For a ≥β≥ -1/2 let △（x） = （2shx）^2α＋1 （2chx）2β＋1 denote the weight function on R＋ and L^1 （△） the space of integrable functions on R＋ with respect to △（x）dx, equipped with a convolution structure. For a suitable Ф ∈ L^1 （△）, we put Фt（x） = t^-1 △（x）^-1 △（x/t）Ф（x/t） for t 〉 0 and define the radial maximal operator MФ, as usual manner. We introduce a real Hardy space H^1 （△） as the set of all locally integrable functions f on R＋ whose radial maximal function MФ （f） belongs to L^1 （△）. In this paper we obtain a relation between H^1 （△） and H^1 （R）. Indeed, we characterize H^1 （△） in terms of weighted H^1 Hardy spaces on R via the Abel transform of f. As applications of H^1 （△） and its characterization, we shall consider （H^1 （△）,L^1 （△））-boundedness of some operators associated to the Poisson kernel for Jacobi analysis： the Poisson maximal operator Me, the Littlewood-Paley g-function and the Lusin area function S. They are bounded on L^p（△） for p 〉 1, but not true for p = 1. Instead, Mp, g and a modified Sa,r are bounded from H^1 （△） to L^1 （△）.

Asymmetric hydrogenation of ketones is one of the most reliable methods for obtaining chiral secondary alcohols. This transformation is not only of academic interest, but also of industrial significance because of its simplicity, environmental friendliness, and economic viability. Chiral RuXY(binap)(1,2-diamine) complexes (BINAP = 2,2'-bis(diphenyl-phosphino)-1, 1'-binaphthyl,X = Y = C1 or X = H, Y = BH4) with[1] or without[2] a strong base catalyze rapid, highly productive asymmetric hydrogenation of various simple ketones in 2-propanol. This reaction, unlike conventional hydrogenation, proceeds selectively at a C = O bond leaving coexisting C = C linkages intact. A range of chiral alcohols are accessible in high enantiomeric purity from aromatic,heteroaromatic, olefinic, and amino ketones by this method[1,2]. However, no universal chiral catalysts exist due to the structural diversity of ketonic substrates. Thus, tert-alkyl ketones and 1-tetralones have remained difficult to be hydrogenated with high reactivity and enantioselectivity. We here report that this problem can be resolved by the use of BINAP/PICA-Ru (PICA = α-picolylamine)[3] or BINAP/1,4-diamine-Ru[4] complexes as catalysts.

AIM: To investigate the specific mechanisms of intrinsic and acquired resistance to taxotere (TXT) in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAC). METHODS: MTT assay was used to detect the sensitivity of PAC cell line SUIT-2 and its sublines (S-007, S-013, S-020, S-028 and TXT selected SUIT-2 cell line, S2/TXT) to TXT. Mdr1 (P-gp), multidrug resistance associated protein (MRP), lung resistance protein (LRP) and beta-tubulin isotype gene expressions were detected by RT-PCR. The functionality of P-gp and MRP was tested using their specific blocker verapamil (Ver) and indomethacin (IMC), respectively. The transporter activity of P-gp was also confirmed by Rhodamine 123 accumulation assay. RESULTS: S-020 and S2/TXT were found to be significantly resistant to TXT(19 and 9.5-fold to their parental cell line SUIT-2, respectively). RT-PCR demonstrated strong expression of Mdr1 in these two cell lines, but weaker expression or no expression in other cells lines. MRP and LRP expressions were found in most of these cell lines. The TXT-resistance in S2-020 and S2/TXT could be reversed almost completely by Ver, but not by IMC. Flow cytometry showed that Ver increased the accumulation of Rhodamine-123 in these two cell lines. Compared with S-020 and SUIT-2, the levels of beta-tubulin isotype II, III expressions in S-2/TXT were increased remarkably. CONCLUSION: The both intrinsic and acquired TXT-related drug resistance in these PAC cell lines is mainly mediated by P-gp, but had no relationship to MRP and LRP expressions. The increases of beta-tubulin isotype II, III might be collateral changes that occur when the SUIT-2 cells are treated with TXT.

This study deals with the biogeography of Antarctic microflora （Antarctica acts as best model to study microbial biogeography） such as cyanobacteria and selected halophiles with special emphasis on Halomonas variabilis and Bacillus *** are known to be resistant not only to salt stress,but also to extreme temperature,pressure,and aridity and they are capable of surviving in harsh environments such as polar regions,deep-sea habitats,and *** microbes are known to be resistant to hostile environmental conditions,and are capable of surviving in harsh *** group has isolated 444 strains belonging to 28 genera of halophiles from various environments around the *** 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that many of the isolated strains from geographically distant habitats having different environmental conditions,were closely related to each other,with some strains possessing 100％ identical *** possessing survival mechanism such as spore formation are usually *** genus Halomonas is represented by potentially endemic strains and the ubiquitous ***,while spore-forming *** showed cosmopolitan *** potentially endemic （moderate endemicity that is regional and/or continental distribution） strain was reported from Syowa station,East Antarctica,and Mario Zucchelli station,West Antarctica,which are geographically separated by 3000 ***,15 strains having 100％ similarity with *** were considered *** results of this work provide support for the middle-ground model that some microbes have moderate endemicity and others have cosmopolitan *** results will contribute to a greater understanding of microbial biogeography with special emphasis on Antarctica.

