In the present study, ozone was introduced as an alternative approach to harvest and disrupt microalgae cells (chlorella vulgaris) simultaneously for biodiesel production. At the optimum ozonation conditions (6.14 g·h^(−1) ozone concentration, 30 min ozonation time, 1 L·min^(−1) of ozone flowrate at medium pH of 10 and temperature of 30℃), the sedimentation efficiency of microalgae cells increased significantly from 12.56% to 68.62%. It was observed that the microalgae cells aggregated to form flocs after pretreated with ozone due to the increment of surface charge from −20 to −6.59 mV. Besides, ozone had successfully disrupted the microalgae cells and resulted in efficient lipid extraction, which was 1.9 times higher than the control sample. the extracted microalgae lipid was mainly consisted of methyl palmitate (c16:0), methyl oleate (c18:1) and methyl linolenate (c18:3), making it suitable for biodiesel production. Finally, utilization of recycled culture media after ozonation pre-treatment showed robust growth of microalgae, in which the biomass yield was maintained in the range of 0.796 to 0.879 g ·h^(−1) for 5 cycles of cultivation.

青藏高原东南部众多封闭小湖的湖相沉积记录着重要的地理信息 ,是恢复当地晚更新世以来古环境演变的理想材料。西藏海登湖和仁错高分辨率的花粉组合 ,AMS1 4 c测年及磁化率和有机质含量测定 ,揭示了研究区与印度季风密切相关的古植被 ,古气候和古水文变化历史。高分辨率的花粉记录反映 ,在 1 6 ka B.P.以前花粉组合以藜科 (chenopodiaceae)和蒿属 (Artemisia)为主 ,花粉浓度很低 ,应为荒漠草原植被。当时气候寒冷干燥 ,1月、7月和年均温分别低于现在当地 7- 1 0℃ ,0 .5- 1 .5℃和 4- 6℃。年降水量仅 2 50 mm是现今当地年降水量的 40 % ,湖面较低 ;1 4 - 1 2 .5ka B.P.西南季风较弱 ,为低湖面期 ,气候仍寒冷较干 ,发育草原植被。 1 2 .5ka B.P.气温和降水明显增高 ,以后气温和降水逐渐增加 ,出现木本植物花粉 ,桦属 (Betula)和松属 (Pi-nus)等 ,在 9.2 - 5 ka B.P.发育森林或森林草甸 ;8- 5 ka B.P.是研究区气候最适宜期 ,1月、7月气温均高于现在 2 - 3℃ ,年降水量比现在当地高 1 0 0 mm左右 ;5ka B.P.以后气温和降水呈非线性下降 ,主要发育草原植被 ,直至现在。

Background: Some evidence has shown that the prevalence of hypoactive sexual desire and erectile dysfunction (ED) is associated with testosterone levels whilst higher levels of testosterone have been reported to increase the frequency of intercourse. Available evidence points towards an etiologic role for hypogonadism in the causation of diabetes, metabolic syndrome (Mets) and sexual dysfunction (SD) even though the exact pathophysiological linkage is yet to be fully elucidated. this study therefore sought to evaluate the impact of testosterone as well as its bioactive components on both the MetS and SD. Method: Diabetic men engaged in a stable heterosexual relationship for at least 2 years were recruited for this study. Participants were at least 18 years and provided an informed and signed consent to partake in this study. Fasting blood samples were taken from the participants for biochemical and hormonal assay. the participants were then evaluated using the Golombok Rust Inventory of Sexual Satisfaction for males (GRISS-M). Metabolic syndrome was assessed using the NcEP-AtP III, IDF and WHO criteria. All data analyses were performed using the SPSS software, version 11.0 systat, Inc. Germany and GraphPad Prism, version 5.0, San Diego california, USA. Results: the mean total, free and bioavailable testosterone as well as SHBG recorded among the participants was 7.10 ± 1.23 ng/ml, 0.10 ± 0.01 ng/ml, 7.01 ± 1.41 ng/ml and 4.33 ± 1.12 nmol/l respectively. Subjects with the MetS showed significantly lower SHBG levels in comparison with subjects without the MetS. Participants with raised triglyceride levels showed significantly lower levels of total, free and bioavailable testosterone when compared to participant without raised triglycerides. Participants with problems of avoidance and infrequency of sexual activity showed significantly lower levels of total, free and bioavailable testosterone when compared to participants without avoidance or infrequency problems. the

We present a single-item, single-period model in a 3-tier supply chain. At the start of the period, the retailer decides on a joint ordering and pricing policy (Q, p), where Q is the order quantity, and p is the retail price. At the end of the period, the unsold units have unit salvage value of w (w ≤ w) . Demand rate is deterministic and price-elastic= α p-ε . the decision depends on the elasticity of demand, the wholesale price w1, the fixed ordering cost K, the inventory holding cost h, and the unit salvaged value w. the duration of the period = 1. the vendor may offer a discounted price during this period. the arrival time of this discount offer is an exponentially-distributed random variable t with expected value τ≤ 1 . Given the discounted wholesale price w(w the inventory level X at time t, the retailer will decide on a joint reordering and pricing policy (s,Q,p), where Q is the order quantity at the discounted wholesale price, and p is the discounted retail price. the variable s is the threshold of ordering, i.e., the retailer will not order if the inventory level Xt is above s. this paper also proposes how the vendor should compensate the retailer, to encourage the retailer to peruse the vendor-retailer joint optimization model. this paper examines the following scenarios:

In recent years, there has been mounting interest i n measuring process performance in manufacturing industry. Based on analyzing the process capability indices, a production department can trace and improve a poor process to enhance quality levels and satisfy customers. the process capabilit y analysis can also serve as an important reference for making decisions for imp roving the global quality of all products. Since c p and c pk are failed to account for process centering, the index c pm is developed. the index c pm takes the process centering into consideration and is su itable for the processes with nominal-the-best type. there are other indices l ike c pu and c pl, and those indices are used for unilateral s pecification processes. chou (1994) developed a procedure using estimators of c p, c pu and c pl for practitioners to determine whether two p rocesses are equal capability or not. For bilateral specifications processes, i ndex c p is failed to measure process yield and process centering. thus, th e index c pm is used to develop a similar procedure for practitioners t o determine whether two processes are equal capability or not. the decisions mad e using the procedure to select the better supplier are, of course, more reliabl e.
