Understanding the relat.onship between forest management and water use efficiency(WUE)is important for evaluating forest adaptability to climate ***,the effects of thinning and understory removal on WUE and its key cont.olling processes are not well underst.od,which limits our comprehension of the physiological mechanisms of various management *** this study,four forest management measures(no thinning:Nt;understory removal:UR;light thinning:Lt;and heavy thinning:Ht)were carried out in Pinus massoniana plantat.ons in a subt.opical region of *** capacity and needle stable carbon isotope composit.on(δ^(13)C)were measured to assess instantaneous water use efficiency(WUE_(inst))and long-term water use efficiency(WUE_(i)).Multiple regression models and structural equat.on modelling(SEM)identified the effects of soil properties and physiological performances on WUE_(inst)and WUE_(i).the results show that WUE_(inst)values among the four treatments were ***,compared with the Nt stand(35.8μmol·mol^(-1)),WUE_(i)values significantly increased to 41.7μmol·mol^(-1)in the UR,50.1μmol·mol^(-1)in the Lt and 46.6μmol·mol^(-1)in Ht treatments,largely explained by photosynthetic capacity and soil water *** removal did not change physiological performance(needle water potential and photosynthetic capacity).thinning increased the net photosynthetic rate(A_n)but not stomatal conductance(g_s)or predawn needle water potential(ψ_(pd)),implying that the improvement in water use efficiency for thinned stands was largely driven by radiat.on intercept.on than by soil water *** general,thinning may be an appropriate management measure to promote *** WUE to cope with seasonal droughts under future extreme climates.

Multidimensional integrat.on and multifunct.onal com-ponent assembly have been greatly explored in recent years to extend Moore’s Law of modern ***,this inevitably exac-erbates the inhomogeneity of temperature distribut.on in microsystems,making precise temperature cont.ol for elect.onic components extremely ***,we report an on-chip micro temperature cont.oller including a pair of thermoelectric legs with a total area of 50×50μm^(2),which are fabricated from dense and flat freestanding Bi2te3-based ther-moelectric nano films deposited on a newly developed nano graphene oxide membrane *** tunable equivalent thermal resistance is cont.olled by electrical currents to achieve energy-efficient temperature cont.ol for low-power elect.onics.A large cooling temperature difference of 44.5 K at 380 K is achieved with a power consumpt.on of only 445μW,resulting in an ultrahigh temperature cont.ol capability over 100 K mW^(-1).Moreover,an ultra-fast cooling rate exceeding 2000 K s^(-1) and excellent reliability of up to 1 million cycles are *** proposed on-chip temperature cont.oller is expected to enable further miniaturizat.on and multifunct.onal integrat.on on a single chip for microelect.onics.

Based on the actual data collected from the tight sandstone development zone, correlat.on analysis using theSpearman met.od was conducted to determine the main factors influencing the gas product.on rate of tightsandstone fracturing. An integrated model combining geological engineering and numerical simulat.on of fracturepropagat.on and product.on was completed. Based on data analysis, the hydraulic fracture parameters wereoptimized to develop a differentiated fracturing treatment adjustment plan. the results indicate that the influenceof geological and engineering factors in the X1 and X2 development zones in the study area differs ***, it is challenging to adopt a uniform development strategy to achieve rapid product.on increase. thedata analysis reveals that the variat.on in gas product.on rate is primarily affected by the reservoir thickness andpermeability parameters as geological factors. on the other hand, the amount.of treatment fluid and proppantaddit.on significantly impact the gas product.on rate as engineering factors. Among these factors, the influence ofgeological factors is more pronounced in block X1. therefore, the main focus should be on further optimizing thefracturing interval and adjusting the geological development well locat.on. Given the existing well locat.on, thereis limited potential for further optimizing fracture parameters to increase product.on. For block X2, the fracturingparameters should be optimized. Data screening was conducted to identify outliers in the entire dataset, and adata-driven fracturing parameter optimizat.on met.od was employed to determine the basic adjustment direct.onfor reservoir stimulat.on in the target block. this approach provides insights into the influence of geological,stimulat.on, and complet.on parameters on gas product.on rate. Emerging therapeutic met.ods represented by targeted therapy are effective supplements to tradit.onal first-line chemoradiotherapy *** epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)is one of the most important targets in targeted therapy for gastric *** combined with chemotherapy has been used as the first-line treatment for advanced gastric *** safety and efficacy of pertuzumab and margetuximab in the treatment.of gastric cancer have been ***,monoclonal antibodies,due to their large molecular weight,inability to penetrate the blood-brain barrier,and drug resistance,lead to decreased therapeutic efficacy,so it is necessary to explore the efficacy of other HER2-targeting therapies in gastric ***-molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitors,such as lapatinib and pyrrotinib,have the advantages of small molecular weight,penetrating the blood-brain barrier and high oral bioavailability,and are expected to become the drugs of choice for perioperative treatment and neoadjuvant therapy of gastric cancer after validat.on by large-scale clinical trials in the ***-drug conjugate,such as t-DM1 and t-DXd,can overcome the resistance of monoclonal antibodies despite their different mechanisms of tumor killing,and are a supplement for the treatment.of patients who have failed the treatment.of monoclonal antibodies such as ***,after more detailed stratificat.on of gastric cancer patients,various gastric cancer drugs targeting HER2 are expected to play a more significant role.

