The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of Beauveria bassiana(Bb 1205)on controlling Fusarium oxysporum ***(Fol 17108)in tomato plants in greenhouse *** of Bb 1205 was the most promising among the agronomic variables and expression of the activity of the enzymesβ-1,3-glucanases and *** of Bb 1205 occurred at a concentration of 1×108 conidia·mL−1,which was administered onto the leaves,directly into the soil and via *** with Fol 17108 occurred with 1×106 spores·mL−1,which were added directly to the *** was used for measuring agronomic parameters,namely activity of chitinases andβ-1,3-glucanases in foliage and *** Bb 1205 was added to the soil,the chlorophyll index and aerial part length showed significant *** addition,it was determined that root length,fresh weight of foliage,flower,and fruit count increased 82 days after inoculation(dai).Chitinase activity induced by Bb 1205 in leaves and roots of tomato plants infected with Fol 17108 was observed when injected into the stem at 32 dai(41.8 and 11.6-fold,respectively).Inoculation on the foliage showed a 10-fold increase ofβ-1,3-glucanases in the roots after 82 *** for leaves,a 3.8-fold increase was found when the stem was *** the different in vivo applications,Bb 1205 activated its defenses by expressing the chitinase enzymes andβ-1,3-glucanase,thus reducing the damage caused by Fol 17108,demonstrating increase plant growth thereafter.

A sedentary lifestyle and obesity are important risk factors for severe CovID-19 complications and death[1,2].Excessive adipose tissue(AT)might contribute to more extensive viral spread with increased shedding,immune activation,and cytokine amplification[3].Several factors secreted by contracting muscle,termed myokines,mediate the beneficial effects of exercise in a wide range of diseases,including obesity[4].Thus,we conducted a study to explore the potential role of myokines of the fibronectin type III domain-containing family,FNDC4 and FNDC5,in mechanisms underlying the increased susceptibility to CovID-19 complications in obesity.

Removal of Aqueous Lead and Copper Ions by Using Natural Hydroxyapatite Powder and Sulphide Precipitation in Cyanidation Process

Mining, ore processing, and smelting activities have contaminated soil and water resources with cyanide and heavy metals throughout the world. In-situ chemical immobilization is a remediation technology that decreases the concentrations of dissolved ions of copper cyanide and lead hydroxides by adsorption or precipitation. This study deals, with a process to recover lead hydroxides with natural hydroxyapatite powder and copper cyanide ions with sulphide precipitation from solutions of the cyanidation process. This technology is based on inducing nucleated precipitation of copper and silver in a serpentine reactor, using sodium sulfide as the precipitator, and sulfuric acid for pH control. Results show that pH value has a significant effect on copper cyanide removal efficiency, and it was determined the optimal pH range to be 2.5 - 3. At this pH value, the copper cyanide removal efficiency achieved was up to 99% with 60 percent of copper purity and the cyanide ions associated with this complex the recovery was 90%. For the elimination of lead hydroxides ions from the aqueous cyanidation process with natural hydroxiapatite powder the recovery was 99%. The abundance of cow bones, its low price and non-aggressive nature towards the environment are advantages for its utilization in point of view of wastewater cleanup and Dore with higher quality.

Selection and Analysis of Polymorphisms in Somaclonal variants of Agave americana Resistant to Fusarium oxysporum via an Ethyl Methanesulphonate Treatment

