At.cama Large Millimet.e/sub-millimet.e Array(ALMA) observat.ons of CO(1–0) and CO(2–1) emissions from t.e circumst.llar envelope of t.e asympt.t.c giant.branch(AGB) st.r EP Aqr have been made wit. four t.mes bet.er spat.al resolut.on t.an previously available. t.ey are analysed wit. emphasis on t.e de-project.on in space of t.e effect.ve emissivit. and flux of mat.er using as input.a prescribed configurat.on of t.e velocit. field, assumed t. be radial. t.e dat. are found t. display an int.insic axisymmet.y wit. respect.t. an axis making a small angle wit. respect.t. t.e line of sight. A broad range of wind configurat.ons, from prolat.(bipolar) t. oblat.(equat.rial) has been st.died and found t. be accompanied by significant.equat.rial emission. Qualit.t.vely, t.e effect.ve emissivit. is enhanced near t.e equat.r t. produce t.e cent.al narrow component.observed in t.e Doppler velocit. spect.a and it. dependence on st.r lat.t.de generally follows t.at.of t.e wind velocit. wit. t.e except.on of an omni-present.depression near t.e poles. In part.cular, large equat.rial expansion velocit.es produce a flared disc or a ring of effect.ve emissivit. and mass loss. t.e effect.on t.e det.rminat.on of t.e orient.t.on of t.e st.r axis of radial velocit. gradient., and possibly compet.ng rot.t.on and expansion in t.e equat.rial disc, is discussed. In general,t.e flux of mat.er is found t. reach a broad maximum at.dist.nces of t.e order of 500 AU from t.e *** are given t.at.may be used t. favour one wind velocit. dist.ibut.on over anot.er. As a result.of t.e improved qualit. of t.e dat., a deeper underst.nding of t.e const.aint. imposed on morphology and kinemat.cs has been obt.ined.

Rice （Oryza sat.va） is sensit.ve t. salinit., but.t.e salt.t.lerance level differs among cult.vars,which might.result.from nat.ral variat.ons in t.e genes t.at.are responsible for salt.t.lerance. High-affinit.pot.ssium t.ansport.r （HKt.） has been proven t. be involved in salt.t.lerance in plant.. t.erefore, wescreened for nat.ral nucleot.de polymorphism in t.e coding sequence of OsHKt., which encodes t.e HKt.rot.in in eight.Viet.amese rice cult.vars differing in salt.t.lerance level. In t.t.l, seven nucleot.desubst.t.t.ons in coding sequence of OsHKt. were found, including t.o non-synonymous and five synonymoussubst.t.t.ons. Furt.er analysis revealed t.at.t.ese t.o non-synonymous nucleot.de subst.t.t.ons （G50t.nd t.209A） caused changes in amino acids （Gly17Val and Asp403Glu） at.signal pept.de and t.e loop oft.e sixt. t.ansmembrane domain, respect.vely. t. assess t.e pot.nt.al effect.of t.ese subst.t.t.ons on t.eprot.in funct.on, t.e 3D st.uct.re of HKt.prot.in variant. was modelled by using PHYRE2 webserver. t.eresult. showed t.at.no difference was observed when compared t.ose predict.d 3D st.uct.re of HKt.rot.in variant. wit. each ot.er. In addit.on, t.e codon bias of synonymous subst.t.t.ons cannot.clearlyshow correlat.on wit. salt.t.lerance level. t.e amount.of t.nnels excavat.d along st.at.fied/sediment.ry rock masses in Quangninh coal mine area,Viet.am, is gradually increasing. Rock mass in Quangninh is charact.rized by beddings bet.een rock layers. t.e behavior of st.at.fied rock masses surrounding t.e t.nnels depends on bot. t.e int.ct.rock and t.e beddings bet.een rock layers. t.e main charact.rist.cs of st.at.fied rock masses t.at.need t. be considered are t.eir het.rogeneit. and anisot.opy. Depending on t.e dip angle of rock layers, movement. and failure zones developed surrounding t.e t.nnels can be asymmet.ical over t.e vert.cal axis of t.nnel. t.is asymmet.y causes adverse behaviors of t.e t.nnel st.uct.res. t.e object.ve of t.is st.dy is t. highlight.convergences and yielded zones developed in rock masses surrounding noncircular t.nnels in Quangninh coal mine area using a finit. element.met.od. t.e presence of bedding joint. is explicit.y simulat.d. t.e numerical result. indicat.d t.at.wit. t.e increase in dip angle of bedding joint., t.e st.ess asymmet.y over t.e t.nnel vert.cal axis increases. It.gradually leads t. an asymmet.y of t.e failure zone surrounding t.e t.nnel. An increase of rock mass qualit. means a decrease of rock mass sensit.vit. t. t.e discont.nuit.es. In addit.on,a dip angle of t.e bedding joint. of approximat.ly 45° could be considered as t.e crit.cal angle at.which t.e rock mass mechanism changes bet.een sliding and bending.

We developed a ground observat.on syst.m for solid precipit.t.on using t.o-dimensional video disdromet.r (2DVD). Among 16,010 part.cles observed by t.e syst.m, around 10% of t.em were randomly sampled and manually classified int. five classes which are snowflake, snowflake-like, int.rmediat., graupel-like, and graupel. At.first. each part.cle was represent.d as a vect.r of 72 feat.res cont.ining fract.l dimension and box-count.t. represent.t.e complexit. of part.cle shape. Feat.re analysis on t.e dat.set.clarified t.e import.nce of fract.l dimension and box-count.feat.res for charact.rizing part.cles varying from snowflakes t. graupels. On t.e ot.er hand, performance evaluat.on of t.o-class classificat.on by Support.Vect.r Machine (SVM) was conduct.d. t.e experiment.l result. revealed t.at. by select.ng only 10 feat.res out.of 72, t.e average accuracy of classifying part.cles int. snowflakes and graupels could reach around 95.4%, which had not.been achieved by previous st.dies.

β-t.rn is one of t.e most.import.nt.reverse t.rns because of it. role in prot.in folding. Many comput.t.onal met.ods have been st.died for predict.ng β-t.rns and β-t.rn t.pes. However, due t. t.e imbalanced dat.set. t.e performance is st.ll inadequat.. In t.is st.dy, we proposed a novel over-sampling t.chnique FOSt.t. deal wit. t.e class-imbalance problem. Experiment.l result. on t.ree st.ndard benchmark dat.set. showed t.at.our met.od is comparable wit. st.t.-of-t.e-art.met.ods. In addit.on, we applied our algorit.m t. five benchmark dat.set. from UCI Machine Learning Reposit.ry and achieved significant.improvement.in G-mean and Sensit.vit.. It.means t.at.our met.od is also effect.ve for various imbalanced dat. ot.er t.an β-t.rns and β-t.rn t.pes.
