A Quantitative Analysis of Dose Distributions of Two Tangential Whole Breast Irradiation Techniques

We compared DVHs （dose volume histograms） of two tangential irradiation techniques for whole breast RT （radiotherapy） CT （computed tomography） based 2D （two dimensional） technique with wedge filters and 3D CRT （three dimensional conformal radiotherapy） with segmented fields. These two modalities are commonly used in external beam radiotherapy of breast cancer in Clinical Center Nis, Clinic of Oncology, Serbia. Therapy plans that employed two techniques were generated for eighteen patients. Dosimetric outcomes of each technique were investigated. The maximum dose of breast CTV was significantly reduced from 55.83 Gy for 2D to 54.1 Gy for 3D CRT. Also, the maximum dose of lung tissue decreased from 51.81 Gy for 2D to 49.61 Gy for 3D. The dose conformity and uniformity were much better with 3D CRT segmented field technique.

Objective： Various nanoparticles have been designed and tested in order to select optimal carriers for the inhalation delivery ofanticancer drugs to the lungs. Methods： q-he following nanocarriers were studied： micelles, liposomes, mesoporous silica nanoparticles （MSNs）, poly propyleneimine （PPI） dendrimer-siRNA complexes nanoparticles, quantum dots （QDs）, and poly （ethylene glycol） polymers. All particles were characterized using the following methods： dynamic light scattering, zeta potential, atomic force microscopy, in vitro cyto- and genotoxicity. In vivo organ distribution of all nanopartides, retention in the lungs, and anticancer effects of liposomes loaded with doxorubicin were examined in nude mice after the pulmonary or intravenous delivery. Results： Significant differences in lung uptake were found after the inhalation delivery of lipid-based and non-lipid-based nanoparticles. The accumulation ofliposomes and miceUes in lungs remained relatively high even 24 h after inhalation when compared with MSNs, Q Ds, and PPI dendrimers. There were notable differences between nanoparticle accumulation in the lungs and other organs 1 and 3 h after inhalation or intravenous administrations, but 24 h after intravenous injection all nanoparticles were mainly accumulated in the liver, kidneys, and spleen. Inhalation delivery of doxorubicin by liposomes significantly enhanced its anticancer effect and prevented severe adverse side effects of the treatment in mice bearing the orthotopic model of lung cancer. Conclusion： The results of the study demonstrate that lipid-based nanocarriers had considerably higher accumulation and longer retention time in the lungs when compared with non-lipid-based carriers after the inhalation delivery. These particles are most suitable for effective inhalation treatment of lung cancer.

可控瞬时压差加工技术(Instant controlled pressure drop processing,法语为Détente instantannée contr?lée,简称DIC),又称变温压差膨化技术,于1988年由法国学者发明。DIC加工技术的原理是基于将处理仓内高压(或大气压力)瞬时下降到真空状态,利用这一过程中产生的热力学效应使物料内部水分快速闪蒸,实现体积膨胀或质构改性等目的。经DIC技术处理后的农产品可获得多孔的组织结构和酥脆的口感。此外,DIC技术的优点还体现在色泽、风味,以及较低的生产成本等方面。本文综述了国内外可控瞬时压差加工技术的研究和应用现状,重点介绍了DIC在农产品质构改性、化学成分提取、杀菌消毒、食物脱敏、粮食干燥过程减损、生物能源制造、生物大分子改性和农产品干燥等方面的研究进展,分析了国内可控瞬时压差加工技术存在的主要问题,并对该技术未来的发展趋势进行了展望。

East Java Propolis Inhibits Cytokine Pro-inflammatory in Odontoblast-Like Cells Human Pulp

