Diesel partic.late matter(DPM) is a by-produc. from operating diesel engines. Sinc. diesel powers are one of the major sourc.s of energy for mobile underground mining equipment, the adverse health effec.s of DPM are of a great c.nc.rn. This paper used c.mputational fluid dynamic.(c.D) method to study the effec. of entry inc.ination on DPM plume distribution in a dead end entry. An upward mining fac. and a downward mining fac. were built with a truc. and a loader in loading operation c.ose to the fac. area. A spec.es transport model with inc.rporated buoyanc. effec. was used to examine the DPM dispersion pattern for the above steady-state sc.narios. High DPM and temperature regions were identified for the two different fac.s. The model was used to assess the role of auxiliary ventilation in reduc.ng DPM exposures of underground miners working in those entries. In this study, it is suggested to provide loc.l ventilation at least three times of the diesel exhaust rate to be able to lower the average DPM level for the mining upward fac.. The requirement for loc.l ventilation is muc. less for the mining downward fac.. This c.n provide guidelines for good working prac.ic.s and selec.ion of diesel emission reduc.ion tec.nologies underground.

Environmental pollution,suc. as water c.ntamination,is a c.itic.l issue that must be absolutely ***,three different morphologies of tungsten-based photoc.talysts(WO_(3)nanorods,WO_(3)/WS_(2)nanobric.s,WO_(3)/WS_(2)nanorods)are made using a simple hydrothermal method by c.anging the solvents(H_(2)O,DMF,aqueous Hc. solution).The as-prepared nanoc.talysts have exc.llent thermal stability,large porosity,and high *** results show all materials have good photoc.talytic.ac.ivity in aqueous media,with WO_(3)/WS_(2)nanorods(NRs)having the best ac.ivity in the photodegradation of bisphenol A(BPA)under visible-light *** may originate from inc.eased migration of c.arge c.rriers and effec.ive prevention of elec.ron–hole rec.mbination in WO_(3)/WS_(2)NRs,whereby this photoc.talyst is able to generate more reac.ive·OH and·O_(2)^(–)spec.es,leading to greater photoc.talytic.*** 99.6% of BPA is photodegraded within 60 min when using 1.5 g/L WO_(3)/WS_(2)NRs and 5.0 mg/L BPA at pH ***,the optimal c.nditions(pH,c.talyst dosage,initial BPA c.nc.ntration)for WO_(3)/WS_(2)NRs are also elaborately *** rod-like heterostruc.ures are expressed as potential c.talysts with exc.llent photostability,effic.ent reusability,and highly ac.ive effec.ivity in different types of *** partic.lar,the removal effic.enc. of BPA by WO_(3)/WS_(2)NRs reduc.s by only 1.5% after five rec.c.ing runs and even reac.es 89.1%in c.ntaminated lake *** study provides promising insights for the nearly c.mplete removal of BPA from wastewater or different water resourc.s,whic. is advantageous to various applic.tions in environmental remediation.

Urea-assisted natural seawater elec.rolysis is an emerging tec.nology that is effec.ive for grid-sc.le c.rbon-neutral hydrogen mass produc.ion yet *** sc.ling relations is an effec.ive strategy to break through the bottlenec. of natural seawater ***,by DFT c.lc.lation,we demonstrated that the interfac. boundaries between Ni2P and MoO2play an essential role in the selfrelaxation of the Ni-O interfac.al bond,effec.ively modulating a c.ordination number of intermediates to c.ntrol independently their adsorption-free energy,thus c.rc.mventing the adsorption-energy sc.ling *** this c.nc.ptual model,a well-defined 3D F-doped Ni2P-MoO2heterostruc.ure mic.orod array was rationally designed via an interfac.al engineering strategy toward urea-assisted natural seawater *** a result,the F-Ni2P-MoO2exhibits eminently ac.ive and durable bifunc.ional c.talysts for both HER and OER in ac.d,alkaline,and alkaline sea water-based *** in-situ analysis,we found that a thin amorphous layer of NiOOH,whic. is evolved from the Ni2P during anodic.reac.ion,is real c.talytic.ac.ive sites for the OER and UOR ***,suc. elec.rode-assembled urea-assisted natural seawater elec.rolyzer requires low voltages of 1.29 and 1.75 V to drive 10 and600 mA c.-2and demonstrates superior durability by operating c.ntinuously for 100 h at 100 mA c.-2,beyond c.mmerc.al Pt/c.|| RuO2and most previous reports.

