This study investigated the relationships between human resource(HR)practices,employee psychological empowerment,employee innovative work behavior,and firm innovation capability in the context of the Information and Communication Technology(ICT)sector in *** the Social Exchange Theory(SET)as a guiding framework,this study explored how employee psychological empowerment and innovative work behavior mediated the influence of HR practices on a firm’s innovative *** on extensive data collected from ICT organizations in Jordan,our analysis had several key findings.A significant positive correlation between HR practices and psychological empowerment was *** design emerged as the most influential factor affecting psychological empowerment,whereas compensation had a weaker ***,we established that psychological empowerment significantly enhanced innovative work behavior,underscoring its role as a catalyst for innovative work behavior within the ***,our study supported the theory that psychological empowerment influenced a firms’innovation capabilities,emphasizing the pivotal role of employee empowerment in driving firm-level innovation in the Jordanian ICT *** findings provide insights for academic and practical audiences,clarifying how HR practices,employee psychological empowerment,and innovative work behavior collectively influenced firm innovation capability within the unique context of the Jordanian ICT sector.

As cloud computing usage grows,cloud data centers play an increasingly important *** maximize resource utilization,ensure service quality,and enhance system performance,it is crucial to allocate tasks and manage performance *** purpose of this study is to provide an extensive analysis of task allocation and performance management techniques employed in cloud data *** aim is to systematically categorize and organize previous research by identifying the cloud computing methodologies,categories,and gaps.A literature review was conducted,which included the analysis of 463 task allocations and 480 performance management *** review revealed three task allocation research topics and seven performance management *** allocation research areas are resource allocation,load-Balancing,and *** management includes monitoring and control,power and energy management,resource utilization optimization,quality of service management,fault management,virtual machine management,and network *** study proposes new techniques to enhance cloud computing work allocation and performance ***-comings in each approach can guide future *** research’s findings on cloud data center task allocation and performance management can assist academics,practitioners,and cloud service providers in optimizing their systems for dependability,cost-effectiveness,and *** methodologies can steer future research to fill gaps in the literature.

BACKgROUND Timely differentiation of biliary atresia(BA)from other infantile cholestatic diseases can impact patient ***,non-invasive staging of fibrosis after Kasai hepatoportoenterostomy has not been widely *** wave elastography is an ultrasound modality that detects changes in tissue *** authors propose that the utility of elastography in BA can be elucidated through meta-analysis of existing *** To assess the utility of elastography in:(1)BA diagnosis,and(2)post-Kasai fibrosis *** A literature search identified articles that evaluated elastography for BA diagnosis and for post-Kasai *** studies met criteria for meta-analysis:Eleven for diagnosis and nine for follow-up *** diagnostic odds ratio(DOR),sensitivity,and specificity of elastography were calculated through a random-effects model using Meta-DiSc *** Mean liver stiffness in BA infants at diagnosis was significantly higher than in non-BA,with overall DOR 24.61,sensitivity 83%,and specificity 79%.Post-Kasai,mean liver stiffness was significantly higher in BA patients with varices than in patients without,with DOR 16.36,sensitivity 85%,and specificity 76%.Elastography differentiated stage F4 fibrosis from F0-F3 with DOR of 70.03,sensitivity 96%,and specificity 89%.Elastography also differentiated F3-F4 fibrosis from F0-F2 with DOR of 24.68,sensitivity 85%,and specificity 81%.CONCLUSION Elastography has potential as a non-invasive modality for BA diagnosis and surveillance *** paper’s limitations include inter-study method heterogeneity and small sample ***,standardized,multi-center studies are recommended.

Burnishing is a profitable process of surface finishing due to its ability to be automated,which makes burnishing method more desirable than other finishing *** obtain high surface finish,non-stop operation is required for CNC machine and we can attain that by choosing a suitable trajectory of the finishing *** other words,burnishing paths should be multidirectional rather than monotonic,in order to cover uniformly the ***,the burnishing force is also a key parameter of the burnishing process because it determines the degree of plastic deformation,and that makes determining the optimum burnishing force an essential step of the burnishing process a ***,we consider the strategy of ball burnishing path and the burnishing force as variable parameters in this *** this paper,we propose a new strategy of burnishing tool path with trochoid cycles that achieves a multidirectional burnishing of the surface according to various *** into consideration the optimum burnishing force,to improve flat surface finish of AL6061-O samples by reducing the surface roughness parameter(Rz).Experiments carried out on 3-axis milling machine show that the proposed trochoidal path is more effective than the conventional one.

