Objective:To investigate the chemical composition of a moderately polar extract(CHC1_3 soluble part of the MeOH-H_2O extract) obtained from the aerial parts(leaves and flowers) of Centaurea diluta ***(Coss.& Dur.) Maire,a species endemic to Algeria and Morocco on which no reports are available to *** evaluate in vitro the cytotoxic,antifungal and antimicrobial activities of this extract and the cytotoxic and antimicrobial activities of its isolated secondary ***:The cytotoxic effects of the extract were investigated on 3 human cancer cell lines *** A549 non-small-cell lung carcinoma(NSCLC),the MCF7 breast adenocarcinoma and the U373 glioblastoma using a MTT colorimetric *** data allowed to guide the fractionation of the extract by separation and purification on silica gel 60(CC and TLC).The isolated compounds which were characterized by spectral analysis,mainly HR-ESIMS,HR-EIMS,UV and NMR experiments(~1H,^(13)C,COSY,ROESY,HSQC and HMBC) and comparison of their spectroscopic data with those reported in the literature,were evaluated for cytotoxic activities on six cancer cell lines(A549,MCF7,U373,Hs683 human glioma,PC3 human prostate and B16-F10 murine melanoma).The direct and indirect antibacterial and antifungal activities were determined using microdilution methods for the raw extract and TLC-bioautography and microdilution methods against standard and clinical strains for the isolated ***:The raw extract reduced cell viability with IC_(50)s of 27,25 and 21 μg/mL on A549,MCF7 and U373,*** secondary metabolites:two phenolic compounds(vanillin 1,paridol 3),a lignan[(-)-arctigenin 2]and two flavonoid aglycones(eupatilin 4 and jaceosidin 5),were then isolated from this *** cytotoxic effects were observed for(-)-arctigenin 2(IC_(50)s:28 and 33μM on Hs683 and B16-F10,respectively),eupatilin 4(IC_(50)s:33 and 47 μM on B16-F10 and PC3,respectively) and jaceosidin 5(IC_(50)s:32 a

Immunity and senescence play a crucial role in the functioning of the legume symbiotic *** miss-regulation of one of these processes compromises the symbiosis leading to death of the endosymbiont and the arrest of the nodule *** relationship between immunity and senescence has been exten-sively studied in plant organs where a synergistic response can be ***,the interplay be-tween immunity and senescence in the symbiotic organ is poorly discussed in the literature and these phe-nomena are often mixed *** studies revealed that the cooperation between immunity and senescence is not always observed in the nodule,suggesting complex interactions between these two pro-cesses within the symbiotic ***,we discuss recent results on the interplay between immunity and senescence in the nodule and the specificities of this relationship during legume-rhizobium symbiosis.

为了探究利用外加电源方式对钢筋混凝土进行再碱化处理的耐久性效果,人工碳化钢混板经过8.5 d的再碱化处理后,在恒温恒湿实验室里存放540 d,然后在室外自然老化360 d.期间,采用多种分析化学方法(酚酞指示剂法;混凝土粉样测试法;原子吸收光谱法)对混凝土的再碱化程度进行量化分析,同时应用多种电化学技术(自由电势、线性极化电阻技术、电化学阻抗技术)对钢筋腐蚀的活性变化进行评估.实验结果表明:采用外加电源方式对碳化钢筋混凝土进行再碱化处理后,混凝土保护层可在一定程度上被有效的再碱化,且具有很好的耐久性,但钢筋腐蚀的活性只在短期内(360 d左右)有效下降,900 d后,其活性又恢复到处理前的水平.

Most molecularly characterized plant resistance genes(R genes)belong to the nucleotide-binding-site-leucine-rich-repeat(NLR)receptor family and are prone to duplication and transposition with high sequence *** this family,the Vat gene in melon is one of the few R genes known for conferring resistance to insect,i.e.,Aphis gossypii,but it has been misassembled and/or mispredicted in the whole genomes of *** examined 14 genomic regions(about 400 kb)derived from long-read assemblies spanning Vat-related genes in Cucumis melo,Cucumis sativus,Citrullus lanatus,Benincasa hispida,Cucurbita argyrosperma,and Momordica *** built the phylogeny of those *** the paleohistory of the Vat gene cluster,we revealed a step by step process beginning from a common ancestry in cucurbits older than 50 *** highlighted Vat exclusively in the Cucumis genera,which diverged about 20 my *** then focused on melon,evaluating a minimum duplication rate of Vat in 80 wild and cultivated melon lines using generalist primers;our results suggested that duplication started before melon *** phylogeny of 44 Vat-CDS obtained from 21 melon lines revealed gain and loss of leucine-rich-repeat domains along ***,we revealed the high putative recognition scale offered in melon based on a combination of SNPs,number of leucine-rich-repeat domains within each homolog and number of homologs within each cluster that might jointly confer resistance to a large pest and pathogen *** on our findings,we propose possible avenues for breeding programs.

The level of competitions among ports keep increasing as port worldwide keep upgrading and expanding their port infrastructures so as to capture the greater share of the market. Every continent phases these competitions. This phenomenon is more prominent in developed countries where ports do not only compete among regional ports but also compete with other ports within the same country such as in America, some European countries and part of Asia like in China. However, the situation is a bit different when it comes to African ports. Most African ports have poor infrastructures and limited technological investments and so port competitions in the African continent cannot be compared with that of the western ports. Despite these setbacks, there is a significant amount of competition among these African ports, especially on a regional basis. The aim of this paper is to determine which port can serve as a hub port between the West and Central African ports along the Gulf of Guinea. The method that will be used to evaluate these ports will be a port indexing method. This method considers different indices for port evaluation to determine the most suitable port. The port of Tema appeared as the most suitable port to serve as a hub port.
