Electrocatalytic water splitting is crucial for H2generation via hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)but subject to the sluggish dynamics of oxygen evolution reaction(OER).In this work,single Fe atomdoped MoS_(2)nanosheets(SFe-DMNs)were prepared based on the high-throughput density functional theory(DFt)calculation *** to the synergistic effect between Fe atom and MoS_(2)and optimized intermediate binding energy,the SFe-DMNs could deliver outstanding activity for both HER and *** assembled into a two-electrode electrolytic cell,the SFe-DMNs could achieve the current density of 50 mA cm^(-2)at a low cell voltage of 1.55 V under neutral *** results not only confirmed the effectiveness of high-throughput screening,but also revealed the excellent activity and thus the potential applications in fuel cells of SFe-DMNs.

Crystal structure determines electrochemical energy storage characteristics;this is the underlying logic of material *** date,hundreds of electrode materials have been developed to pursue superior ***,it remains a great challenge to understand the fundamental structure–performance relationship and achieve quantitative crystal structure design for efficient energy *** this review,we introduce the concept of crystal packing factor(PF),which can quantify crystal packing *** then present and classify the typical crystal structures of attractive cathode/anode *** PF analyses of different materials,including polymorphs,isomorphs,and others,are performed to clarify the influence of crystal packing density on energy storage performance through electronic and ionic ***,the practical electronic/ionic conductivities of energy storage materials are based on their intrinsic characteristics related to the PF yet are also affected by extrinsic *** PF provides a novel avenue for understanding the electrochemical performance of pristine materials and may offer guidance on designing better *** approaches involve size regulation,doping,carbon additives,and other *** also propose extended PF concepts to understand charge storage and transport behavior at different ***,we provide our insights on the major challenges and prospective solutions in this highly exciting field.

With the explosion of sensory data in the Internet of things(Io t) era, conventional machine vision systems are becoming increasingly difficult to meet the requirements of high efficiency, low energy consumption, and low latency due to their inherent shortcomings of separate sensing, memory, and computing units. Inspired by the retina and neuromorphic computing, the sensing-memory-computing integrated vision system(SMCVS) that features low power consumption, low latency, and high parallelism has been considered a promising technology to surpass the von Neumann architecture and realize strong artificial ***, novel materials like two-dimensional semiconductors and quantum dots with novel optoelectronic performance provide hardware carriers for implementing integrated sensing-memory-computing architectures,attracting considerable attention. this paper reviews the recent research progress in bioinspired vision systems in terms of biomimetic mechanisms, design principles, computational architectures, and ***, the biomimetic mechanisms are illustrated to guide the design of high-performance artificial visual perception systems. then the research progress of optoelectronic-synapse-based bioinspired vision systems in the device principles and applications including image filtering, color recognition, visual adaptation, and motion detection are summarized. Finally, the challenges and future developing directions of the SMCVS are provided regarding bionic application, architecture design, and device fabrication.

the as-cast amorphous ti_(48)Zr_(27)Cu_(6)Nb_(5)Be_(14)composites,comprising in situ formedβ-ti ductile crystalline precipitates,were prepared by water cooled copper mold suction ***,the semi-solid composites were obtained after the as-cast composites were treated by semi-solid isothermal *** microstructure evolution and kinetics of the composites were *** show that the microstructures of both the as-cast and semi-solid composites comprise ofβ-ti crystal phases and amorphous matrix *** and after treatment,the crystals evolve from fine granular or fine dendritic crystals to coarse *** the treatment temperature increasing or the time prolonging,the average crystal size gradually increases and the surface morphology of the crystals gradually becomes *** studying the microstructural evolution and dynamics during the isothermal treatment process,it is found that the final morphology ofβ-ti crystals is influenced by the isothermal treatment temperature and time(t),and theβ-ti evolution rate increases with an increase in treatment *** addition,a linear relationship was observed between the size of cubicβ-ti crystals(D^(3))and t;the growth kinetics factor K is 3.8μm^(3)·s^(-1).As the K value closes to 4μm^(3)·s^(-1),it is inferred the morphology evolution ofβ-ti crystals is a coarsening behavior controlled by the diffusion of solute elements.

High-performance formaldehyde prediction for indoor air quality assessment using time series deep learning

Indoor air pollution resulting from volatile organic compounds(VOCs),especially formaldehyde,is a significant health concern needed to predict indoor formaldehyde concentration(Cf)in green intelligent building *** study develops a thermal and wet coupling calculation model of porous fabric to account for the migration of formaldehyde molecules in indoor air and cotton,silk,and polyester fabric with heat flux in Harbin,Beijing,Xi’an,Shanghai,Guangzhou,and Kunming,*** time-by-time indoor dry-bulb temperature(t),relative humidity(RH),and Cf,obtained from verified simulations,were collated and used as input data for the long short-term memory(LStM)of the deep learning model that predicts indoor multivariate time series Cf from the secondary source effects of indoor fabrics(adsorption and release of formaldehyde).the trained LStM model can be used to predict multivariate time series Cf at other emission times and *** LStM-based model also predicted Cf with mean absolute percentage error(MAPE),symmetric mean absolute percentage error(SMAPE),mean absolute error(MAE),mean square error(MSE),and root mean square error(RMSE)that fell within 10%,10%,0.5,0.5,and 0.8,*** addition,the characteristics of the input dataset,model parameters,the prediction accuracy of different indoor fabrics,and the uncertainty of the data set are *** results show that the prediction accuracy of single data set input is higher than that of temperature and humidity input,and the prediction accuracy of LStM is better than recurrent neural network(RNN).the method’s feasibility was established,and the study provides theoretical support for guiding indoor air pollution control measures and ensuring human health and safety.

