A rapid, sensitive and selective pseudo MRM（p MRM）-based method for the determination of solutol HS15（SHS15） in rat plasma was developed using liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry（Lc–MS/MS）. The most abundant ions corresponding to SHS15 free polyethyleneglycol（PEG）oligomers at m/z 481, 525, 569, 613, 657, 701, 745, 789, 833, 877, 921 and 965 were selected for p MRM in electrospray mode of ionization. Purity of the lipophilic and hydrophilic components of SHS15 was estimated using evaporative light scattering detector（ELSD）. Plasma concentrations of SHS15 were measured after oral administration at 2.50 g/kg dose and intravenous administration at 1.00 g/kg dose in male Sprague Dawley rats. SHS15 has poor oral bioavailability of 13.74% in rats. Differences in pharmacokinetics of oligomers were studied. A novel proposal was conveyed to the scientific community,where formulation excipient could be analyzed as a qualifier in the analysis of new chemical entities（NcEs） to address the spiky plasma concentration profiles.

In the present study, we selected four distinct classes of light-regulated promoters. The light-regulated promoters can be distinctly grouped into either TATA-box-containing or TATA-less （initiator-containing） promoters. Further, using either native promoters or their swapped versions of core promoter elements, we established that TATA-box and Inr （Initiator） elements have distinct mechanisms which are involved in light-mediated regulation, and these elements are not swappable. We identified that mutations in either functional TATA-box or Inr elements lead to the formation of nucleosomal structure. The nucleotide diversity in either the TATA-box or Inr element in Arabidopsis ecotypes proposes that the nucleotide variation in core promoters can alter the gene expression. We show that motif overrepresentation in light-activated promoters encompasses different specific regulatory motifs present downstream of TSS （transcription start site）, and this might serve as a key factor in regulating light promoters which are parallel with these elements. Finally, we conclude that the TATA-box or Inr element does not act in isolation, but our results clearly suggests the probable involvement of other distinct core promoter elements in concurrence with the TATA-box or Inr element to impart selectivity to light-mediated transcription.

Influence of cobalt on performance of cu-ceO2 catalysts for preferential oxidation of cO

copper and cobalt oxides supported on ceO2 were investigated for preferential oxidation of carbon monoxide(cO-PROX)in the presence of excess hydrogen and cO2.(cuo)1-x(co3 O4)x/3-(ceO2)2.5(x=0,0.25,0.50,0.75,0.85 and 1)catalysts were prepared by coprecipitation *** mixed oxide catalysts were characterized by several physicochemical techniques,such as BET surface area(SBET),X-ray diffraction(XRD),high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM),temperature programmed reduction(TPR)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).XRD studies show the peaks related to cuO and co3 O4 phases in copper and cobalt containing ceO2 *** average particle size of the ceO2 crystallites is in the range of 8-10 nm as evaluated from HRTEM *** studies demonstrate that cu,co and ce in(cuO)1-x(co3O4)x/3-(ceO2)2.5 catalysts are presented in+2 and+1,+3 and+2 and+4 and+3 oxidation states,*** catalyst with x=0.75 shows better activity and selectivity towards *** the catalyst with only copper(cuO-ceO2,x=0)shows good activity but reverse water gas shift(RWGS)reaction is noticed at high *** the other hand,RWGS reaction is suppressed on the cobalt containing cuO-ceO2 *** on ceO2 with x=1 shows hardly any activity for PRoX reaction at low *** methanation activity is observed on cuO-ceO2 or co3O4-ceO2 *** contrast,combination of copper and cobalt on ceO2 shows methanation of cO where enhanced activity is observed with increasing in cobalt content.