Increasing the planting density can exacerbate crop competit.on for water,nutrients and space which results in a decline in the crop ***,the effect.of increasing planting density on crop growth and soil biological characteristics in barren sandy land in the semi-arid regions are still *** this study,we investigated the effects of six planting densities(5.4×10^(4),6.45×10^(4),7.95×10^(4),9.5×10^(4),9.75×10^(4) and 10.5×10^(4) plants/hm^(2))on maize growth,photosynthesis characteristics,yield and soil biological characteristics in barren sandy soil in the semi-arid region of Ningxia,*** results indicated that the stem diameter and spike length decreased linearly with increasing planting *** plant height,spike weight,grain weight and 100-grain weight decreased with increasing plating ***,the root length increased with increasing planting *** diameter,volume and activity increased and then decreased with increasing planting *** was no significant difference(p>0.05)in the effect.of planting density on transpirat.on rate intercellular Co_(2) *** well,the soil microbial biomass carbon and microbial biomass nit.ogen decreased with increasing planting *** soil catalase activities increased and then decreased with increasing planting *** alkaline phosphatase activity,the amounts of soil bacteria and actinomycetes increased with increasing planting ***,a moderately increasing planting density can improve maize yield when water and nutrients are *** optimal planting density was 8.29×10^(4) plants/hm^(2) and the highest yield was 15.84 t/hm^(2) in barren sandy soil in semi-arid region of Ningxia,*** study provides a theoretical basis for high yield and high efficiency of maize.

oBJECtIVE: to investigate blood pressure rhythm(BPR)in Yin deficiency syndrome of hypertension(YDSH)patients and develop a random forest model for predicting ***: our study was consistent with technical processes and specificat.on for developing guidelines of Evidence-based Chinese medicine clinical practice(t/CACM 1032-2017). We enrolled 234 patients who had been diagnosed with primary hypertension wit.out antihypertensive medicat.ons prior to the enrollment. All participants were divided into Yin deficiency group(YX, n = 74) and non-Yin deficiency group(NYX, n = 160).Participants were professionally grouped by three experienced chief tradit.onal Chinese Medicine(tCM)physicians according to four examinat.ons(i.e.,inspect.on, listening and smelling, inquiry and palpat.on).We collected data on 24 h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring(ABPM) and YDSH rating scale. We divided 24 h of a day into 12 t.o-hour periods [Chen-Shi(7:00-9:00), Si-Shi(9:00-11:00), Wu-Shi(11:00-13:00), Wei-Shi(13:00-15:00), Shen-Shi(15:00-17:00), You-Shi(17:00-19:00), Xu-Shi(19:00-21:00), Hai-Shi(21:00-23:00), ZiShi(23:00-1:00), Chou-Shi(1:00-3:00), Yin-Shi(3:00-5:00), Mao-Shi(5:00-7:00)] according to the theory of “midnight-midday ebb flow”. We used random forest to build the diagnostic model of YDSH, with whether it was Yin deficiency syndrome as the out.ome. Background:toxoplasmic encephalitis(tE)is the most frequent cause of expansive brain lesions among patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS).However,the optimal timing of antiret.oviral therapy(ARt)initiat.on in these patients remains *** study aims to investigate the differences in out.omes of ARt initiat.on at different times,in order to help clarify the treatment timing of AIDS-associated ***:this multicenter prospective observat.onal study included 87 patients recruited from 11 research centers in China(from March 2019 to December 2022).of the patients,38 were assigned to the early ARt group(initiating ARt within 2 weeks after anti-toxoplasma treatment initiat.on),and the remaining 49 patients received deferred ARt(initiating ARt at least 2 weeks after anti-toxoplasma treatment initiat.on).the main out.omes includedmortality and emergence of immune reconstitut.on inflammatory syndrome(IRIS).Human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)-1 viral load and CD4^(+)t-cell counts at weeks 24 and 48 were ***:the number of deaths(1 vs.5,P=0.225)and incidence of IRIS(2.6%vs.0,P=0.437)were not significantly different between the early and deferred ARt groups at week *** ARt initiat.on did not contribute significantly to HIV-1 viral load cont.ol(opies/mL,n=8 vs.n=3 at week 24,P=0.142;n=7 vs.n=7 atweek 48,P=1.000).the median CD4^(+)t-cell counts between the t.o groups were not significantly different,either at week 24(155 vs.91 cells/mm^(3),P=0.837)or atweek 48(181 vs.146 cells/mm^(3),P=0.219).Conclusion:In patients with AIDS-associated tE,early ARt initiat.on was not significantly different from deferred ARt initiat.on in terms of incidence of mortality,IRIS,and HIV virological and immunological *** registrat.on:this study was registered(registrat.on number:ChiCtR1900021195)as one of 12 clinical trials under the title of a general project at the Chinese Clinical trial Registry(***)on February 1,***
