As a step toward realizing magnesium civilization,which needs a sustainable Mg production process,the reduction of MgO to Mg has been *** diode laser(DDL)produces high power and continuous beam in tiny *** laser with energy density up to 83*10^(5) W/cm^(2) is focused on MgO/si target inside the vacuum chamber,creating the high temperature zone,which stimulates the Mg production *** vapor is collected on the copper plate;and then,analyzed chemically in terms of Mg production *** largest reduction and energy efficiencies in Ar atmosphere were 41%and 15.3 mg kJ^(−1),while in the vacuum,13.5%and 15.8 mg kJ^(−1) were *** reactions of MgO and si have been *** revealed that the MgO reduction with si proceeds as heterogeneous *** rate of reaction of si with MgO is faster than the rate of MgO evaporation and Mg vapor deposition.

In order to produce thick plates with complicated curved surface, a prototype bending machine by the use of high frequency inductor was developed. the bending mechanism is based on the localized stresses which are induced from the difference of temperature in thickness by the high frequency inductor. the operating speed and the thickness of plate were examined from the experiment, and the variation of the temperature was measured. Finite element analysis was carried out in the second part based on the experimentally obtained temperature distribution. the so-called Mindlin plate element was used in order to perform the simulation efficiently. the strategy to produce such curved surface in the practical process was discussed and further perspective of the production system was described. Heat energy generated during machining has been found to have a greater influence on determining the machinability of the *** this work,magnesium-based silicon carbide composite,which has been identified as a suitable lightweight application material,is prepared with the weight ratio of 90:10 by a stir casting *** available Hss drill tools with different diameters of 4,6 and 8 mm are used to perform the drilling operations with governing parameters of spindle speed,feed rate and constant depth of *** image camera of the FLIR E60 series is used to measure the temperature variation in the cutting zone at different operating *** influences of machining temperature on chip morphology,tool wear and surface profile of the machined samples are *** speed has been found to have a significant effect on machining *** spindle speed increases,the diameter of drill tool increases the tool wear and surface profile,*** abrasion and adhesive type of wears are observed in the drill ***,change from abrasion to adhesive wear is noticed with the increase of the diameter of the drill *** plots are drawn with respect to the interaction of governing parameters along with the working temperatures obtained under different machining conditions.

Excited states in low-energy spectra of ^(70-76) Ni are considered. Accordingly, pairing forces in the form of surface delta interaction are employed to account for the formation of the ground state multiplet with seniority v= 2 states. the multiplet splitting is described with mass relationships of masses of neighboring nuclei. subsequently, the seniority model is adopted to reproduce or predict the states v= 3 in odd-even isotopes and v= 4 in even-even isotopes. the correct account of the 2^(+)_(1) state should allow for the description of the reversed order of J = 4 states with v= 2 and v= 4 observed in experiments. the results obtained are compared with the structure of similar multiplets in N=50 isotones.

A hybrid isothermal model for the homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions in ferrohydrodynamic boundary layer ?ow is established. the characteristics of Newtonian heating and magnetic dipole in a ferro?uid due to a stretchable surface is analyzed for three chemical species. It is presumed that the isothermal cubic autocatalator kinetic gives the homogeneous reaction and the ?rst order kinetics gives the heterogeneous(surface) reaction. the analysis is carried out for equal diffusion coe?cients of all autocatalyst and reactions. Heat ?ux is examined by incorporating Fourier's law of heat conduction. Characteristics of materialized parameters on the magneto-thermomechanical coupling in the ?ow of a chemically reactive species are investigated. Further, the heat transfer rate and friction drag are depicted for the ferrohydrodynamic chemically reactive species. It is evident that the schmidt number has increasing behavior on the rate of heat transfer in the boundary layer. Comparison with available results for speci?c cases is found an excellent agreement.
