Bake-Hardening Response of High Martensite Dual-Phase steel with Different Morphologies and Volume Fractions

Bake-hardening behaviour of carbon steel with different martensite morphologies and volume fraction was investigated. the specimens with fibrous and bulky martensite were prestrained in tension by 4%. After this, they were unloaded and bake hardened at 180 ℃ for 10-160 min. It was found that dual-phase steel samples which were bake hardened at 180 ℃ for 20 rain showed an increase in the yield stress （Ys） and ultimate tensile stress （Uts） but a decrease in ductility. Further increase in the bake-hardening time of 80 or 160 min has reduced the Ys and Uts, but increased the ductility. △σ （increase in stress due to bake hardening）, Ys and Uts values are higher for the microstructure containing fibrous martensite compared to the microstructure-containing bulky martensite. It was also observed that at a given baking temperature Aa, Ys and Uts increased by volume of martensite.

the insensitivity of semiconductors to visible and infrared light is a key constraint on the utilization of light energy in photocatalytic *** photocatalysts with full-spectrum absorption through surface engineering is an effective approach to fully harnessing light energy in semiconductor ***,a novel stable ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x)MXene/Cds heterojunction catalyst is obtained by in-situ epitaxial growth of two-dimensional(2D)Cds nanosheets on 2D MXene interface via a solvothermal *** exceptional light absorption properties of MXene confer outstanding full-spectrum driven photocat-alytic hydrogen evolution capability upon the heterogeneous *** unique 2D/2D structure effectively mitigated the recombination of photogenerated carriers,enhancing the photocatalytic performance of the ***,the composite catalyst exhibits a significantly higher surface temperature of 80.4℃under visible light irradiation at an intensity of 0.1 W/cm^(2),which is 1.84 times higher than that of *** irradiation of visible and near infrared light,the composite catalyst with photothermal ef-fect demonstrates a remarkable hydrogen evolution rate of 65.4 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1),which is 7.2 times higher than that of Cds *** study introduces a novel approach for constructing full-spectrum absorption catalysts and expands the application of the photothermal effect in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution research.

this paper examines the design concept and mobile control strategy of the human assistant robot I-PENtAR(inverted pendulum type assistant robot). the motion equation is derived considering the non-holonomic constraint of the twowheeled mobile robot. Different optimal control approaches are applied to a linearized model of I-PENtAR. these include linear quadratic regulator(LQR), linear quadratic Gaussian control(LQG), H_2 control and H_∞ control. simulation is performed for all the approaches yielding good performance results.

the increased demand for superior materials has highlighted the need of investigating the mechanical properties of composites to achieve enhanced constitutive ***-reinforced polymer composites have emerged as an integral part of materials development with tailored mechanical ***,the complexity and heterogeneity of such composites make it considerably more challenging to have precise quantification of properties and attain an optimal design of structures through experimental and computational *** order to avoid the complex,cumbersome,and labor-intensive experimental and numerical modeling approaches,a machine learning(ML)model is proposed here such that it takes the microstructural image as input with a different range of Young’s modulus of carbon fibers and neat epoxy,and obtains output as visualization of the stress component s11(principal stress in the x-direction).For obtaining the training data of the ML model,a short carbon fiberfilled specimen under quasi-static tension is modeled based on 2D Representative Area Element(RAE)using finite element *** composite is inclusive of short carbon fibers with an aspect ratio of 7.5that are infilled in the epoxy systems at various random orientations and positions generated using the simple sequential Inhibition(ssI)*** study reveals that the pix2pix deep learning Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)model is robust enough to predict the stress fields in the composite for a given arrangement of short fibers filled in epoxy over the specified range of Young’s modulus with high *** CNN model achieves a correlation score of about 0.999 and L2 norm of less than 0.005 for a majority of the samples in the design spectrum,indicating excellent prediction *** this paper,we have focused on the stage-wise chronological development of the CNN model with optimized performance for predicting the full-field stress maps of the fiber-reinforced composite ***

