the objective of this study consisted of evaluating the effect of the application of chitosan(Q),1-methylcyclopropene(1-MCP)under two controlled temperatures on some physical,physiological,and chemical parameters contributing to the quality of Persian lime Citrus latifolia *** treatments were evaluated,resulting from the combination of four senescence retardant applications(Q,1-MCP,1-MCP+Q,and without application)on fruits stored at two temperatures(12/20℃.Epidermis color(luminosity,chromaticity,and hue),fruit appearance,respiration,weight loss,total juice content,total soluble solids,and titratable acidity were registered during the *** results indicate that the 1-MCP and Q combination favored fruit postharvest quality conditions such as reducing respiration rate;maintaining fruit good appearance,turgidity,and brighter fruit chromaticity;fruits treated with chitosan and stored at 12℃,favored total soluble *** the other hand,Variables such as weight loss,juice content,acidity,phenols,flavonoids,antioxidant activity,and hue values were favored by a 12℃ storing temperature regardless of the *** general,the use of modified atmospheres,senescence retardants,and refrigeration as postharvest methods,can increase Persian lime shelf life.

independent microstructures made of Ni metal were fabricated by fivesequential processes: porous anodic oxide film formation, pore sealing, laser irradiation, Nielectroplating, and removal of the aluminum substrate and anodic oxide films. Aluminum plates androds were anodized in an oxalic acid solution to form porous type anodic oxide films, and thenimmersed in boiling distilled water for pore sealing. the anodized and pore-sealed specimens wereirradiated with a pulsed neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd-YAG) laser beam in a Ni platingsolution to remove anodic oxide film locally by rotating and moving up i down with anXYZ(theta)-stage. Nickel was deposited at the area where film had been removed by cathodicpolarization in the solution before removing the aluminum substrate and anodic oxide films in NaOHsolutions. Cylindrical or plain network structures were fabricated successfully.

Global salty snacks category had reached USD 137 billion in sales in *** to growing health concerns and awareness,consumers are looking for healthy snack choices by avoiding ingredients such as fat,sugar,cholesterol,and sodium and selecting baked and salt free multigrain chips.A sizable number of consumers are concerned about snack nutrition and look for quality ingredients and minimally processed foods called as“Good Health Snack(GHS)”.in this work,we present the development of method of producing and testing mushrooms protein crisps(MPC),a healthy alternative to conventional starchy snacks that are rich in protein,nutraceutical compounds,minerals,vitamin,dietary fiber,and immunity inducing *** methods of producing MPC with different seasoning and hydrolyzed protein,calorie,nutritional and chemical composition,consumer response,shelf life after packing and market analysis are *** systematic studies will help to market potential of this product which is a healthy alternative to other calorie rich snacks sold in the market benefiting the consumers.

Chronic infection with Helicobacter pylori cagA-positive strains is the strongest risk factor for gastric *** cagA gene product,CagA,is delivered into gastric epithelial cells via the bacterial type iV secretion *** CagA then undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation at the Glu-Pro-ile-tyr-Ala(EPiYA)motifs in its C-terminal region and acts as an oncogenic scaffold protein that physically interacts with multiple host signaling proteins in both tyrosine phosphorylation-dependent and-independent *** of CagA using in vitro cultured gastric epithelial cells has indicated that the nonphysiological scaffolding actions of CagA cell-autonomously promote the malignant transformation of the cells by endowing the cells with multiple phenotypic cancer hallmarks:sustained proliferation,evasion of growth suppressors,invasiveness,resistance to cell death,and genomic *** expression of CagA in mice leads to in vivo oncogenic action of CagA without any overt *** in vivo oncogenic activity of CagA is further potentiated in the presence of chronic *** Helicobacter pylori infection triggers a proinflammatory response in host cells,a feedforward stimulation loop that augments the oncogenic actions of CagA and inflammation is created in CagA-injected gastric *** that Helicobacter pylori is no longer colonized in established gastric cancer lesions,the multistep nature of gastric cancer development should include a“hit-and-run”process of CagA ***,acquisition of genetic and epigenetic alterations that compensate for CagA-directed cancer hallmarks may be required for completion of the“hit-and-run”process of gastric carcinogenesis.

