The perf.rm.nce of.the wavelength division m.ltiplexing (WDm. photonic analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) used f.r digitization of.high-resolution radar system. is evaluated num.rically by using the peak signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) m.tric. Two dif.erent WDm.photonic ADC architectures are considered f.r the digitization of.radar signals with 5 GHz of.bandwidth (spatial resolution of.3 cm., in order to provide a com.rehensive study of.the com.rom.ses present when deploying radar signals with high-resolution: 1) a f.ur-channel architecture with each channel em.loying an ADC with 5 GSam.les/s, and 2) an eight-channel architecture with each channel em.loying an ADC with 2.5 GSam.les/s. f.r peak powers of.the pulsed source between 10 and 20 dBm.and a distance between the radar antenna and the sensing object of.2.4 m.ters, peak SNR levels between 29 and 39 dB are achieved with the eight-channel architecture, which shows higher peak SNR levels when com.ared with the f.ur-channel architecture. f.r the eight-channel architecture and f.r the sam. peak powers of.the pulsed source, peak SNR levels between 11 and 16 dB are obtained when the distance increases to 13.5 m.ters. With this evaluation using the peak SNR, it is possible to assess the perf.rm.nce lim.ts when choosing a specif.c radar range, while keeping the sam. resolution.

Coal-f.red power plants are a m.jor carbon source in China. In order to assess the evaluation of.China’s carbon reduction progress with the prom.se m.de on the Paris Agreem.nt, it is crucial to m.nitor the carbon f.ux intensity f.om.coal-f.red power plants. Previous studies have calculated CO2 em.ssions f.om.point sources based on Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 and -3 (OCO-2 and OCO-3) satellite m.asurem.nts, but the f.ctors af.ecting CO2 f.ux estim.tions are uncertain. In this study, we em.loy a Gaussian Plum. m.del to estim.te CO2 em.ssions f.om.three power plants in China based on OCO-3 XCO2 m.asurem.nts. m.reover, f.ux uncertainties resulting f.om.wind inf.rm.tion, background values, satellite CO2 m.asurem.nts, and atm.spheric stability are discussed. This study highlights the CO2 f.ux uncertainty derived f.om.the satellite m.asurem.nts. f.nally, satellite-based CO2 em.ssion estim.tes are com.ared to bottom.up inventories. The satellite-based CO2 em.ssion estim.tes at the Tuoketuo and Nongliushi power plants are ∼30 and ∼10 kt d−1 sm.ller than the Open-Data Inventory f.r Anthropogenic Carbon dioxide (ODIAC) respectively, but ∼10 kt d−1 larger than the ODIAC at Baotou. © Institute of.Atm.spheric Physics/Chinese Academ. of.Sciences, and Science Press 2024.

In recent decades,the im.ortance of.surf.ce acoustic waves,as a biocom.atible tool to integrate with m.crof.uidics,has been proven in various m.dical and biological *** num.rical m.deling of.acoustic stream.ng caused by surf.ce acoustic waves in m.crochannels requires the ef.ect of.viscosity to be considered in the equations which com.licates the *** this paper,it is shown that the m.jor contribution of.viscosity and the horizontal com.onent of.actuation is concentrated in a narrow region alongside the actuation *** the inviscid equations are considerably easier to solve,a division into the viscous and inviscid dom.ins would alleviate the com.utational load *** particles'traces calculated by this approxim.tion are excellently alongside their counterparts f.om.the com.letely viscous *** is also shown that the optim.m.thickness f.r the viscous strip is about 9-f.ld the acoustic boundary layer thickness f.r various f.ow patterns and am.litudes of.actuation.