Thermal decomposition and kinetics of plastic bonded explosives based on mixture of HMX and TATB with polymer matrices

This work describes thermal decomposition behaviour of plastic bonded explosives(PBXs) based on mixture of 1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocane(HMX) and 2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-trinitrobenzene(TATB)with viton A as polymer binder. Thermal decomposition of PBXs was undertaken by applying simultaneous thermal analysis(STA) and differential scanning calorimetry(DSc) to investigate influence of the HMX amount on thermal behavior and its kinetics. Thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) indicated that the thermal decomposition of PBXs based on mixture of HMX and TATB was occurred in a three-steps. The first step was mainly due to decomposition of HMX. The second step was ascribed due to decomposition of TATB, while the third step was occurred due to decomposition of the polymer matrices. The thermal decomposition % was increased with increasing HMX amount. The kinetics related to thermal decomposition were investigated under non-isothermal for a single heating rate measurement. The variation in the activation energy of PBXs based on mixture of HMX and TATB was observed with varying the HMX amount. The kinetics from the results of TGA data at various heating rates under non-isothermal conditions were also calculated by Flynn—Wall—Ozawa(FWO) and Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose(KAS)methods. The activation energies calculated by employing FWO method were very close to those obtained by KAS method. The mean activation energy calculated by FWO and KAS methods was also a good agreement with the activation energy obtained from single heating rate measurement in the first step decomposition.

A model system,which is based on iron(Fe)doped gallium oxide(Ga_(2)O_(3))(Ga_(1.9)Fe_(0.1)O_(3)),has been considered to elucidate the combined effect of transition-metal ion doping and processing temperature on the chemistry,local structure and chemical bonding,and electrical transport properties of a wide band gap oxide(Ga_(2)O_(3)).The Ga_(1.9)Fe_(0.1)O_(3) compounds were synthesized using standard high-temperature solid state reaction *** effect of processing conditions in terms of different calcination and sintering environments on the structural and electrical properties of Ga_(1.9)Fe_(0.1)O_(3) compounds is studied in *** characterization by Raman spectroscopy revealed that Ga_(1.9)Fe_(0.1)O_(3) compounds exhibit monoclinic crystal symmetry,which is quite similar to the intrinsic parental crystal structure,though Fedoping induces lattice *** temperature(T_(sint))which was varied in the range of 900-1200℃,has significant impact on the structure,chemical bonding,and electrical properties of Ga_(1.9)Fe_(0.1)O_(3) *** spectroscopic measurements indicate the proper densification of the Ga_(1.9)Fe_(0.1)O_(3) compounds achieved through complete Fe diffusion into the parent Ga_(2)O_(3) lattice which is evident at the highest sintering *** X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy validates the chemical states of the constituent elements in Ga_(1.9)Fe_(0.1)O_(3) *** electrical properties of Ga_(1.9)Fe_(0.1)O_(3) fully controlled by T_(sint),which governed the grain size and microstructural *** temperature and frequency dependent electrical measurements demonstrated the salient features of the Fe doped Ga_(2)O_(3) *** activation energy determined from Arrhenius equation is 0.5 e *** results demonstrate that control over structure,morphology,chemistry and electrical properties of the Ga_(1.9)Fe_(0.1)O_(3) compounds can be achieved by optimizing T_(sint).

The hydrogenolysis of carbon–oxygen bonds is an important model reaction in upgrading biomass‐derived furanic compounds to transportation *** of these model reactions,namelyconversion of5‐hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF)to the gasoline additive2,5‐dimethylfuran(DMF),isespecially *** this study,bimetallic cu‐co catalysts supported on ceO2,ZrO2,and Al2O3were used for the selective hydrogenolysis of HMF to *** structures of the fresh and usedcatalysts were studied using X‐ray diffraction,the Brunauer‐Emmett‐Teller method,transmissionelectron microscopy,temperature‐programmed reduction by H2,temperature‐programmed desorptionof NH3,and cHNS *** structures were correlated with the catalytic ***‐co/ceO2catalyst produced mainly2,5‐bis(hydroxymethyl)furan via reduction of c=O bonds onlarge cu *** cu‐co/Al2O3catalyst gave the best selectivity for DMF,as a result of a combinationof highly dispersed cu,mixed copper–cobalt oxides,and suitable weak acidic ***‐co/ZrO2had low selectivity for DMF and produced a combination of variousover‐hydrogenolysis products,including2,5‐dimethyltetrahydrofuran and5,5‐oxybis(methylene)‐bis(2‐methylfuran),because of the presence of strong acidic *** reaction pathways and effectsof various operating parameters,namely temperature,H2pressure,and time,were studied to enableoptimization of the selective conversion of HMF to DMF over the cu‐co/Al2O3catalyst.

