Sensitivity of Different Cytotoxic Responses of Vero Cells Exposed to Organic Chemical Pollutants and their Reliability in the Bio-toxicity Test of Trace Chemical Pollutants

Objective To find a sensitive cytotoxic response to reflect the bio-toxicity of trace organic pollutants, the sensitivity and reliability of morphological change and proliferation inhibition of Vero cells exposed to 2, 4, 6-trichlorophenol （TCP） and the leachate from products related to drinking water （PRDW） were compared, and the mechanism of the morphological change in Vero cells exposed to chemical pollutants was studied. Methods Vero cells were treated by different concentration of TCP and the leachate from PRDW. Methylthiazol-2-yl-2, 5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide （MTT） assay was carried out for proliferation inhibition. Bioluminescence method was carried out as another method to test the toxicity of TCP. Flow Cytometry assay was used to test cell Apoptosis and damage of cell-membrane. Results 0.25 mg/L TCP had an effect on cell morphology, and the proportion of morphologically changed cells increased with increasing TCP concentration. At low TCP concentrations, inhibition of cell proliferation did not seem to correlate to TCP concentration, and was negative when TCP concentration was 〈1.0 mg/L. After exposure to leachate from PRDW extracted at different temperatures, the percentage of morphologically changed cells increased with extracting temperature, but the inhibition of cell proliferation failed to reflect the correlation between extracting temperature and proliferation inhibition of Vero cells. Although the Sensitivity of bioluminescence method seems to be similar to morphological change in Veto cells, the bacterial in this method is not homologous enough with human body cells to reflect the toxicity to human body. These imply cell morphological change is a more sensitive and reliable method to reflect bio-toxicity of organic pollutants than proliferation inhibition. 旱-旱和水-旱轮作是我国长江流域冬油菜的典型种植模式,氮养分缺乏是油菜产量主要限制因子。利用2016—2023年在湖北省武汉市布置的裂区同田对比定位试验,探究氮肥用量对不同轮作模式下油菜产量和氮素吸收利用的影响差异,为科学施氮提供依据。试验设计的主处理为旱地油菜(玉米-油菜)和水田油菜(水稻-油菜)2种轮作模式,副处理为4个氮肥用量(0 kg N hm^(-2)、75 kg N hm^(-2)、150 kg N hm^(-2)、225 kg N hm^(-2)),分析了油菜产量、产量构成因子和氮素积累量等相关指标。7年试验结果表明,旱地和水田油菜的产量和氮素吸收在不同氮肥投入下的响应存在差异。当不施氮或低施氮(75 kg N hm^(-2))时,水田油菜产量显著高于旱地油菜,分别高出53.9%和20.8%,地上部氮素积累量分别高出57.8%和18.3%;当施氮量为150 kg N hm^(-2)时,2种轮作无显著差异;在高施氮(225 kg N hm^(-2))时,旱地油菜产量和氮素积累量较水田分别增加11.2%和16.0%。旱地油菜的氮肥农学利用效率、贡献率和表观利用率较水田油菜分别平均增加16.5%、20.5%和22.0%,氮肥对旱地油菜的增产潜力更大,但水田油菜季土壤基础氮素供应量较旱地高61.5%,对氮肥的依赖性更小。综上,增加氮肥用量显著提高了油菜产量和氮素积累,水田油菜在低氮投入下表现出较高的稳产性,而旱地油菜在较高氮投入下丰产潜力更高。因此,在实际生产中应根据不同轮作模式调整油菜施氮量,旱地油菜可以适当增加氮肥用量以获得高产,水田油菜要充分利用土壤供氮能力适当控制氮肥用量,以达到油菜高产高效生产和氮肥高效利用的目的。

We operated a p-type point contact high purity germanium(PPCGe)detector(CDEX-1B,1.008 kg)in the China Jinping Underground Laboratory(CJPL)for 500.3 days to search for neutrinoless double beta(0νββ)decay of^(76)Ge.A total of 504.3 kg⋅day effective exposure data was *** anti-coincidence and the multi/single-site event(MSE/SSE)discrimination methods were used to suppress the background in the energy region of interest(ROI,1989–2089 keV for this work)with a factor of 23.A background level of 0.33 counts/(keV⋅kg⋅yr)was *** lower limit on the half life of^(76)Ge 0νββdecay was constrained as T_(1/2)^(0ν)>1.0×10^(23)yr(90%C.L.),corresponding to the upper limits on the effective Majorana neutrino mass:<3.2–7.5 eV.

