular trichomes of the fruits of k.mala （Mallotus philippensis）, mature fruits of Harde （Terminalia chehula）, Saindhava and Yavak.hara. The use of reversed phase C18 column eluted with gradient mobile phase of acetonitrile and water enabled the efficient separation of the chemical mark.rs in 22 rain. Validation of the method was performed in order to demonstrate its selectivity, accuracy, precision, repeatability and recovery. All calibration curves showed good linear correlation coefficients （r2〉0.995） within the tested ranges. Three mark.rs in Vidangadi churna were quantitied with respect to Embelin （0.647%, w/w）, Rottlerin （4.419%, w/w）, and Ellagic acid （0.459%, w/w）. lntraand inter-day RSDs of retention times and peak.areas were less than 3.12%. The recoveries were between 99.66% and 102.33%. In conclusion, a method has been developed for the simultaneous quantification of three mark.rs in Vidangadi churna. The RP-HPLC method was simple, precise and accurate and can be used for the quality control of the raw materials as well as formulations.

AIM To investigate the role of glucagon-lik. peptide-1(GLP-1)/glucagon receptors coagonist on renal dysfunction associated with diabetes and obesity. METHODS Chronic high-fat diet fed C57 BL/6 J mice, streptozotocintreated high-fat diet fed C57 BL/6 J mice and diabeticC57 BLk./J db/db mice were used as models of diabetes-induced renal dysfunction. The streptozotocintreated high-fat diet fed mice and db/db mice were treated with the GLP-1 and glucagon receptors coagonist(Aib2 C24 Chimera2, 150 μg/k., sc) for twelve week., while in chronic high-fat diet fed mice, coagonist(Aib2 C24 Chimera2, 150 μg/k., sc) treatment was continued for forty week.. k.dney function, histology, fibrosis, inflammation, and plasma biochemistry were assessed at the end of the treatment. RESULTS Coagonist treatment decreased body weight, plasma lipids, insulin resistance, creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, urinary albumin excretion rate and renal lipids. In k.dney, expression of lipogenic genes(SREBP-1 C, FAS, and SCD-1) was decreased, and expression of genes involved in β-oxidation(CPT-1 and PPAR-α) was increased due to coagonist treatment. In plasma, coagonist treatment increased adiponectin and FGF21 and decreased IL-6 and TNF-?. Coagonist treatment reduced expression of inflammatory(TNF-α, MCP-1, and MMP-9) and pro-fibrotic(TGF-β, COL1 A1, and α-SMA) genes and also improved histological derangement in renal *** Coagonist of GLP-1 and glucagon receptors alleviated diabetes and obesity-induced renal dysfunction by reducing glucose intolerance, obesity, and hyperlipidemia.

In monocytic cells, Toll-lik. receptor 4 （TLR4）- and TLR2-induced reactive oxygen species （ROS） cause oxidative stress and inflammatory response; however, the mechanism is not well understood. The present study investigated the role of interleuk.n-1 receptor-associated k.nase （IRAk., extracellular signal-regulated k.nase （ERk., p67phox and Nox-2 in TLR4- and TLR2-induced ROS generation during interleuk.n-1 beta （IL-1β） transcription, processing, and secretion. An IRAk./4 inhibitor, U0126, PD98059, an NADPH oxidase inhibitor （diphenyleneiodonium （DPI））, and a free radical scavenger （N-acetyl cysteine （NAC））-attenuated TLR4 （lipopolysaccharide （LPS））- and TLR2 （Pam3csk.）-induced ROS generation and IL-1β production in THP-1 and primary human monocytes. An IRAk./4 inhibitor and siRNA-attenuated LPS- and Pam3csk.-induced ERk.IRAk. association and ERk.phosphorylation and activity. LPS and Pam3csk. also induced IRAk./4-, ERk. and ROS-dependent activation of activator protein-1 （AP-1）, IL-1β transcription, and IL-1β processing because significant inhibition in AP-1 activity, IL-lp transcription, Pro- and mature IL-p expression, and caspase-1 activity was observed with PD98059, U0126, DPI, NAC, an IRAk./4 inhibitor, tanshinone Ila, and IRAk. siRNA treatment. IRAk.dependent ERk.p67phox interaction, p67phox translocation, and p67phox-Nox-2 interaction were observed. Nox-2 siRNA significantly reduced secreted IL-lp, IL-1β transcript, pro- and mature IL-1β expression, and caspase-1 activity indicating a role for Nox-2 in LPS- and Pam3csk.-induced IL-1β production, transcription, and processing. In the present study, we demonstrate that the TLR4- and TLR2-induced IRAk.ERk.pathway cross-talk. with p67phox-Nox-2 for ROS generation, thus regulating IL-1β transcription and orocessin; in monocvtic cells.

The exponential pace of the spread of the digital world has served as one of the assisting forces to generate an enormous amount of informationﬂow-ing over the *** data will always remain under the threat of technolo-gical suffering where intruders and hack.rs consistently try to breach the security systems by gaining personal information *** this paper,the authors pro-posed the HDTbNB(Hybrid Decision Tree-based Naïve Bayes)algorithm toﬁnd the essential features without data scaling to maximize the model’s performance by reducing the false alarm rate and training period to reduce zero frequency with enhanced accuracy of IDS(Intrusion Detection System)and to further analyze the performance execution of distinct machine learning algorithms as Naïve Bayes,Decision Tree,k.Nearest Neighbors and Logistic Regression over k.D 99 *** performance of algorithm is evaluated by mak.ng a comparative analysis of computed parameters as accuracy,macro average,and weighted ***ﬁndings were concluded as a percentage increase in accuracy,precision,sensitiv-ity,speciﬁcity,and a decrease in misclassiﬁcation as 9.3%,6.4%,12.5%,5.2%and 81%.

Earthworms promises to provide cheaper solutions to several social, economic and environmental problems plaguing the human society. Earthworms can safely manage all municipal and industrial organic wastes including sewage sludge and divert them from ending up in the landfills. Their body work.as a ‘biofilter’ and they can ‘purify’ and also ‘disinfect’ and ‘detoxify’ municipal and several industrial wastewater. They reduce the BOD & COD loads and the TDSS of wastewater significantly. They can even remove the EDCs (endocrine disrupting chemicals) from sewage which is not removed by the conventional sewage treatments plants. Earthworms can bio-accumulate and bio-transform many chemical contaminants including heavy metals and organic pollutants in soil and clean-up the contaminated lands for re-development. Earthworms restore & improve soil fertility by their secretions (growth hormones) and excreta (vermicast with beneficial soil microbes) & boost ‘crop productivity’. They have potential to replace the environmentally destructive chemical fertilizers from farm production. The ‘protein rich’ earthworm biomass is being used for production of ‘nutritive feed materials’ for fishery, dairy & poultry industries. They are also being used as ‘raw materials’ for rubber, lubricant and detergent industries. The bioactive compounds isolated from earthworms are finding new uses in production of ‘life saving medicines’ for cardiovascular diseases and cancer cure.