Inflammation in pulp tissue is caused by caries bacteria. Most bacteria found are Lactobacillus acidophilus. Propolis is a sticky resin material that is derived from the bees and the surrounding plants, which are reported to have several biological effects including anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. This study will prove the effectiveness of propolis against proinflammatory cytokines on odontoblast-like cells in human dental pulp. This study was performed on cultured odontoblast-like cells in pulp. Cell culture was derived from the pulp tissue of human M3 teeth that had been extracted. Odontoblast pulp culture was divided in three groups： group one, cultured cells with propolis; group two, cultured cells induced with inactive Lactobacillus acidophilus; group three, cultured cells induced with inactive Lactobacillus acidophilus and exposed to 3 μg/mL propolis. A measurement of TNF-α and TGF-β1 expression was done using the immunocytochemical technique to determine the effectiveness of propolis extracts from East Java Indonesia against proinfalmmatory cytokines. Data were analyzed using the analysis of variance （ANOVA） test （P = 0.05）. Propolis extract can inhibit the expression of TNF-α and increase the expression of TGF-β1 on odontoblast-like cell in human dental pulp. Anti-inflammatory effects of East Java propolis extract are associated with cytokine modulation.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the efficacy of 2% Cynara scolymus L. extracts in reverse disturbances of collagen metabolism and inflammation in D-galactose induced skin aging model in rats. D-galactose induced aging reproduced in 48 animals of main group, and 12 rats in control group. All animals in main group were randomized for 4 groups: I. aging + saline, II - IV. different manufacturers 2% artichoke extracts (with content of chlorogenic acid 2.5%) in a dose of intradermal injection 0.13 mg twice at weeks during 4 weeks. Influence of artichoke extracts restored skin relative weight and led to an increase of solubility in neutral salt and acid, and decreased pepsin solubility collagen fraction, restored the hexosamine/collagen (hydroxyproline) ratio and decreased the activity of nuclear transcription factor (NF-kB). Local prolonged treatment with artichoke extracts improved collagen metabolism and attenuated the progression of inflammation in D-galactose induced skin aging model.

To verify the precision and accuracy of transglutaminase antibodies (TGA) assays across Mediterranean countries. METHODSThis study involved 8 referral centres for celiac disease (CD) in 7 Mediterranean countries. A central laboratory prepared 8 kits of 7 blinded and randomized serum samples, with a titrated amount of Human TGA IgA. Each sample was analysed three times on three different days, with each centre running a total of 21 tests. The results were included in a blindly coded report form, which was sent to the coordinator centre. The coordinator estimated the mean coefficient of Variation (CoVar = σ/μ), the mean accuracy (Accur = Vobserved - Vreal) and the mean percent variation (Var% = [(Vobserved - Vreal)/Vreal] × 100). RESULTSThe analysis showed that 79.17% of the mean variation fell between -25% and +25% of the expected value, with the accuracy and precision progressively increasing with higher titres of TGA. From values 1.25 times greater than the normal cut-off, the measurements were highly reliable. CONCLUSIONTGA estimation is a crucial step for the diagnosis of CD; given its accuracy and precision, clinicians could be confident in establishing a diagnosis.

It is?important to find out the impact of E-learning management system in the University of Jordan,?examine the students’ acceptance for this new system and address the challenges facing the students while using the E-learning management system and these are what this paper is trying to do.

Baddeleyite is an important mineral geochronometer. It is valued in the U-Pb (ID-TIMS) geochronology more than zircon because of its magmatic origin, while zircon can be metamorphic, hydrothermal or occur as xenocrysts. Detailed mineralogical (BSE, KL, etc.) research of baddeleyite started in the Fennoscandian Shield in the 1990s. The mineral was first extracted from the Paleozoic Kovdor deposit, the second-biggest baddeleyite deposit in the world after Phalaborwa (2.1 Ga), South Africa. The mineral was successfully introduced into the U-Pb systematics. This study provides new U-Pb and LA-ICP-MS data on Archean Ti-Mgt and BIF deposits, Paleoproterozoic layered PGE intrusions with Pt-Pd and Cu-Ni reefs and Paleozoic complex deposits (baddeleyite, apatite, foscorite ores, etc.) in the NE Fennoscandian Shield. Data on concentrations of REE in baddeleyite and temperature of the U-Pb systematics closure are also provided. It is shown that baddeleyite plays an important role in the geological history of the Earth, in particular, in the break-up of supercontinents.

Life is being developed every day in all of the life aspects. One of the major developing aspects is information technology (IT), and communication technology which makes life easier, faster, and more connected. ICT is evolving fast in Jordan and offering the government to deliver multiple delivery services with different characteristics among E-government services. The Jordanian government has invested heavily in E-government initiatives for the last 10 years to transform from traditional service delivery to more effective and efficient service to deliver high-quality customer-centric and performance-driven services to E-government stakeholders. However the global rank of E-government readiness as well as regional rank of Jordan is still in low rank according to the global countries but it is still quite according to the Arab countries. This research provides a trend analysis to find the trends (positive or negative) in the UN E-government indicators in Jordan and provides an overview to the E-government in Jordan where the researchers analyze the development of E-government in Jordan by introducing a general framework for the E-government through discussing the past, present status and the future plans for E-government in Jordan to get better service to their recipients and to improve overall progress of Jordan achievements compared with regional and global countries.