Background Moyamoya disease (MMD) is a rare and complex cerebrovascular disorder characterized by the progressive narrowing of the internal carotid arteries and the formation of compensatory collateral vessels. The etiology of MMD remains enigmatic, making diagnosis and management challenging. The MOYAOMICS project was initiated to investigate the molecular underpinnings of MMD and explore potential diagnostic and therapeutic *** The MOYAOMICS project employs a multidisciplinary approach, integrating various omics technologies, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, to comprehensively examine the molecular signatures associated with MMD pathogenesis. Additionally, we will investigate the potential influence of gut microbiota and brain-gut peptides on MMD development, assessing their suitability as targets for therapeutic strategies and dietary interventions. Radiomics, a specialized field in medical imaging, is utilized to analyze neuroimaging data for early detection and characterization of MMD-related brain changes. Deep learning algorithms are employed to differentiate MMD from other conditions, automating the diagnostic process. We also employ single-cellomics and mass cytometry to precisely study cellular heterogeneity in peripheral blood samples from MMD *** The MOYAOMICS project represents a significant step toward comprehending MMD’s molecular underpinnings. This multidisciplinary approach has the potential to revolutionize early diagnosis, patient stratification, and the development of targeted therapies for MMD. The identification of blood-based biomarkers and the integration of multiple omics data are critical for improving the clinical management of MMD and enhancing patient outcomes for this complex disease.

Objective:This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the epidemiology of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions related to COVID-19 in ***:This study was conducted by 45 tertiary Grade-A hospitals in *** and offline questionnaire data were obtained from patients infected with COVID-19 between December 28,2022,and February 21,*** collected information included basic demographics,medical history,smoking and drinking history,vaccination history,changes in olfactory and gustatory functions before and after infection,and other postinfection symptoms,as well as the duration and improvement status of olfactory and gustatory ***:Complete questionnaires were obtained from 35,566 *** overall incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunction was 67.75%.Being female or being a cigarette smoker increased the likelihood of developing olfactory and taste *** received four doses of the vaccine or having good oral health or being a alcohol drinker decreased the risk of such *** infection,the average olfactory and taste VAS scores were 8.41 and 8.51,respectively;after infection,they decreased to 3.69 and 4.29 and recovered to 5.83 and 6.55 by the time of the *** median duration of dysosmia and dysgeusia was 15 and 12 days,respectively,with 0.5%of patients having symptoms lasting for more than 28 *** overall self-reported improvement rate was 59.16%.Recovery was higher in males,never smokers,those who received two or three vaccine doses,and those that had never experienced dental health issues,or chronic accompanying ***:The incidence of dysosmia and dysgeusia following infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus is high in *** and prognosis are influenced by several factors,including sex,SARS-CoV-2 vaccination,history of head-facial trauma,nasal and oral health status,smoking and drinking history,and the persistence of accompanying symptoms.

The pursuit of high energy density while achieving long cycle life remains a challenge in developing transition metal(TM)oxide cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs).Here,we present a concept of precisely manipulating structural evolution via local coordination chemistry regulation to design high-performance composite cathode *** controllable structural evolution process is realized by tuning magnesium content in Na0.6Mn1-xMgxO2,which is elucidated by a combination of experimental analysis and theoretical *** substitution of Mg into Mn sites not only induces a unique structural evolu-tion from layered–tunnel structure to layered structure but also mitigates the Jahn–Teller distortion of Mn3+.Meanwhile,benefiting from the strong ionic inter-action between Mg2+and O2-,local environments around O2-coordinated with electrochemically inactive Mg2+are anchored in the TM layer,providing a pinning effect to stabilize crystal structure and smooth electrochemical *** layered–tunnel Na0.6Mn0.95Mg0.05O2 cathode material delivers 188.9 mAh g-1 of specific capacity,equivalent to 508.0 Wh kg-1 of energy density at 0.5C,and exhibits 71.3%of capacity retention after 1000 cycles at 5C as well as excellent compatibility with hard carbon *** work may provide new insights of manipulating structural evolution in composite cathode materials via local coordi-nation chemistry regulation and inspire more novel design of high-performance SIB cathode materials.
