High-resolution Fourier spectroscopy as a tool for studying quality of rare-earth-doped crystals

Three examples were considered of the use of high resolution Fourier-transform optical spectroscopy for studying quality of rare-earth-doped crystals. The first example was connected with defects present in crystals grown by flux techniques. The second example dealt with detection of stresses and deformations in rare-earth-containing crystals, by registering splitting of spectral lines. The third example showed that a very small amount （at the level ofppm） of different RE ions present in a crystal could be determined using high-resolution spectroscopy. This work was carried out by the author＇s group in collaboration with several institutions in Rus- sia and abroad.

It give a brief review of a spectroscopic research on YbAI3（BO3）4 （YbAB）, on a large group of magnetic iron borates, and on ndCra（BO3）4.

3,6-Bis-β-Dicarbonylsubstituted Carbazoles Bearing n-Spacers and Their Eu(III) Complexes as Immunofluorescent Labelling Agents

new reagents for immunofluorescence analysis of carbazole series containing fluorinated β-dicarbonyl fragments and carboxylic substituent groups separated by spacers of different lengths from the light-gathering carbazole scaffold have been developed. The markers in complex with Eu3+ ions possess stability in the aqueous phase, intense and prolonged luminescence (τ 550 - 570 μs) with characteristic emission maxima in the region of 615 nm and excitation wavelengths in the region of 380 - 390 nm, which distinguishes them from most of the analogs used. In the study of marker conjugation with streptavidin, a reagent containing 4 - 5 europium labeling complexes based on spacer-containing carbazole tetraketone was obtained. The marker-doped silicate nanoparticles exhibit intense and long-lived luminescence in the characteristic region.

Long-term biopotential monitoring requires high-performance biocompatible wearable dry *** currently,it is challenging to establish a form-preserving fit with the skin,resulting in high interface impedance and motion *** research aims to present an innovative solution using an all-green organic dry electrode that eliminates the aforementioned *** dry electrode is prepared by introducing biocompatible maltitol into the chosen conductive polymer,poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate).Thanks to the secondary doping and plasticizer effect of maltitol,the dry electrode exhibits good stretchability(62%),strong self-adhesion(0.46 n/cm),high conductivity(102 S/cm),and low Young's modulus(7 MPa).It can always form a conformal contact with the skin even during body *** with good electrical properties,the electrode enables a lower skin contact impedance compared to the current standard Ag/AgCl gel ***,the application of this dry electrode in bioelectrical signal measurement(electromyography,electrocardiography,electroencephalogra-phy)and long-term biopotential monitoring was successfully demonstrated.

We report on the crystal-field(CF)levels of nd^3+in nd3CrGe3Be2O14,a representative of recently synthesized Be-containing *** are the first in the family to contain two magnetic subsystems,1 D chromium and Kagome-like rare-earth ***-resolution broad-band temperature-dependent spectra allow us to find all five CF Kramers doublets of the ground 4I9/2 CF multiplet and 38 levels of the excited 4I11/2,13/2,15/2,4F3/2,4F5/2+2H9/2,4F7/2+4S3/2 and 4F9/2 CF *** data form a basis for a future exploration of this interesting two-sublattice magnet with frustrated *** transitions between Kramers doublets of nd^3+indicate magnetic activity of 1D-chromium chains at T<20 K.

Liver diseases with the central pathogenetic mechanism of oxidative stress are one of the main causes of mortality ***,dihydroquinoline derivatives,which are precursors of hepatoprotectors and have antioxidant activity,are of *** have previously found that some compounds in this class have the ability to normalize redox homeostasis under experimental ***,we initially analyzed the hepatoprotective potential of the dihydroquinoline derivative 1-benzoyl-6-hydroxy-2,2,4-trimethyl-1,2-dihydroquinoline(BHDQ)for carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)-induced liver injury in *** suggested that BHDQ normalized the alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,and gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase in *** also observed an improvement in liver tissue morphology related to *** with CCl4-induced liver injuries treated with BHDQ had less oxidative stress compared to animals with CCl4-induced liver *** promoted activation changes in superoxide dismutase,catalase,glutathione peroxidase,glutathione reductase,and glutathione transferase on control values in animals with CCl4-induced liver *** also activated gene transcription in Sod1 and Gpx1 via nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 and forkhead box protein O1 ***,the compound of concern has a hepatoprotective effect by inhibiting the development of necrotic processes in the liver tissue,through antioxidation.