We present a case study for the doubly charged Higgs boson H^(±±)pair production ine^(+)+e^(-)and pp colliders with their subsequent decays to four charged *** consider the Higgs Triplet Model(HTM),which is not restricted by the custodial symmetry,and the Minimal Left-Right Symmetric Model(MLRSM).These models include scalar triplets with different complexities of scalar potentials and,because of experimental restrictions,completely different scales of non-standard triplet v.c.um expectation *** both models,a doubly charged Higgs bosonH^(±±)can acquire a mass of hundreds of gigaelectronvolts,which can be probed at the HL-LHc,futuree^(+)+e^(-),and hadron *** take into account a comprehensive set of constraints on the parameters of both models coming from neutrino oscillations,LHc,e^(+)+e^(-),and low-energy lepton flavor violating data and assume the same mass ofH^(±±).Our finding is that theH^(±±)pair production in lepton and hadron colliders is comparable in both models,though more pronounced in the *** show that the decay branching ratios can be different within both models,leading to distinguishable four-lepton signals,and that the strongest are 4μevents yielded by ***,we find that the MLRSM signals are one order of magnitude larger those in *** example,the pp→to 4μMLRSM signal for 1 TevH^(±±)mass results in a clearly detectable significance of S■11for the HL-LHc and S≥290 for the ***,we provide quantitative predictions for the dilepton invariant mass distributions and lepton separations,which help to identify non-standard signals.

The size effects of the critical behaviors for the systems of interacting spins are discussed extensively *** this paper,the finite-size dependence of the critical temperature and susceptibility of the ferroelectric thinfilm are investigated numerically based on the four-state Potts model with the nearest-neighbor interactions between thedipole *** four orientations of the domains exist in the ferroelectric film and the movement of the domainwalls determines the polarization switching process besides the boundary conditions of the *** critical exponentsare obtained and our investigations show that the boundary conditions play the important roles for the ferroelectricproperties of the thin films and the critical behavior of the thin films strongly depends on the feature of the surface.

Implications of multipurpose tree leaf application on wheat productivity in dry tropics

Leaves of multipurpose tree species （those providing more than one function or product of human use） can serve as sources of fer- tilizer for nutrient supply, especially nitrogen （N）. In this study chopped leaves of tropical tree species （5 N-fixing species, 5 non-N-fixing species and combinations of 5 N-fixing with a non-N-fixing species） were in- corporated in soil to evaluate its effects on wheat biological productivity （including grain yield, GyIELD） under dryland conditions. High quality leaves of N-fixing tree species （e.g. Dalbergia sissoo, cassia fistula and Prosopis cineraria） had lower carbon/nitrogen （c/N）, lignin/nitrogen （L^o/N）, polyphenol/nitrogen （PPt/N） and lignin＋polyphenol /nitrogen （L~＋PpL/N） ratios than low quality leaves of non-N-fixing species. com- bination treatments had intermediate values of different parameters, Application of high quality leaves caused greater increases in wheat productivity and yield than other species.

Assessing the bioremediation potential of arsenic tolerant bacterial strains in rice rhizosphere interface

The arsenic tolerant bacterial strains Staphylococcus arlettae （NBRIEAG-6）, Staphylococcus sp. （NBRIEAG-8） and Brevibadllus sp. （NBRIEAG-9） were tested for their roles in enhancing plant growth and induction of stress-related enzymes in rice （Oryza sativa L. cv. NDR-3Bg） plants at two different concentrations, 30 and IS mg/kg of As（v） and As（Ⅲ）, respectively. An experiment was conducted to test the effect of these strains on plant growth promotion and arsenic uptake. We found 30%-40% reduction in total As uptake in bacteria-inoculated plants, with increased plant growth parameters compared to non-inoculated plants. Moreover, the bacteria-inoculated plants showed reduced activity of total glutathione （GSH） and glutathione reductase （GR） compared to their respective controls, which suggests the bacteria-mediated reduction of oxidative stress in plants. Thus, these strains were found to be beneficial in terms of the biochemical and physiological status of the plants under arsenic stress conditions. Furthermore, one-way ANOvA and principal component analysis （PcA） on enzymatic and non-enzymatic assays also revealed clear variations. The results support the distinction between control and treatments in both shoots and roots. Therefore, this study demonstrates the potential of rhizobacteria in alleviating arsenic stress in rice plants.
