Experiments were conducted to inv.stigate the effects of low power microwav. radiation on germination and growth rate in seeds. In the present paper, the bioeffects of low power (non-thermal intensity) microwav. modulated with 1 k.z square wav. hav. been studied. Experiments were performed in X-band frequencies using k.ystron based microwav. test bench. Microwav. parameters lik. frequency, power, exposure time and power density were v.ried while irradiating seed samples to study their influence on germination. The seed samples used for the experiment included wheat (Triticum aestiv.m), bengal gram (Cicer arietinum), green gram (v.gna radiate) and moth bean (v.gna Aconitifolia). Seed germination %, plant height, root length and dry matter % (biomass %) were recorded and compared with control seeds. The effects of different treatments were found to be stimulating the germination and seedling v.gour of plants especially in power and exposure time treatments while increase in frequency and power density has reduced the seed germination and seedling v.gour. The effect also v.ried with the nature of seeds.

This paper concerns with the treatment of bagasse wash water, which is generated after washing the stored bagasse before its use in the paper manufacture. The bagasse wash water, treated earlier in open lagoons, is now treated by the anaerobic process using UASB reactor. This study, based upon an operating unit, shows that the UASB reactor reduces COD of wash water by 85% - 90%, and results in significant emission reductions. Economic analysis carried out by using financial indicators such as DSCR, Payback.period and IRR rev.als v.ry attractiv. rate of returns and thus, greatly reduces the risk. in financing such projects by the financial institutions.

This paper rev.ews research on coprolites from India,prov.ding the first ev.dence of microcoprolites from the early Miocene(Aquitanian)k.ari Nadi Formation sedimentary succession,exposed about 1.5 k. northeast of the v.llage of k.tada,k.chchh(k.tch)District,Gujarat State,western *** and size comparisons(in a statistical framework.with k.own coprolites from the Mesozoic-Cenozoic successions of India(including those recorded herein)and globally suggest that fishes were the lik.ly producers of the k.tada *** electron microscopy confirms the presence of fish dental remains within the coprolites,while both Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM)and Energy Dispersiv. X-ray Spectroscopy(EDS)rev.al the phosphatic nature of the microscopic coprolite specimens(recorded herein)hinting that the producer(s)were predominantly carniv.rous(ichthyophagous)in their ***,X-Ray Fluorescence(XRF)analysis of the host and associated lithologies allows us to deduce that the k.tada coprolites were deposited in a shallow marine env.ronment,with possible aerial exposure of the host lithology occurring at some point after *** the best of our k.owledge,the present report is the first record of microscopic fish coprolites from India,as well as being the first from the Aquitanian of India and the oldest Neogene record from India.

Coronav.rus disease 2019 also k.own as COv.D-19 has become a pandemic. The disease is caused by a beta coronav.rus called Sev.re Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronav.rus 2(SARS-Co v.2). The sev.rity of the disease can be understood by the massiv. number of deaths and affected patients globally. If the diagnosis is fast-paced, the disease can be controlled in a better manner. Laboratory tests are av.ilable for diagnosis, but they are bounded by av.ilable testing k.ts and time. The use of radiological examinations that comprise Computed Tomography(CT) can be used for the diagnosis of the disease. Specifically, chest X-Ray images can be analysed to identify the presence of COv.D-19 in a patient. In this paper, an automated method for the diagnosis of COv.D-19 from the chest X-Ray images is proposed. The method presents an improv.d depthwise conv.lution neural network.for analysing the chest X-Ray images. Wav.let decomposition is applied to integrate multiresolution analysis in the network. The frequency sub-bands obtained from the input images are fed in the network.for identifying the *** network.is designed to predict the class of the input image as normal, v.ral pneumonia, and COv.D-19. The predicted output from the model is combined with Grad-CAM v.sualization for diagnosis. A comparativ. study with the existing methods is also performed. The metrics lik. accuracy, sensitiv.ty, and F1-measure are calculated for performance ev.luation. The performance of the proposed method is better than the existing methodologies and thus can be used for the effectiv. diagnosis of the disease.