BACKGROUND Peripheral vascular disease(PVD)is a common complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus(t2DM).Patients with t2DM have twice the risk of PVD as nondiabetic *** to evaluate left ventricular(LV)systolic function by layer-specific global longitudinal strain(GLS)and peak strain dispersion(PSD)in t2DM patients with and without *** Sixty-five t2DM patients without PVD,57 t2DM patients with PVD and 63 normal controls were enrolled in the ***-specific GLS[GLS of the epimyocardium(GLSepi),GLS of the middle myocardium(GLSmid)and GLS of the endocardium(GLSendo)]and PSD were *** operating characteristic(ROC)analysis was performed to calculate the sensitivity and specificity of LV systolic dysfunction in t2DM patients with *** calculated Pearson’s correlation coefficients between biochemical data,echocardiographic characteristics,and layer-specific GLS and *** there were significant differences in GLSepi,GLSmid and GLSendo between normal controls,t2DM patients without PVD and t2DM patients with PVD(Ptrend tests revealed a ranking of normal controls>t2DM patients without PVD>t2DM patients with PVD in the absolute value of GLS(Ptly between the three groups,and the trend ranking was as follows:normal controlst2DM patients without PVDt2DM patients with PVD(Pthat the combination of layer-specific GLS and PSD had high diagnostic efficiency for detecting LV systolic dysfunction in t2DM patients with *** lipoprotein cholesterol was positively correlated with GLSepi,GLSmid and PSD(Ption fraction was negatively correlated with GLSepi,GLSmid and GLSendo in t2DM patients with PVD(Pte the deterioration of LV systolic dysfunction in t2DM ***-specific GLS and PSD can be used to detect LV systolic dysfunction accurately and conveniently in t2DM patients with or without PVD.

Organic donor-acceptor semiconductors exhibit great potential in photothermal ***,it is still challenging to achieve pure organic materials with broad absorption comparable with inorganic materials such as ***,two D-AD type DPA-Bt-O4 and NDI-tPA-O4 and three D-A-π-A-D type th-O4,th2-O4,and IDt-O4 were readily prepared via two high-yield steps and simple air *** stability can be attributed to their multiple resonance structures based on the aromatic nitric acid radical *** with the D-A-D radicals,the conjugation extension of the D-A-π-A-D radicals endows them with a narrowed band gap and broad absorption in ***,the IDt-O4 powder with aggregation-induced radical effect exhibits broad absorption between 300 and 2500 nm,which is comparable with graphene and other inorganic *** irradiation of 0.9 W/cm^(2)(808 nm),the temperature of IDt-O4 powder rises to 250℃within 60 *** water evaporation conversion efficiency of 94.38%and an evaporation rate of 1.365 kg/m^(2)h^(−1)under one sun illumination were ***-O4 stands as one of the most efficient photothermal conversion materials among pure organic materials via a rational design strategy.

During emergency evacuation, it is crucial to accurately detect and classify different groups of evacuees based on their behaviours using computer vision. traditional object detection models trained on standard image databases often fail to recognise individuals in specific groups such as the elderly, disabled individuals and pregnant women, who require additional assistance during emergencies. to address this limitation, this study proposes a novel image dataset called the Human Behaviour Detection Dataset (HBDset), specifically collected and annotated for public safety and emergency response purposes. this dataset contains eight types of human behaviour categories, i.e. the normal adult, child, holding a crutch, holding a baby, using a wheelchair, pregnant woman, lugging luggage and using a mobile phone. the dataset comprises more than 1,500 images collected from various public scenarios, with more than 2,900 bounding box annotations. the images were carefully selected, cleaned and subsequently manually annotated using the LabelImg tool. to demonstrate the effectiveness of the dataset, classical object detection algorithms were trained and tested based on the HBDset, and the average detection accuracy exceeds 90 %, highlighting the robustness and universality of the dataset. the developed open HBDset has the potential to enhance public safety, provide early disaster warnings and prioritise the needs of vulnerable individuals during emergency evacuation.

Plant antifreeze proteins(AFPs)are special proteins that can protect plant cells from ice crystal damage in low-temperature environments,and they play a crucial role in the process of plants adapting to cold *** with these characteristics have been found inﬁsh living in cold regions,as well as many plants and *** research on plant AFPs started relatively late,their application prospects are broad,leading to the attention of many researchers to the isolation,cloning,and genetic improvement of plant AFP *** have found that the distribution of AFPs in different species seems to be the result of independent evolu-tionary *** the AFPs found inﬁsh and insects,plant AFPs have multiple hydrophilic ice-binding domains,and their recrystallization inhibition activity is about 10–100 times that ofﬁsh and insect *** different plant AFPs have the characteristics of low tH and high RI,their DNA and amino acid sequences are completely different,with small *** in-depth research and analysis of the character-istics and mechanisms of plant AFPs,not only has our understanding of plant antifreeze mechanisms been enriched,but it can also be used to improve crop varieties and enhance their freezing tolerance,yield,and quality through genetic *** addition,the study of plant AFPs also contributes to our understanding of freezing resistance mechanisms in other organisms and provides new research directions for theﬁeld of ***,based on the analysis of relevant literature,this article will delve into the concepts,character-istics,research methods,and mechanisms of plant AFPs,summarize the latest research progress and application prospects of AFPs in plant,and provide prospects for the future development of AFP gene research.
