Terlipressin has been shown to improve both pulmonary and systemic hemodynamics in stable cirrhotic patients with pulmonary hypertension,whereas other vasoconstrictors may cause pulmonary pressures to deteriorate We investigated the pulmonary and systemic hemodynamic effects of the first terlipressin dose(2 mg) in 7 cirrhotic patients with PH presenting with variceal bleeding(n=4) or hepatorenal syndrome(n=3).Terlipressin decreased pulmonary vascular resistance(158.8±8.9 vs 186.5±13.9 dynes sec cm-5 ;P=0.003) together with an increase in systemic vascular resistance(2143± 126 vs 1643±126 dynes sec cm-5 ;Pssin should be the vasoconstrictor treatment of choice when patients present with variceal bleeding or HRs.

The observed microwave background radiation （MBR） is commonly in- terpreted as the relic of an early hot universe, and its observed features （spectrum and anisotropy） are explained in terms of properties of the early universe. Here we describe a complementary, even possibly alternative, interpretation of MBR, first proposed in the early 20th century, and adapt it to modern observations. For example, the stellar Hipparcos data show that the energy density of starlight from the Milky Way, if suit- ably thermalized, yields a temperature of ~2.81 K. This and other arguments given here strongly suggest that the origin of MBR may lie, at least in a very large part, in re-radiation of thermalized galactic starlight. The strengths and weaknesses of this alternative radical explanation are discussed.

Metabolic engineering requires fine-tuned gene expression for most pathway optimization *** develop a suitable suite of promoters,traditional bacterial promoter engineering efforts have focused on modifications to the core region,especially the−10 and−35 regions,of native ***,we demonstrate an alternate,unexplored route of promoter engineering through randomization of the UP element of the promoter—a region that contacts the alpha subunit carboxy-terminal domain instead of the sigma subunit of the RNA polymerase *** this work,we identify five novel UP element sequences through library-based searches in Escherichia *** resulting elements were used to activate the *** core promoter,rrnD promoter,to levels on par and higher than the prevalent strong bacterial promoter,*** relative levels of expression activation were transferrable when applied upstream of alternate core promoter sequences,including rrnA and *** work thus presents and validates a novel strategy for bacterial promoter engineering with transferability across varying core promoters and potential for transferability across bacterial species.

Frauds don’t follow any recurring *** require the use of unsupervised learning since their behaviour is continually ***-sters have access to the most recent technology,which gives them the ability to defraud people through online *** make assumptions about consumers’routine behaviour,and fraud develops *** learning must be used by fraud detection systems to recognize online payments since some fraudsters start out using online channels before moving on to other *** a deep convolutional neural network model to identify anomalies from conventional competitive swarm optimization pat-terns with a focus on fraud situations that cannot be identified using historical data or supervised learning is the aim of this paper Artificial Bee Colony(ABC).Using real-time data and other datasets that are readily available,the ABC-Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)categorizes fraud behaviour and compares it to the current *** compared to the current approach,the findings demonstrate that the accuracy is high and the training error is minimal in ABC_*** this paper,we measure the Accuracy,F1 score,Mean square Error(MsE)and Mean Absolute Error(MAE).Our system achieves 97%accuracy,92%precision rate and F1 score 97%.Also we compare the simulation results with existing methods.

A programme of functional genomics research is underway at the University of Greenwich,UK,to develop and apply genomics technologies to characterise an economically-important but under-researched Bemisia tabaci（Hemiptera：Aleyrodidae）,the Asia 1 mtCOI phylogenetic group.A comparison of this putative species from India with other important *** populations and insect species may provide targets for the development of more effective whitefly control *** a first step,next-generation sequencing（NGs）has been used to survey the transcriptome of adult female whitefly,with high quality RNA preparations being used to generate cDNA libraries for NGs using the Roche 454 Titanium DNA sequencing *** assemblies constructed from the resultant sequences（301 094 reads）using the software program CLC Genomics Workbench generated 3 821 core *** of a selection of these contigs with related sequences from other *** genetic groups has revealed good alignment for some genes（e.g.,HsP90）but misassemblies in other datasets（e.g.,the vitellogenin gene family）,highlighting the need for manual curation as well as collaborative international efforts to obtain accurate assemblies from the existing next generation sequence ***,data emerging from the NGs has facilitated the development of accurate and reliable methods for analysing gene expression based on quantitative real-time RT-PCR,illustrating the power of this approach to enable rapid expression analyses in an organism for which a complete genome sequence is currently lacking.

This short review paper aims at assembling the present state of the art of the multiuses of metal oxides in heterogeneous catalysis, concerning liquid and gaseous phases of the reactant mixtures on solid catalysts. It includes the description of the main types of metal oxide catalysts, of their various preparation procedures and of the main reactions catalysed by them (acid-base type, selective and total oxidations, bi-functional catalysis, photocatalysis, biomass treatments, environmental catalysis and some of the numerous industrial applications). Challenges and prospectives are also discussed.

This paper presents basic tests to develop an airborne photogrammetric methodology that derives grain size characteristics of gravel bed rivers. The data acquisition was done using a light weight action cam and a hand-held digital single lens reflex camera. Image processing comprised the structure from motion technique and multiview-stereo algorithms to obtain digital elevation models of non-cohesive gravel beds. Laboratory results indicate that the method accuracy is about four to six times lower than laserscan data when based on action cam data. The accuracy of digital elevation models computed via photos taken by the reflex camera is almost of the same range as the laser data. Field experiments were done to test the performance of image based gravelometry against manual surface sampling. For this application the action cam was mounted to a low-cost quadrocopter, while the reflex camera was operated by *** indicate that this combination has a high potential to generate data from which characteristic grain size parameters can be estimated.

Argo floats revealing bimodality of large-scale mid-depth circulation in the North Atlantic

Analysis of Argo float trajectories at 1 000 m and temperature at 950 m in the North Atlantic between November 2003 and January 2005 demonstrates the existence of two different circulation modes with fast transition between them. Each mode has a pair of cyclonic - anticyclonic gyres. The difference is the location of the cyclonic gyre. The cyclonic gyre stretches from southeast to northwest in the first mode and from the southwest to the northeast in the second mode. The observed modes strongly affect the heat and salt transport in the North Atlantic. In particular, the second mode slows down the westward transport of the warm and saline water from the Mediterranean sea.