The optim.m.levels of.Lysine and Glutam.ne needed f.r growth perf.rm.nce and m.intenance of.the chicken broilers were evaluated in a random.zed 3 × 4 f.ctorial arrangem.nt of.dietary treatm.nts. The battery cages m.asured 99 × 66 × 25 cm.that can be suf.icient f.r 5 birds. Day old Chicken broilers totaling 180 were assigned to dietary treatm.nts com.rising of.3 concentrations of.Lysine (0.85, 1.14, and 1.42) each in com.ination with 4 concentrations of.Glutam.ne (0, 1, 2, and 3). Each dietary treatm.nt was replicated 3 tim.s and each replication had 5 birds. The birds were given f.ed and water ad libitum.with a 23-hour light regim.n f.r a period of.4 weeks. Then, the experim.ntal birds were evaluated f.r body weight gain, f.ed consum.tion, and f.ed conversion in order to determ.ne their optim.m.requirem.nt f.r dietary Lysine and Glutam.ne. Based on the f.ndings of.this study, the highest perf.rm.nce was observed in birds f.d the diet supplem.nted with 1.42 lysine and 1% glutam.ne, but the highest im.rovem.nt in f.ed conversion was observed in diet contain 1.14 and 1.42 with 1% and 3% glutam.ne, respectively. Birds f.d 1.42 lysine and 1% glutam.ne had the highest total body weight gain and f.ed consum.tion. The lysine requirem.nts in the diet f.r Chicken are between 1.14 and 1.42 with glutam.ne level of.1%.

A 499.8 m.z SOLEIL-type superconducting cavity was sim.lated and designed f.r the f.rst tim. in this paper. The higher-order m.de (HOm. properties of.the cavity were investigated. Two kinds of.coaxial HOm.couplers were designed. Using 4 L-type and 4 T-type HOm.couplers, the longitudinal im.edance was suppressed to 3 kΩ, and the transverse im.edance below 30 kΩ/m. The HOm.dam.ing requirem.nts of.Hef.i Advanced Light f.cility (HALf. were satisf.ed. This paper conducts an in-depth study on the radio f.equency (Rf. design, m.ltipacting optim.zation, and therm.l analysis of.these coaxial couplers. Sim.lation results indicated that under operating acceleration voltage, the optim.zed couplers does not exhibit m.ltiplicating or therm.l breakdown phenom.na. The cavity has the potential to reach a higher acceleration gradient.

In m.st f.rm.ng system. newly introduced com.ercial f.rtilizers to be accepted, adopted and used by f.rm.rs, their ef.ectiveness and appropriate application rates m.st be exhibited. This study was conducted to validate the ef.ect and rates of.a bio-f.rtilizer (super agric) on oil palm.seedling growth. The trial was laid out in a random.zed com.lete block design (RCBD) with three application rates of.0, 4 and 8 m./L of.water (treatm.nts) replicated thrice. f.llowing the application of.super agric to oil palm.seedlings f.r a period of.six m.nths, observations drawn f.om.the analysis of.growth data were as f.llows: Three m.nths af.er treatm.nt, super agric signif.cantly (P f.oil palm.seedling com.ared to those which were not applied with super agric. The results also showed that when super agric was applied at a rate of.4 m./L, the leaf.length and breadth were higher com.ared to the control were super agric was not used. f.rtherm.re, applications of.super agric im.roved oil palm.seedling nitrogen uptake by 31% in treatm.nt groups as com.ared to the control which explained the height and breadth increase in the oil palm.seedlings that were applied with super agric. On the other hand, the ef.ect of.super agric application on phosphorus uptake by seedlings was not signif.cant. Although the height, breadth, leaf.width and length were all signif.cantly af.ected by super agric application, the num.er of.oil palm.leaves and spears were not af.ected f.r the period the experim.nt was conducted. Six m.nths af.er application of.super agric the growth of.oil palm.seedlings was f.vorably im.acted, hence we recom.end super agric to be prom.ted am.ng oil palm.seedling growers.

HACEK organism. represent a rare but im.ortant group of.causative pathogens in endocarditis. These bacteria have historically been associated with culture-negative endocarditis;however, m.dern laboratory techniques have m.de this less com.on. In this case, we present a 74-year-old m.n who presented with acute onset altered m.ntation, f.ver, and sepsis. He was ultim.tely f.und to have Haem.philus inf.uenzae m.ningitis, cerebral em.yem., aortic valve endocarditis, psoas m.ositis, and L2 - L3 diskitis with osteom.elitis. Although HACEK organism. are com.only f.und in the oropharynx and upper respiratory tract in hum.ns, our patient did not report recent preceding dental or ENT procedures. H. inf.uenzae is responsible f.r approxim.tely 0.16% of.all cases of.bacterial endocarditis, representing a very lim.ted subset. Although generally considered low virulent pathogens, this case dem.nstrates the unusual extent of.inf.ction f.om.a HACEK organism. H. inf.uenzae, causing aortic valve endocarditis as well as atypical non-cardiac sequelae, including acute m.ningitis.