In the present study,numerical calculations of the flow-field around the airfoil model are performed by using the OpenFOAM in high subsonic *** airfoil model is NACA *** maximum thickness is 10 % of the chord *** SonicFOAM and the RhoCentralFOAM are selected as the solver in high subsonic *** grid point is 158,000 and the Mach numbers are 0.277 and 0.569 *** CFD data are compared with the experimental data performed by the cryogenic wind tunnel in the *** results are as *** numerical results of the pressure coefficient distribution on the model surface calculated by the SonicFOAM solver showed good agreement with the experimental data measured by the cryogenic wind *** the data calculated by the SonicFOAM have the capability for the quantitative comparison of the experimental data at low angle of attack.

Development of a smart city planning support tool using the cooperative method

A reduction of environmental burdens is currently required. In particular, proposing a new approach for the construction of a smart city using renewable energy is important. The technological development of a smart city is founded building equipment and infrastructure. However, planning methods and their techniques using the collaboration approach with residents are only just developing. This study aimed to develop a support tool for the construction of a smart city using renewable energy while facilitating consensus-building efforts among residents using the method for a cooperative housing development. We organized the supporting methods for the construction of residential area using the cooperative method. Then, we developed supporting toots that interface the computer with these methods. We examined the support techniques for the construction of a residential area using renewable energy technology by analyzing Japanese cases of a smart city. Moreover, we developed a support toot for the construction of a smart city on a trial basis. We integrated the smart city construction toots and the cooperative housing construction support tool. This tool has a 3D modeling system that helps residents to easily understand the space image as a result of the examination. We also developed a professional supporting toot that residents can consider for cost-effectiveness in renewable energy and its environmental toad reduction rate for the planning of a smart city.

Characterizing human driver characteristics using an artificial neural network and a theoretical model

Human drivers seem to have different characteristics,so different drivers often yield different results from the same driving mode tests with identical vehicles and same chassis ***,drivers with different experiences often yield similar results under the same driving *** the features of human drivers are known,the control inputs to each driver,including warnings,will be customized to optimize each man–machine vehicle ***,it is crucial to determine how to characterize human drivers *** study proposes a method to estimate the parameters of a theoretical model of human *** method uses an artificial neural network(ANN)model and a numerical procedure to interpret the identified ANN models *** approach involves the following ***,we specify each ANN driver model through chassis dynamometer tests performed by each human driver and ***,we obtain the parameters of a theoretical driver model using the ANN model for the corresponding ***,we simulate the driver’s behaviors using the identified ANN models with controlled ***,we estimate the theoretical driver model parameters using the numerical simulation results.A proportional-integral-differential(PID)control model is used as the theoretical *** results of the parameter estimation indicate that the PID driver model parameter combination can characterize human ***,the results suggest that vehicular factors influence the parameter combinations of human drivers.

In Japan, focal cities experience a number of probtems retated to deterioration of residentiat environment, quality of public service, and vitalization of commercial rand. SpecificaLLy, the presence of Large vacant tots behind sizable stores, office buildings, hospitals, and factories devitatize urban activity and its Landscape. Many local cities are seeking to actuatize a sustainable compact city with an integrated poputation, commerce, traffic and other pubLic services in ways that promote a tow carbon and energy-conserving society. Against the backdrop of these issues, this study examines the occurrence of large vacant lots and their utilization by tocat governments in Japan based on a questionnaire and fietd survey. It highlights severat cases in which a Large vacant tot is used to forward the development of a compact city by a tocat government.

Lumen-apposing metal stent (LAMS) deployment under en- doscopic ultrasonography (EUS) guidance has been used for walled-off necrosis (WON) [1] . Recently, LAMS with electrocautery enhanced delivery system has been developed. One of the advan- tages of this stent is that the stent can be delivered without any dilation devices. However, to prevent stent migration into the in- testinal lumen, it is important that stent delivery system should be inserted within the WON. When the diameter of WON is not large enough to insert stent delivery system, contralateral wall of WON may be injured. To prevent this adverse event, guidewire insertion may be useful after puncturing. In addition, according to the re- cent reports [2–4] , EUS-guided LAMS placement for WON drainage has been performed. We herein described a case of LAMS deploy- ment from the second part of the duodenum using semi-free hand technique.