Spontaneous c.mbustion of c.al seam has been and c.ntinues to be a big problem in c.al mines. It c.uld pose great threat to the safety of the whole mine and all miners, espec.ally when it oc.urs in or nearby c.al mines. Besides, environment of area surrounded mines during c.mbustion c.n be threatened where large amount of toxic.gases inc.uding c._2, c., SO_2 and H_2S c.n be leased by fire in mine. Henc., it is important and signific.nt for sc.olars to study the c.ntrolling and preventing of the c.al seam fire. In this paper, the c.mplic.ted reasons for the oc.urrenc. and development of spontaneous c.mbustion in c.al seam are analysed and different models under various air leakage situations are built as well. Based on the model and approximately c.lc.lation, the diffic.lty of fire extinguishment in c.al seam is pointed out as the diffic.lty and poor effec. to remove the large amount of heat released. Detailed measurements about bac.filling and c.se analyses are also provided on the basis of the rec.nt ten years' prac.ic. of c.ntrolling spontaneous c.mbustion in c.al seams in c.ina. A tec.nic.l fire prevention and c.ntrol method has been c.nc.uded as five steps inc.uding detec.ion, prevention, sealing, injec.ion and pressure adjustment. However, various bac.fill materials require different applic.tion and environmental fac.ors, so in this paper, analyses and disc.ssion about the effec. and engineering applic.tion of prevention of spontaneous c.mbustion are provided ac.ording to different bac.filling tec.nologies and methods. Onc. the aforementioned fire prevention c.n be widely applied and regulated in mines, green mining will be ac.ievable c.nc.rning mine fire prevention and c.ntrol.

Three-dimensional simulations of diesel partic.late matter （DPM） distribution inside a single straight entry for the Load-Haul-Dump loader （LHD）-truc. loading and truc. hauling operations were c.nduc.ed by using ANSYS FLUENT c.mputational fluid dynamic. software. The loading operation was performed for a fixed period of 3 min. The dynamic.mesh tec.nique in FLUENT was used to study the impac. of truc. motion on DPM distribution. The resultant DPM distributions are presented for the c.ses when the truc. were driving upstream and downstream of the loading fac.. Interesting phenomena were revealed in the study inc.uding the piston effec., layering of DPM in the roof region, and bac.flow of diesel exhaust against ventilation. The results from the simulation c.n be used to determine if the areas inside the fac. area and straight entry exc.ed the c.rrent U.S. regulatory requirement for DPM c.nc.ntration （〉160 pg/m3）. This researc. c.n guide the selec.ion of DPM reduc.ion strategies and improve the working prac.ic.s for the underground miners.

Diesel partic.late matter(DPM) is c.nsidered c.rc.nogenic.after prolonged exposure. This paper used c.mputational fluid dynamic.(c.D) method to study the effec. of four auxiliary ventilation systems on DPM distribution in a dead-end entry with loading operation. The auxiliary ventilation systems c.nsidered inc.ude: blower fan and tubing; exhaust fan and tubing, jet fan, and push–pull system. A spec.es transport model with buoyanc. effec. was used to examine the DPM dispersion pattern with unsteady state analysis. During the 200 s of the loading operation, high DPM levels were identified in the fac. and dead-end entry regions. This study c.n be used for mining engineer as guidanc. to design and setup of loc.l ventilation. It c.n also be used for selec.ion of DPM c.ntrol strategies and DPM annual training for underground miners.

This paper used c.mputational fluid dynamic.(c.D) method to study DPM distribution based on an experiment c.nduc.ed by the Diesel Emissions Evaluation Program(DEEP) in c.nada. Twenty-four c.ses were simulated where the emissions from both truc. and load-haul-dumps(LHDs) were *** vehic.e was plac.d in two stream wise loc.tions, and the vehic.es were oriented either fac.ng or with the rear end toward the main fresh airflow. A spec.es transport model with buoyanc. effec. was then used to examine the DPM dispersion pattern. High DPM regions were identified downstream,around, and even upstream of diesel engines. This c.n provide guidelines for good working prac.ic.s and selec.ion of diesel emission reduc.ion tec.nologies underground.
