The article introduces a finite element procedure using the bilinear quadrilateral element or four-node rectangular element(namely Q4 element) based on a refined first-order shear deformation theory(rFSDT) and Monte Carlo simulation(MCS), so-called refined stochastic finite element method to investigate the random vibration of functionally graded material(FGM) plates subjected to the moving *** advantage of the proposed method is to use r-FSDT to improve the accuracy of classical FSDT, satisfy the stress-free condition at the plate boundaries, and combine with MCS to analyze the vibration of the FGM plate when the parameter inputs are random quantities following a normal distribution. The obtained results show that the distribution characteristics of the vibration response of the FGM plate depend on the standard deviation of the input parameters and the velocity of the moving ***, the numerical results in this study are expected to contribute to improving the understanding of FGM plates subjected to moving loads with uncertain input parameters.

Resource modeling plays a crucial role in raw material quality management for cement *** has shown that geological uncertainty in resource modeling is inevitable and results in risk to future extraction planning and operations of the cement *** study aims to assess the geological uncertainty and associated risk in modeling a cement raw material deposit in southern *** this deposit,soil,clay,laterite,and limestone are the four primary rock types,controlling the occurrence and spatial distribution of chemical *** this study,hierarchical simulation method was used to evaluate the *** types were first simulated,and the chemical grades conditioning to the rock types were then *** results demonstrated the capability of the hierarchical simulation approach to incorporate the uncertainty of rock types in resource modeling and to allow evaluating the risks in providing the desired raw material for the cement plant in the form of grade-tonnage curves.

Green tea is a popular product with a high consumption in vietnam. Moreover, green tea produced in Tan Cuong commune, Thai Nguyen province, has long been recognized for its superior quality to those coming from other regions of the country. This study aims at comparing the tea from Thai Nguyen and phu Tho and finding out if the difference can be identified through sensory analysis. Two products picked from Tan Cuong, Thai Nguyen province, and two others from phu Ho district, phu Tho province were evaluated by a trained panel of 12 judges （11 women and 1 man）. The sensory evaluation of the dry tea （11 descriptors） was carried out separately from the brewed tea （21 descriptors） and brewed leaf （five descriptors） using an unstructured intensity scale （10 cm）. Statistic analyses have shown differences between regions in all three groups of attributes： dry leaf, liquor and brewed leaf.

Development of 24 and 59 keV Filtered Neutron Beams for Neutron Capture Experiments at Dalat Research Reactor

External filtered neutron beams have been developed at the horizontal radial channels No. 4 of Dalat research reactor. In the material composition of the neutron filters, the primary material components of Iron, Aluminum, Nickel and Vanadium are used to obtain the mono-energetic neutron beams of 24 and 59 keV, with low level of Gamma and slow neutron background. A computer code and Monte-Carlo simulation technique were applied to optimize the filter configurations and to deduce the neutron energy distributions in the filtered beams. A hydrogen-filled proton recoil detector and the activation method with Gold foils were used to measure the neutron energy spectrum and flux of each beam at sample position. The results of experimental neutron fluxes are 6.1 × 105 and 5.3 × 105 n/cm2/s for 24 and 59 keV beams, respectively.

Objective:To investigate the anti-proliferative effects of 20-hydroxyecdysone isolated from the bark of Dacrycarpus imbricatus(Blume) de ***:Column chromatography was used for isolation of compounds from plant *** structure of the isolated compound was identified by mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance techniques,including HSQC,HMBC,NOE-difference *** isolated compound was tested for its anti-proliferative activity in acute myeloid leukemia(AML) and OCI-AML ***:Compound 1 was isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction of Dacrycarpus imbricatus barks by column *** chemical structure was identified as 20-hydroxyecdysone(20HE),a cholestane-type ecdysteroid,by a combination of mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometric *** goal was to test the anti-proliferative activity of 20 HE using the OCI-AML cell line.20 HE significantly decreased OCI cell number at a concentration of 1 mg/mL,whereas lower concentrations were ***,this decrease was due to partial blockage of the G_1/S phase of the cell cycle,with a reduction of cells in the G_2M phase,not due to increased ***:This indicates that 20 HE significantly decreases the number of cells in the G_1/S phase of the cell cycle in human AML *** is the first time that the anti-proliferative activity of 20 HE against a human tumor cell line has been reported.

Current Status of Sludge Collection, transportation and Treatment in Ho Chi Minh City

In the process of construction and development, Ho Chi Minh City is discharging about six types of sludge: 1) sludge from urban wastewater drainage systems;2) sludge from industrial wastewater drainage system;3) sludge from the canal dredging activities periodically;4) sludge from septic tanks;5) sludge from the water treatment station/plant;6) sludge from the construction sites. Sludge’s components are very different among types of sludge, sludge from the sewer network and canal dredging contain mainly sand and soil (70% - 90% dry weight), while the sludge from the wastewater/water treatment station/plant and from septic tanks contain mainly biodegradable organic substances (55% - 80% dry weight). The concentrations of all above-mentioned sludge (except sludge from the hazardous industrial wastewater treatment plant) are lower than toxic threshold. The volume of total sludge is about 3000 - 4000 m3/day (5000 - 6000 tons/day), excepting the amount of sludge generated from the water treatment plant (which is collected and treated separately). Sludge from wastewater treatment plants and septic tanks is collected, transported and recycled to become organic fertilizer. The other types of sludge are collected, transported, and disposed at the “unknown” locations, even though they have different values for use.

AIM:To determine the dry eye(DE)rate and its relationship with disease stage in patients with primary ***:A cross-sectional study included 432 patients with primary hypertension(with an equal number of patients in each group:144 in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ hypertension)and 144 healthy subjects as a control *** Ocular Surface Disease Index(OSDI)and Schirmer Ⅰ test without anesthetics were conducted on all 576 *** with OSDI scores<13 and Schirmer Ⅰ values equal to or under 10 mm were diagnosed with ***:The ratio of DE in hypertension patients was higher than in the control group(41.7%versus 18.8%;P<0.001).The proportion of patients with DE increased gradually according to the hypertension stage:27.1% in stage Ⅰ,40.3% in stage Ⅱ,and 57.6% in stage Ⅲ,P<***,duration of hypertension,plasma urea,creatinine,and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(CRP-hs)levels in hypertension patients with DE were higher than those without DE,P<*** age,a long duration of hypertension,diabetes mellitus,elevated plasma creatinine,and CRP-hs levels were independent factors associated with DE in primary hypertension patients,P<***:DE is a common disorder associated with advanced age,a long duration of hypertension,diabetes mellitus,elevated plasma CRP-hs,and creatinine levels in patients with primary hypertension.