the heat transfer of the combined magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)and electroosmotic flow(EOF)of non-Newtonian fluid in a rotating microchannel is analyzed.A couple stress fluid model is scrutinized to simulate the rheological characteristics of the *** exact solution for the energy transport equation is ***,this solution is utilized to obtain the flow velocity and volume flow rates within the flow domain under appropriate boundary *** obtained analytical solution results are compared with the previous data in the literature,and good agreement is obtained.A detailed parametric study of the effects of several factors,e.g.,the rotational Reynolds number,the Joule heating parameter,the couple stress parameter,the Hartmann number,and the buoyancy parameter,on the flow velocities and temperature is *** is unveiled that the elevation in a couple stress parameter enhances the EOF velocity in the axial direction.

We investigate the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model for a two-dimensional laminar boundary layer flow of an incompressible Oldroyd-B fluid over a linearly stretching sheet. Mathematical formulation of the boundary layer problems is given. the nonlinear partial differential equations are converted into the ordinary differential equations using similarity transformatioris. the dimensionless velocity and temperature profiles are obtained through optimal homotopy analysis method （OHAM）. the influences of the physical parameters on the velocity and the temperature are pointed out. the results show that the temperature and the thermal boundary layer thickness are smaller in the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model than those in the Fourier＇s law of heat conduction.

A random two-dimensional large scale nano-network of silver nanowires （Ag-NWs） is fabricated by MeV hydrogen （H＋） ion beam irradiation. Ag-NWs are irradiated under H＋ ion beam at different ion fluences at room temperature. the Ag-NW network is fabricated by H＋ ion beam-induced welding of Ag-NWs at intersecting positions. H＋ ion beam induced welding is confirmed by transmission electron microscopy （tEM） and scanning electron microscopy （sEM）. Moreover, the structure of Ag NWs remains stable under H＋ ion beam, and networks are optically transparent. Morphology also remains stable under H＋ ion beam irradiation. No slicings or cuttings of Ag-NWs are observed under MeV H＋ ion beam irradiation. the results exhibit that the formation of Ag-NW network proceeds through three steps： ion beam induced thermal spikes lead to the local heating of Ag-NWs, the formation of simple junctions on small scale, and the formation of a large scale network. this observation is useful for using Ag-NWs based devices in upper space where protons are abandoned in an energy range from MeV to GeV. this high-quality Ag-NW network can also be used as a transparent electrode for optoelectronics devices.

the cross sections for neutron-induced nuclear reactions on natural zinc, yttrium, and molybdenum targets were measured at a neutron energy of 14.77 ± 0.17 MeV using the activation technique, offline gamma-ray spectrometry, and a detailed covariance analysis. the uncertainty in the statistical model calculations of cross sections for the (n, 2n), (n, p), (n, α), and (n, γ) reactions with natural zinc, yttrium, and molybdenum at neutron energies from 13 to 17 MeV was calculated using the tALYs-1.96 nuclear code. the measured cross sections of the present study were compared with the experimental cross sections reported in the EXFOR database, the cross sections were calculated with the tALYs-1.96 and EMPIRE-3.2.3 nuclear codes and the evaluated nuclear data from the tENDL-2019, JENDL-5, and ENDF/B-VIII.0 libraries.

Objective:to assess antifungal activity of Ocimum sanctum leaves against dermatophytic fungi. Methods:Antifungal activity of Ocimum sanctum leaves was measured by 38 A NCCLs method. Minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) and minimum fungicidal concentration(MFC) of various extracts and fractions of Ocimum sanctum leaves were also ***:Ocimum sanctum leaves possessed antifungal activity against clinically isolated dermatophytes at the concentration of 200μg/*** and MFC were high with water fraction(200μg/mL) against dermatophytic fungi ***:Ocimum sanctum has antifungal activity,and the leaf extracts may be a useful source for dermatophytic infections.
