As of August 16,2021,there have been 207,173,086 confirmed cases and 4,361,996 deaths due to the coronavirus disease(COVID-19),and the pandemic remains a global *** date,no effective and approved drugs are available for the treatment of ***-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)plays a crucial role in the invasion into host cells by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),the etiological agent of ***,ACE2 density is influenced by medical conditions,such as hypertension,or by drugs,including angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors(ACEIs)and angiotensin receptor blockers(ARBs),which can change the fate of SARS-CoV-2 ***2 is a target for these drugs and can be manipulated to limit the viral entry and replication within the *** strategies aimed at blocking ACE2 with small molecules,peptides,and antibodies,or by neutralizing the virus through its competitive binding with human recombinant soluble ACE2(hrsACE2)are currently under *** this article,we review the current state of knowledge that emphasizes the need to find effective therapeutic agents against COVID-19 by exploiting ACE2 as a potential *** increased soluble ACE2 levels and the application of hrsACE2 in patients with COVID-19 can be implemented to control the *** has not yet been established whether hypertension and other comorbidities,independent of age,have a direct role in ***,the use of renin-angiotensin system inhibitors,ACEIs and ARBs,should not be discontinued during COVID-19 treatment.

Objective:Andrographis paniculata is a well-known medicinal plant in Southeast Asia,India and *** plant contains andrographolide(AN),a very important phytochemical used in various health ***,AN is low in oral absorption bioavailability of AN due to the rapid clearance and high protein binding ***:The present study was aimed to develop a nano-phytovesicular formulation of semi-purified AN extracts from a naturally occurring phospholipid(soya phosphatidylcholine)in order to increase the oral absorption and antihyperglycemic activity in ***:The nano-phyto vesicle of semi-purified AN extracts equivalent to 25 mg/kg AN significantly protected the hyperglycemic condition of *** in vitro and in vivo experiments results proved that the nano-phytovesicular system of plant extracts containing AN produced better oral absorption,bioavailability and improved antihyperglycemic activity compared with that of free AN at dose of 50 mg/***:Hence,the prepared semi-purified extract nano-phytovesicular system is helpful in solving the problem of rapid clearance of AN.

An Insight on Small Molecule Induced Foot-Print Free Naive Pluripotent Stem Cells in Livestock

Bona fide embryonic stem cell (ESC) lines from livestock species have been challenging to derive and maintain, contrasting mouse and human ESCs. However, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) generated by reprogramming somatic cells tender an option, as they display characteristic features of ESC. The comprehension that induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) could be created with in no time also holds the potential of allowing pluripotent cells to be derived from animal models vital in biomedical research. Endeavors to produce bona fide pluripotent stem cells (PSC) from livestock have been going on for more than two decades. But, attempts to derive bona fide livestock iPS cells have met with limited success. Recently it’s been reported that small molecules can augment reprogramming efficiency and may be used to substitute few or all transcription factors used for reprogramming. It is assumed that the reprogramming factors are conserved among species, and this small molecule reprogramming approach will probably apply to livestock species as well. So this review will focus mainly on the accomplishments of small molecules on accelerating cell reprogramming and obtaining naive pluripotency, and raise a new insight on, exogenous genes free, livestock naive iPSC generation with a new bullet, small molecule.

Treatments to repair the human heart following regenerative diseases remain a challenge for medical science. Unlike lower vertebrate species the human heart lacks a regenerative pathway meaning that research has to be focused on cell transplantation. Porcines (Sus scrofa) are excellent models for cardiovascular disease and pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) generated from porcines will provide important clinical insights for cardiac cell therapy. This could open a new avenue of research into degenerative conditions as porcine is a more effective human proxy to work with. However, bona fide PSCs are currently available onlyin rodents (mouse, rat) and primates (monkey, human). Attempts to derivepluripotent stem cells (PSCs) from porcine have been going on for more than two decades with slow progress. Despite the fact that the porcine stem cells are under increasing glare of publicity due to milestone achievements in this area of research. Advances in stem cell technology, especially the genetic engineering, innovative cell culturing and induced pluripotency to generate stem cells has dramatically revolutionized the basic and applied investigations and applications of porcine stem cells. This review attempts to summarize the major signaling pathways involved in maintenance of pluripotency and the state of the art conceptual and technical progress for generating bona fide porcine PSCs.

Pseudomonas fluorescens-like bacteria from the stomach:A microbiological and molecular study

AIM:To characterize oxidase-and urease-producing bacterial isolates,grown aerobically,that originated from antral biopsies of patients suffering from acid peptic ***:A total of 258 antral biopsy specimens were subjected to isolation of bacteria followed by tests for oxidase and urease production,acid tolerance and aerobic *** selected isolates were further characterized by molecular techniques *** for 16S rRNA using universal eubacterial and HSP60 gene specific *** amplicons were subjected to restriction analysis and partial sequencing.A phylogenetic tree was generated using unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean(UPGMA) from evolutionary distance computed with bootstrap test of *** of acidity tolerance of bacteria isolated from antrum was performed using hydrochloric acid from 10-7 mol/L to 10-1 mol/***:Of the 258 antral biopsy specimens collected from patients,179(69.4%) were positive for urease production by rapid urease test and 31%(80/258) yielded typical Helicobacter pylori(***) after 5-7 d of incubation under a microaerophilic environment.A total of 240(93%) antral biopsies yielded homogeneous semi-translucent and small colonies after overnight *** partial 16S rRNA sequences revealed that the isolates had 99% similarity with Pseudomonas species.A phylogenetic tree on the basis of 16S rRNA sequences denoted that JQ927226 and JQ927227 were likely to be related to Pseudomonas fluorescens(***).On the basis ofHSP60 sequences applied to the UPGMA phylogenetic tree,it was observed that isolated strains in an aerobic environment were likely to be ***,and HSP60 sequences had more discriminatory potential rather than 16S rRNA ***,this bacterium was acid tolerant for hours at low ***,a total of 250(96.9%) genomic DNA samples of 258 biopsy specimens and DNA from 240 bacterial isolates were positive for the 613 bp amplicons by targetin

Synthesis of Bi2Fe4O9 Crystalline Ceramic as Extremely Capable Photocatalyst via Proficient Chemical Route

Bi2Fe4O9 crystalline ceramic was successfully synthesized through a soft chemical route at lower sintering temperature for analysis of photocatalytic behavior with respect to adsorption of Congo Red (CR) in the presence of UV-VIS irradiation. The single-phase formation of Bi2Fe4O9 ceramic was confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction studies and particle size observed by TEM analysis was found to be 148 ± 5 nm which reveals the crystalline nature of the materials. Additionally, the photocatalytic activity of Bi2Fe4O9 ceramic was evaluated by the degradation of Congo Red in presence of visible light. The optical band gap (Eg) of the synthesized materials was found to be 1.8 eV. It exhibited greater photocatalytic activity than other synthesized materials like BiFeO3 as well as TiO2 due to a smaller band gap (1.8 eV). Furthermore, process variables such as pH.