Modeling and Forecasting of SARS Cov-2 Cases in Sierra Leone

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS Cov-2) has been a global threat spreading in Sierra Leone, and many studies are being conducted using various Statistical models to predict the probable evolution of this pandemic. In this paper, we use the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model with the aim of forecasting the cumulative confirmed cases of SARS Cov-2 in Sierra Leone. The Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) was applied to the training data as a criterion method to select the best model. In addition, the statistical measure RMSE and MAPE were utilized for testing this data, and the model with the minimum RMSE and MAPE was selected for future forecasting. ARIMA (3, 2, 1) was confirmed to be the optimal model based on the lowest AIC value. This model was then applied to study the trend of SARS Cov-2 from 1st February 2022 to 30th February 2022. The result shows that incidence of SARS Cov-2 from 1st February 2022 to 30th February 2022, increasing growth steep in Sierra Leone (7718.629, 95% confidence limit of 6785.985 - 8651.274).

Ketamine and midazolam sedation for pediatric gastrointestinal endoscopy in the Arab world

AIM:To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of intravenous ketamine-midazolam sedation during pediatric endoscopy in the Arab ***:A retrospective cohort study of all pediatric endoscopic procedures performed between 2002-2008 at the shared endoscopy suite of King Abdullah University Hospital,Jordan University of Science & Technology,Jordan was *** children were > 1 year old and weighed > 10 kg with American Society of Anesthesiologists class 1 or *** was performed in terms of sedation-related complications(desaturation,respiratory distress,apnea,bradycar-dia,cardiac arrest,emergence reactions),adequacy of sedation,need for sedation reversal,or failure to complete the ***:A total of 301 patients(including 160 males) with a mean age of 9.26 years(range,1-18 years) were *** were premedicated with atropine;and 79.4%(239/301) had effective and uneventful *** 248(82.4%) of the 301 patients received a mean dose of 0.16 mg/kg(range,0.07-0.39) midazolam and 1.06 mg/kg(range,0.31-2.67) ketamine,respectively within the recommended dosage *** maximum midazolam dose was exceeded in 17.6% patients [34 female(F):19 male(M),P = 0.003] and ketamine in 2.7%(3 M:5 F).Maximum midazolam dose was more likely to be exceeded than ketamine(P versible by supplemental oxygen in all except 4 who continue to have desaturation despite supplemental ***(1.3%) patients had respiratory distress and 6(2%) were difficult to sedate and required a 3rd sedative;12(4%) required reversal and 7(2.3%) failed to complete the *** developed apnea,bradycardia,arrest,or emergence ***:Ketamine-midazolam sedation appears safe and effective for diagnostic pediatric gastrointestinal endoscopy in the Arab world for children aged > 1 year and weighing > 10 kg without co-morbidities.

Manifestations of COvID-19 infection in children with malignancy:A single-center experience in Jordan

BACKgROUND The coronavirus disease 2019(COvID-19)has been the cause of a global health crisis since the end of *** countries are following the guidelines and recommendations released by the World Health Organization to decrease the spread of the *** account for only 3%-5%of COvID-19 *** data are available regarding the clinical course,disease severity,and mode of treatment in children with malignancy and *** To evaluate the treatment plan and outcome of children with malignancy who contracted *** A retrospective study of the medical files of patients with malignancy who contracted COvID-19 between July 2020 and June 2021 was *** following data were reviewed for all patients:primary disease,laboratory data,admission ward,clinical status upon admission,disease course,treatment plan,and *** patients were those with malignancy who tested positive for COvID-19 by reverse transcription polymerase chain *** A total of 40 patients who had malignancy contracted COvID-19 from July 1,2020 to June 1,*** primary diseases were as follows:34 patients(85%)had hematological malignancies(30 had acute lymphoblastic leukemia,2 had acute myeloblastic leukemia,and 2 had Hodgkin lymphoma),whereas 6 patients(15%)had solid tumors(2 had neuroblastoma,2 had rhabdomyosarcoma,and 2 had central nervous system tumors).Twelve patients(30%)did not need hospitalization and underwent home isolation only,whereas twenty-eight patients(70%)required hospitalization(26 patients were admitted in the COvID-19 ward and 2 were admitted in the pediatric intensive care unit).CONCLUSION COvID-19 with malignancy in the pediatric age group has a benign course and does not increase the risk of having severe infection compared to other children.
