Heterogeneous reaction of NO_(2) with mineral dust aerosol may play important roles in troposphere chemistry,and has been investigated by a number of laboratory ***,the influence of mineralogy on this reaction has not been well understood,and its impact on aerosol hygroscopicity is not yet *** work investigated heterogeneous reactions of NO_(2)(∼10 ppmv)with K-feldspar,illite,kaolinite,montmorillonite and Arizona Test Dust(ATD)at room temperature as a function of relative humidity(<1%to 80%)and reaction time(up to 24 hr).Heterogeneous reactivity towards NO_(2) was low for illite,kaolinite,montmorillonite and ATD,and uptake coefficients of NO_(2),γ(NO_(2)),were determined to be around or smaller than 1×10^(−8);K-feldspar exhibited higher reactivity towards NO_(2),and CaCO_(3) is most reactive among the nine mineral dust samples considered in this and previous *** heterogeneous reaction with NO_(2) for 24 hr,increase in hygroscopicity was nearly insignificant for illite,kaolinite and montmorillonite,and small but significant for K-feldspar;in addition,large increase in hygroscopicity was observed for ATD,although the increase in hygroscopicity was still smaller than CaCO_(3).

Submucosal injection material has shown protective effect against gastrointestinal injury during endoscopic surgery in ***,the protective ability of existing submucosal injection material is strictly limited by their difficult injectability and short barrier ***,we report a shear-thinning gellan gum hydrogel that simultaneously has easy injectability and long-lasting barrier function,together with good hemostatic property and ***-thinning property endows our gellan gum hydrogel with excellent endoscopic injection performance,and the injection pressure of our gellan gum hydrogel is much lower than that of the small molecule solution(50 wt%dextrose)when injected through the endoscopic *** importantly,our gellan gum hydrogel shows much stronger barrier retention ability than normal saline and sodium hyaluronate solution in the ex vivo and in vivo ***,our epinephrine-containing gellan gum hydrogel has a satisfactory hemostatic effect in the mucosal lesion resection model of *** results indicate an appealing application prospect for gellan gum hydrogel utilizing as a submucosal injection material in endoscopic surgery.

Macroalga Gesinella,a carbonaceous compression,is found in the upper part of Doushantuo Formation(Ediacaran)in the Yangtze Platform of South ***,it is composed of a thallus(including an oval or oblong lamina and a short-rod-like stipe)and a holdfast(including a cone-shaped rhizome and many filamentous rhizoids).The cone-shaped rhizome connects with the stipe and the long rhizoids grew on the rhizome,meaning that the rhizome grew downwards and inserted into the sediment,while the rhizoids grew in the gaps between the sediment grains to anchor its body on the *** the lamina,branching and/or unbranching filaments are regularly distributed,so that the oval or oblong lamina can be interpreted as a sac-like body that has been *** filaments on the lamina extend from the three-dimensionally preserved stipe,suggesting that the short-rod-like stipe may have been flexible to support the sac-like body in the water *** tissue and organ differentiations,Gesinella can be regarded as a eukaryotic macroalga and a high-level *** on measurement and analysis of 108 specimens,the Ediacaran macroalga Gesinella from South China can be divided into three stages:juvenile stage(10 mm maximum width)that grew sideways.

To decrease the overlarge calculation induced by the centralized processing,a new cooperative distributed Model predictive control(MPC)method is proposed for large-scale systems with coupled *** and classification are investigated by defining the influence degree to reduce the whole system and then to classify the reduced system into several subsystem *** groups are mutually decoupled,while there is relativity between these subsystems comprised in the same ***/cooperative and distributed MPC algorithms for each group are implemented to ensure the feasibility and the stability of the whole ***,for practical applications,the finite times interactive control strategy between different groups is adopted to compensate information loss brought by the reduced subsystem and realize the global cooperative distributed *** algorithm significantly decreases the computational load,has better control *** are given to illustrate the effectiveness of these developed algorithms.

A Rh(III)-catalyzed oxidative C–H/C–H cross-coupling between indoles and oxazoles with molecular oxygen as an oxidant has been developed to construct a variety of 2-(indol-2-yl)oxazoles. The chelation-assisted strategy endows this catalytic system with an excellent C2-site selectivity by introducing a pyrimidyl directing group. In addition, polycyclic pyridinium salts are also obtained via Rh(III)-catalyzed C–H activation/cyclization of 2-(indol-2-yl)oxazoles with alkynes.

Vitamin A deficiency has become a worldwide *** foods can potentially be an inexpensive,locally adaptable,and long-term solution to dietary-nutrient *** order to improve the β-carotene content in maize grain by breeding and minimize vitamin A deficiency,a complete diallel cross was designed with eight inbred lines of maize,and 64 combinations were obtained in this *** experimental combinations were planted in Yunnan and Sichuan provinces,respectively,with a random complete block *** β-carotene contents in the grains of the experimental materials were analyzed by high-performance liquid *** the tested materials,the effect difference of general combining ability of the β-carotene content was significant;however,the effect difference of the special combining ability and the reciprocal effect were not *** β-carotene content of maize grain was not influenced significantly by the cross and the reciprocal *** was a significant correlation about the β-carotene content in the maize grains between the F 1 and their *** combinations with high β-carotene content were obviously influenced by the environment,and the mean value of β-carotene content for the experimental materials planted in Ya＇an of Sichuan was higher than that planted in Yuanjiang of Yunnan,with the results being significant at the 0.01 level.

In this paper, a novel multisymplectic scheme is proposed for the coupled nonlinear Schrodinger-KdV （CNLS-KdV） equations. The CNLS-KdV equations are rewritten into the multisymplectic Hamiltonian form by introducing some canonical momenta. To simulate the problem efficiently, the CNLS-KdV equations are approximated by a high order compact method in space which preserves N semi-discrete multisymplectic conservation laws. We then discretize the semi-discrete system by using a symplectic midpoint scheme in time. Thus, a full-discrete multisymplectic scheme is obtained for the CNLS-KdV equations. The conservation laws of the full-discrete scheme are analyzed. Some numerical experiments are presented to further verify the convergence and conservation laws of the new scheme.

BACKGROUND: There are more than 100 million wa symptomatic HBV carriers (ASCs) in China and they are at a high risk of developing liver disease, which creates a serious health problem. But more than 90% of normal adults clear virus from primary HBV infection, so the difference of gene expression between ASCs and normal adults determines the differential outcomes. To identify differentially expressed genes in ASCs compared to normal adults, we used suppression subtractive hybridization to compare gene expression. METHODS: cDNA subtracted libraries were constructed by suppression subtracted hybridization from peripheral blood monocytes of ASCs and normal adults, the subtracted clones were prescreened by dot blot hybridization, and the levels of genes of interest were confirmed by real-time reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). RESULTS: One hundred and two and 96 positive clones were acquired from the A-N and N-A libraries, respectively, and 14 and 11 clones were identified by dot blot hybridization in the A-N and N-A libraries. Two genes were confirmed as differentially expressed between a set of ASC and normal adult samples by real-time RT-PCR. CONCLUSIONS: Differentially expressed genes in peripheral blood mononuclear cells between ASCs and normal adults were isolated by suppression subtractive hybridization, and included some new genes. Of the upregulated genes in ASCs, checkpoint suppressor I is associated with DNA damage-induced cell cycle arrest. Perforin I is associated with inflammation. The information about such alterations in gene expression could be useful for elucidating the mechanisms of ASC pathogenesis.
