The Internet ofMedical Things(IoMT)is mainly concernedwith the efficient utilisation of wearable devices in the healthcare domain to manage various processes automatically,whereas machine learning approaches enable these smart systems to make informed ***,broadcasting is used for the transmission of frames,whereas congestion,energy efficiency,and excessive load are among the common issues associated with existing *** this paper,a machine learning-enabled shortest path identification scheme is presented to ensure reliable transmission of frames,especially with the minimum possible communication overheads in the IoMT *** this purpose,the proposed scheme utilises a well-known technique,i.e.,kruskal’s algorithm,to find an optimal path from source to destination wearable ***,other evaluation metrics are used to find a reliable and shortest possible communication path between the two interested *** from that,every device is bound to hold a supplementary path,preferably a second optimised path,for situations where the current communication path is no longer available,either due to device failure or heavy ***,the machine learning approach helps enable these devices to update their routing tables simultaneously,and an optimal path could be replaced if a better one is *** proposed mechanism has been tested using a smart environment developed for the healthcare domain using IoMT *** results show that the proposed machine learning-oriented approach performs better than existing approaches where the proposed scheme has achieved the minimum possible ratios,i.e.,17%and 23%,in terms of end to end delay and packet losses,***,the proposed scheme has achieved an approximately 21%improvement in the average throughput compared to the existing schemes.

Rice line 1892S is an elite thermo-sensitive genic male sterile(TGMS)line for two-line hybrid rice ***,1892S is susceptible to rice blast,bacterial blight and *** we reported the introduction of blast resistance(R)gene Pi9,bacterial blight R gene Xa21 and submergence tolerance gene Sub1A into 1892S genetic background through backcrossing and marker-assisted *** improved TGMS line 31892S and its hybrids conferred disease resistance to rice blast and bacterial blight,and showed submergence tolerance for over 14 d without significant loss of *** sterility-fertility conversion of 31892S was similar to that of 1892S.31892S and its derived hybrid rice had similar agronomic traits and grain quality with 1892S and the control hybrid rice,*** newly developed 31892S provided an improved TGMS line for two-line hybrid rice production with disease resistance to rice blast and bacterial blight,and submergence tolerance with no yield penalty or change in grain quality.

Objective: To examine the wound healing properties of eicosane, pentadecane and palmitic acid by evaluating in term of anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, proliferation, migration and collagen synthesis. Methods: Anti-microbial activities of Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were evaluated by carrying out disk diffusion and agar well diffusion methods. Growth rate of tested bacteria was also evaluated for 8 h in conjunction with the sample drugs. Besides, U937 cell lines were used as model study for realtime mRNA genes expression studies of TNF-毩 and IL-12 under the treatment. Proliferation, migration and collagen content synthesis were carried out on human dermal fibroblast. Results: None of the sample drugs possessed significant inhibition of bacteria tested in this study both in disk diffusion and agar well diffusion methods. In contrary, significantly low expressed mRNA gene expression levels of TNF-毩 and IL-12 were found under the treatment of respective drugs. Meanwhile in proliferation, migration and hydroxyproline content analysis, all the sample drugs showed no significant positive stimulation. Conclusions: This study therefore explains that apart from their potential in downregulating pro-inflammatory cytokines, these three compounds which were examined individually may not be good candidates in promoting wound healing.

Nuclear pore complexes(NPCs),which comprise multiple copies of nucleoporins(Nups),are large protein assemblies embedded in the nuclear envelope connecting the nucleus and *** it has been known that Nups affect flowering in Arabidopsis,the underlying mechanisms are poorly ***,we show that loss of function of Nucleoporin 160(Nup160)leads to increased abundance of CONSTANS(CO)protein and the resulting upregulation of FLOWERING LOCUS T(FT)specifically in the *** demonstrate that Nup160 regulates CO protein stability through affecting NPC localization of an E3-ubiquitin ligase,HIGH EXPRESSION OF OSMOTICALLY RESPONSIVE GENES1(HOS1),which destabilizes CO protein in the morning *** together,these results provide a mechanistic understanding of Nup function in the transition from vegetative to reproductive growth,suggesting that deposition of HOS1 at NPCs by Nup160 is essential for preventing precocious flowering in response to photoperiod in Arabidopsis.

Abstract Weight making behaviours and best practice recommendations for various combat sports have been well documented,how-ever this is not true for Silat ***-and post-weigh-in recommendations for other combat sports may not be suitable for Silat due to differences in weigh-in *** a well-established questionnaire,this questionnaire-based cross sectional study examined weight making practices of Silat match athletes(n=102)competing at a national Pencak Silat *** 24.5%of athletes engaged in pre-competition weight loss,and the overall Rapid Weight Loss Score(RWLS)was 27.7±8.7,considerably lower than other combat *** median age when weight loss began was 17 years,with 32%(n=8)starting such practices under 17 *** weight management practices such as the use of laxatives,diet pills and vomiting were less common than in other combat *** and fellow athletes are key influencers of weight making practices,and dietitians were found be an underutilised *** measures to empower coaches and athletes with the knowledge and ability to guide and execute less detrimental weight making practice with the involvement of dietitians are *** study findings provide information to establish Silat-specific dietary strategies to improve health and performance.
