The paper discussed the influence of the forms of sediment accumulation on the surface of g.aciers on their chemical and physicochemical *** materials sampled from the surface of five g.aciers of the Svalbard Archipelag. was *** studied such forms of sediment accumulation as dirt cones-the ice core covered with sediments and cryoconite holes-hollows on the g.acier surface containing.cryoconite *** such as total org.nic carbon content,microbiolog.cal activity,pH,the content of mobile forms of potassium and phosphorus,and concentrations of heavy and trace metals were ***,mesomorpholog.cal studies were carried out and the polydisperse composition of the sediments was *** to the results of this work,it was found that the content of org.nic carbon in the material selected from dirt cones and cryoconite holes can be up to 2.5%,but the content of clay particles in it is mainly at the 10–15%*** concentrations are up to 250 mg.kg.and phosphorus is up to 800 mg.*** content of metals is typical or lower than in the previously published *** main influence on the chemical composition of materials has a g.og.aphical factor of the sampling.site,rather than the form of material accumulation.

Kinetics of spontaneous crystallization of potassium nitrate from its supersaturated aqueous solutions has been studied simultaneously by electrical conductance and optical transmittance methods. It was found that spontaneous crystallization of potassium nitrate was accompanied by ag.reg.tion of crystals. g.owth of salt crystals was in the kinetic mode of the g.owth process, and was described by the equation of the first order reg.rding.supersaturation of solution. The mechanism of ag.reg.tion and interg.owth of crystals during.bulk crystallization via formation of nucleus-bridg.s between crystals found earlier for several salts was confirmed. Specific surface energ. of potassium nitrate was evaluated on the basis of the above mechanism of ag.reg.tion and interg.owth of crystals. The established value of the specific surface energ. was reasonable and ag.eed satisfactorily with the available literature data. Examination of crystal deposit after completion of crystallization allowed detecting.crystal ag.lomerates of freakish and irreg.lar forms, which may be considered as the direct confirmation of the above mechanism of interg.owth of crystals. Kinetics of crystallization, ag.reg.tion and size distribution of salt crystals after completion of crystallization have been satisfactory described by the earlier proposed model of the crystallization process. An excellent ag.eement was established between the experimental data on potassium nitrate solubility in aqueous solutions found in the present work and those available in the literature.

We examined a cohort of 93 cystic fibrosis(CF)male patients who were pancreatic-sufficient(PS-CF;n=40)or pancreatic-insufficient(PI-CF;n=53).Complex semen examination was performed,including.standard semen analysis,quantitative karyolog.cal analysis(QKA)of immature g.rm cells(Ig.s),transmission electronic microscopy(TEM),biochemical analysis,and sperm DNA frag.entation by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nickend labeling.TUNEL)*** was diag.osed in 83(89.2%)*** other 10(10.8%)patients were found to be nonazoospermic and showed various spermatolog.cal diag.oses(asthenozoospermia,n=2;asthenoteratozoospermia,n=3;olig.asthenozoospermia,n=1;olig.asthenoteratozoospermia,n=3;and normozoospermia,n=1)with no specific morpholog.cal *** was detected in 89.2%azoospermic and 30.0%nonazoospermic *** seminal pH(vealed in 2.4%azoospermic and 40.0%nonazoospermic semen *** sig.s of partial meiotic arrest at prophase I were found in 4 of 6 nonazoospermic patients examined by QKA of *** content of fructose and citrate was low in olig.spermic and normal in nonolig.spermic semen *** increased percentag.(>30%)of spermatozoa with noncondensed(“immature”)chromatin was revealed in 2 of 6 nonazoospermic semen samples analyzed by TEM.

Rationale: The known prognosis factors for rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) in children do not always explain the unsatisfactory outcome of treatment. Changes in the subpopulation composition of Bone Marrow (BM) effector cells during the development of RMS may indicate new directions for the search for prognostic factors and points for the impact of targeted therapy. Purpose: To identify correlations between quantitative changes in the levels of subpopulations of T, B and NK-lymphocytes of BM and known risk factors for RMS in children. Objects: The study included 31 patients. The main group included 16 patients with RMS, average age—6.8 ± 1.0 years, while children 1 - 10 years old—13 (81.3%), over 10 years old—3 (18.8%) people, girls and boys were 8 people each. Anodic processes on Cu-10 Al electrode in molten KF-AlF3-Al2O3(saturated) and suspensions were characterized using.chronopotentiometric and cyclic voltammetric techniques. Effects of cryolite ratio(CR= x(KF)/x(AlF3)), temperature and particle volume fraction(φ) on the electrochemical behaviour of the anode were demonstrated. Initially, the anode was polarised in the g.lvanostatic mode in melt and suspensions(φ=0.12, 0.15) at 750 ℃ with 0.4 A/cm^2 current density. The anode potential in melt varied between 2.5 and 3.2 v and in suspensions(φ= 0.12) between 3.3 and 3.4 v. XRD analysis was conducted to study the oxide phases on the anode surface. Anode limiting.current densities and mass transfer coefficients drastically decreased with the increase of φ in the suspension. The results sug.est that the Cu-10 Al electrode works better in suspensions with CR of 1.4 and particle volume fraction of 0.09 at 800 ℃.

Objective: To assess the secondary sex ratio (SSR) of assisted reproduction technolog. babies within a fertility clinic in Melbourne, Australia. Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted on 3369 babies who were born following.sing.e embryo transfer between 2011 and 2016. variables examined included embryo creation date, maternal and paternal ag.s, maternal body mass index (BMI), type of infertility, sperm parameters, fertilization method, type of embryo and stag. of transfer. Multivariate reg.ession analysis was performed on the data set using.STRATA v9.2. Results: More males were found to be born to embryos created in summer (adjusted odds ratio=1.46, 95% confidence interval: 1.08-1.95;P=0.01). Lower BMI of mother (≤30 kg.m 2) and young.r ag. of parents (≤35 years) were associated with an increase in SSR (50.1% vs. 47.1%;50.6% vs. 48.8%;50.0% vs. 48.9%) respectively. Decreased SSR value was associated with primary subfertility, using.in-vitro fertilization procedure and fresh embryo compared to those with secondary subfertility, using.intracytoplasmic sperm injection procedure and thawed embryo (49.3% vs. 50.6%;47.1% vs. 50.8%;49.4% vs. 50.1%) respectively. Conclusions: The fertilization methods, type of embryo, stag. of embryo transfer, parameters of the sperm and status of subfertility do not sig.ificantly affect the SSR. SSR is affected by the seasonality, maternal ag., and BMI.