Agave americana *** were exposed to different concentrations of ethyl methanesulphonate(EMS)0,15,30,45 and 60 mM and to different times of exposure(2 and 4 h).The viability and capacity of shoot formation were shown to be affected when the callus were exposed to high concentrations(30–60 mM).only the callus exposed to 15 mM EMS presented shoot formation;the exposure time of two hours produced the largest quantity of shoots regenerated per callus(21 shoots/callus).In order to generate somaclonal variants resistant to Fusarium oxysporum,a selection pressure was applied through of a culture filtrate(CF)of 100 ppm of the *** was made in callus obtained in the treatment with 15 mM EMS during 2 h of *** CF caused oxidation and necrosis in 71.25%of the callus;however,they were capable of generating shoots(3.5 shoots/callus).Molecular markers type RAPD,ISSR and DAMD were used to evaluate the genetic variation arising from the mutations caused by EMS on control plants and 16-month-old somaclonal *** polymorphic information content(PIC)for each one of the initiating groups was:0.28(DAMD),0.09(ISSR)and 0.14(RAPD).DAMD revealed a greater percentage of polymorphism than RAPD and *** bands were detected in the somaclonal *** indicated that the EMS caused genetic variation in the regenerated plants conferring resistance to them against Fusarium oxysporum.

The adsorption capacities for the removal of hexavalent chromium from aqueous solutions by six carbon nanomaterials have been evaluated. Single-walled and multi-walled carbon nanotubes as received and after oxidation treatment, graphene oxide and reduced graphene oxide are the materials with different dimension and functionalization compared in this research. Carbon nanotubes have been modified using hydrogen peroxide as oxidizing agent under microwave radiation. The oxidation treatment on carbon nanotubes has a positive effect increasing the adsorbent–adsorbate interaction. Rate-controlling mechanisms and equilibrium data are analyzed using non-linear models. Non-linear method is proposed as the most suitable method for determining the kinetic and equilibrium parameters. The values of adsorption energy(E) obtained from the Dubinin–Radushkevich isotherm,have been found around 0.371 and 0.870 k J·mol-1, indicating physical adsorption. Therefore, the pseudo-second order model represents better the kinetic experimental data. The results show that the Langmuir isotherm provides a slightly better fit to the experimental data compared with the Freundlich isotherm, indicating homogeneous distribution of active sites on carbon nanomaterials and monolayer adsorption. The separation factors RLare found in the range of 0–1, suggesting that the adsorption process is suitable for all adsorbents. The mechanisms for hexavalent chromium removal have been proposed as electrostatic interactions and hydrogen bonding.

Computational Method for Extracting and Modeling Periodicities in Time Series

Periodicity is common in natural processes, however, extraction tools are typically difficult and cumbersome to use. Here we report a computational method developed in MATLAB through a function called Periods with the aim to find the main harmonic components of time series data. This function is designed to obtain the period, amplitude and lag phase of the main harmonic components in a time series (Periods and lag phase components can be related to climate, social or economic events). It is based on methods of periodic regression with cyclic descent and includes statistical significance testing. The proposed method is very easy to use. Furthermore, it does not require full understanding of time series theory, nor require many inputs from the user. However, it is sufficiently flexible to undertake more complex tasks such as forecasting. Additionally, based on previous knowledge, specific periods can be included or excluded easily. The output results are organized into two groups. one contains the parameters of the adjusted model and their F statistics. The other consists of the harmonic parameters that best fit the original series according to their importance and the summarized statistics of the comparisons between successive models in the cyclic descent process. Periods is tested with both, simulated and actual sunspot and Multivariate ENSo Index data to show its performance and accuracy.

HoD Detector, a System to Create Indicators about the Happiness of Citizens in a Smart City: Case of Study—GDL Smart City

Happiness is the ultimate goal for every living human being, and this condition motivates people to stay active and want to be alive. Having this feeling also fosters the proactivity of citizens. The opposite is depression, a condition capable of significantly affecting a person’s behavior or perception. HoD Detector is a low-cost, easy to use application that aids in the diagnosis of a depressive disorder and motivates the user to seek professional help. The purpose of this study is to propose a way to measure happiness through the measurement of depression;to develop HoD Detector, evaluate the accuracy and usability of this application (with university students) for future enhancements of the system. The development of this application involved basic algorithms and the use of a database to successfully make a diagnosis and store the results of each user for further reference. The application is capable of giving a proper diagnosis with the time interval of 2 - 5 minutes. HoD Detector has the potential to become an extremely useful tool to diagnose depression and motivate users to seek professional help not only in Mexico, but also on an international scale for improving in people’s happiness condition.
