We complete the determination of the maximum sizes of （k,n）-arcs, n ≤ 12, in the projective gjelmslev planes over the two （proper） chain rings Z9 = Z/9Z and S3 = F3[X]/（X2） of order 9 by resolving the hitherto open cases n = 6 and n = 7. Parts of our proofs rely on decidedly geometric properties of the planes such as Desargues＇ theorem and the existence of certain subplanes.

The low-cycle fatigue （LCF） behavior of a nickel-based single crystal superalloy with [001] orientation was studied at an intermediate temperature of T0℃ and a higher temperature of To ＋ 250℃ under a constant low strain rate of 10^-3 s^-1 in ambient atmosphere. The superalloy exhibited cyclic tension-compression asymmetry which is dependent on the temperature and applied strain amplitude. Analysis on the fracture surfaces showed that the surface and subsurface casting micropores were the major crack initiation sites. Interior Ta-rich carbides were frequently observed in all specimens. Two distinct types of fracture were suggested by fractogaphy. One type was characterized by Mode-I cracking with a microscopically rough surface at To ＋ 250℃. Whereas the other type at lower temperature T0℃ favored either one or several of the octahedral {111} planes, in contrast to the normal Mode-I growth mode typically observed at low loading frequencies （several Hz）. The failure mechanisms for two cracking modes are shearing of γ＇ precipitates together with the matrix at T0℃ and cracking confined in the matrix and the γ/γ＇interface at To - 250℃.

目的研究重度僵硬性脊柱侧后凸截骨手术后,椎管内壁长度的变化,以此测量脊髓在脊柱凸手术矫形过程中不同位置被拉伸或缩短的程度。方法回顾性分析2016年8月至2018年12月北京朝阳医院收治的10例重度脊柱侧后凸患者的临床及影像学资料,其中5例行Ponte截骨,5例行后路全椎体截骨(VCR截骨)。通过站立位X线测量术前及术后Cobb角;通过3D建模软件将CT图像重建成全脊柱3D模型,在椎弓根平面对椎管横截面进行测量和标记,最后连接所有平面椎管横截面生成完整3D模型。测量上下端椎(U/LEV)范围内,T2~L2范围内前侧、后侧、左侧、右侧和中央的椎管长度(SCL)。测量T2~L2间的垂直相对距离。手术前后数据比较采用t检验。结果5例行Ponte截骨患者,术后冠状位Cobb角改善89°±17°(56%±11%),矢状位改善84°±16°(56%±8%)。T2~L2凹侧SCL平均延长(9.9±4.8)mm,凸侧平均延长(6.0±12.7)mm;U/LEV间凹侧SCL平均延长(7.2±5.4)mm;凸侧U/LEV范围内SCL平均延长(-0.5±7.9)mm;T2~L2间椎体垂直距离平均改善(66.1±12.0)mm,U/LEV范围内平均改善(38.0±15.3)mm。5例行VCR截骨患者,术后冠状位Cobb角平均改善83°±19°(60%±10%),矢状位平均改善82°±22°(56%±10%),T2~L2凹侧SCL平均延长(-5.5±5.3)mm;凸侧平均延长(-14.0±6.6)mm;凹侧U/LEV范围内SCL平均延长(-8.3±8.4)mm;凸侧U/LEV范围内SCL平均延长(-20.7±11.6)mm;T2~L2间椎体垂直距离平均延长(41.5±12.4)mm。结论重度脊柱侧凸患者手术矫形后,凹侧椎管延长明显不同于凸侧,Ponte截骨导致凹侧椎管延长较凸侧多,VCR截骨导致凸侧缩短长度大于凹侧。

The effects of brassinosteroid signaling on shoot and root development have been characterized in great detail but a simple consistent positive or negative impact on a basic cellular parameter was not *** this study,we combined digital 3D single-cell shape analysis and single-cell mRNA sequencing to charac-terize root meristems and mature root segments of brassinosteroid-blind mutants and wild *** resul-tant datasets demonstrate that brassinosteroid signaling affects neither cell volume nor cell proliferation ***,brassinosteroid signaling is essential for the precise orientation of cell division planes and the extent and timing of anisotropic cell ***,we found that the cell-aligning effects of brassinosteroid signaling can propagate to normalize the anatomy of both adjacent and distant brassinosteroid-blind cells through non-cell-autonomous functions,which are sufficient to restore growth ***,single-cell transcriptome data discern directly brassinosteroid-responsive genes from genes that can react non-cell-autonomously and highlight arabinogalactans as sentinels of brassinosteroid-dependent anisotropic cell expansion.

Long-Term Clinical and Radiological Outcome in Primary Hemiarthroplasty for Comminuted Humeral Head Fractures in the Elderly: A 5 - 10 Years Follow-Up Prospective Study

Objective: In the constantly growing population of people beyond the age of 60 years, the incidence of complex comminuted humeral head fractures increases, thus increasing the need for prosthetic replacement. The purpose of this study was to determine the long-term results after primary hemiarthroplasty in patients older than 60 years. Methods: From 08/2010 to 12/2015 a prospective study of 54 patients (mean age 75 years) with complex humeral head fracture was performed at the University Hospital Rostock. 24 patients were available for follow-up after 5 - 10 years. Pain, the Karnofsky-index, and the range of motion were obtained as well as radiographs in two planes. The Constant-Murley score and the UCLA rating system were evaluated for functional assessment. Results: 15 patients were painfree. The Karnofsky index deteriorated from 94 preoperatively to 70. The Constant-Murley score of the operated extremity reached 47 points out of possible 100, the uninjured side scored 82 points. The age-specific Constant-Murley score showed more favorable results. The UCLA rating system values leveled up to 22 out of 35 points for the replaced shoulder and 33 points for the other arm. Radiologically, more than 50% of the implants were classified as non-centered and the acromio-humeral space diminished significantly. Conclusions: Primary hemiarthroplasty helps to restore a situation of little or no pain whereas functional and radiological outcome remains limited. Revision surgery or conversion to reverse shoulder arthroplasty was not indicated in any case supporting the clinical value of hemiarthroplasty.

Effect of Exercise on Gait Kinematics and Kinetics in Patients with Chronic Ischaemic Stroke

Introduction :?In 2014, American Heart Association and American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA) issued exercise guidelines for stroke patients. Aim of the Study: To study the effects of an exercise programme based on AHA/ ASA guidelines, on gait kinematics and kinetics in patients with chronic ischemic stroke. Materials and Methods: Twelve stroke patients, 67.33 ± 9.14 years old, followed an 8-week exercise programme, with 3 hourly sessions per week, consisting of strength, endurance and flexibility training, as well as neuromuscular activities. Patients’ gait kinematics and kinetics were evaluated before and after the intervention using a 3-dimensional gait analysis system. Results: In most cases, patients in the intervention group showed significant increase or no change in gait kinematics, significant increase in joint moments at the anterior-posterior plane during support phase, and non-signi- ficant change in the frontal and transverse planes kinetics. Conclusions: Exercise prevented further deterioration and/or led to improved walking pattern.