Charged ferroelectric domain walls are fascinating electrical topological defects that can exhibit unusual ***,in the search for novel phenomena,we perform and analyze first-principles calculations to investigate the effect of domain width on properties of domains with charged walls in the photovoltaic material consisting of methylammonium lead iodide hybrid *** report that such domains are stable and have rather low domain wall energy for any investigated width(that is,up to 13 lattice constants).increasing the domain width first linearly decreases the electronic band gap from≃1.4 eV to about zero(which therefore provides an efficient band-gap engineering),before the system undergoes an insulator-to-metal transition and then remains metallic(with both the tail-to-tail and head-to-head domain walls being conductive)for the largest *** these results can be understood in terms of:(i)components of polarization along the normal of the domain walls being small in magnitude;(ii)an internal electric field that is basically independent of the domain width;and(iii)rather negligible charge transfer between *** findings deepen the knowledge of charged ferroelectric domain walls and can further broaden their potential for applications,particularly in the context of halide perovskites for photovoltaics.

this paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. the influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. to depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAM).the effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the Schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the Schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.

We investigate the magnetic properties of Co-doped Cu_2O. We studied first the electronic and structural properties of Cu_2O using the optimization of the lattice constant which is 4.18 . the calculated gap is found between 0.825 eV and1.5 eV, these values are in good agreement with the experimental results. the Co atoms are inserted in Cu_2O by means of the density functional theory（DFt） using LSDA, LSDA ＋U, and LSDA ＋ MBJ approximations in the WiEN2 k code, based on the supercell model by setting up 12, 24, and 48 atoms in（1×1 × 2）,（1 × 2 × 2）, and（2 × 2×2） supercells respectively with one or two copper atoms being replaced by cobalt atoms. the energy difference between the ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic coupling of the spins located on the substitute Co has been calculated in order to obtain better insight into the magnetic exchange coupling for this particular compound. the studied compound exhibits stable integer magnetic moments of 2 μBand 4 μBwhen it is doped with 2 atoms of Co. Optical properties have also been worked out. the results obtained in this study demonstrate the importance of the magnetic effect in Cu_2O.

A method for reducing the damage to a structure caused by an earthquake namely,using laminated rubber for seismic isolation is proposed,and the vibration characteristics of the rubber(which minimizes the seismic response of the structure during an earthquake)is optimized.A method called“Equivalent Linear System using Restoring Force Model of Power Function type”(PFt-ELS)is applied to nonlinear vibration analysis of the *** that analysis,a building with 15 layers of the laminated rubber is *** seismic response of the building is analyzed,and the usefulness of the laminated rubber is demonstrated by comparing the seismic responses in the cases with and without the laminated *** addition,the hysteresis restoring-force characteristic of the laminated rubber,which minimizes the seismic response of the building,was optimized by using a genetic algorithm(GA).Based on these results,the optimum restoring-force characteristic for different earthquakes was *** a result,it was clarified that the developed optimization method can determine the vibration characteristics of the laminated rubber for minimizing the damage to the structure in the design phase.

Cobalt isopropyl xanthate thin films （CXtFs） were deposited via chemical bath deposition onto different substrates：commercial glass （CG）, indium tin oxide （itO）, and poly（methyl methacrylate）（PMM）. isopropyl xanthate was synthesized according to a method described in the literature. the cobalt nitrate and isopropyl xanthate were mixed in a beaker, which allowed the thin films to be deposited via a simple ion-ion mechanism. the transmission, reflectivity, refractive index, dielectric constant, and optical conductivity were investigated for various thin films coated onto different substrates. An ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer was used to measure the optical properties of the thin films. the lowest value of the transmission and the highest value of the refractive index were observed for the thin films deposited onto PMM. the structure of the cobalt xanthate was characterized by Fourier transform infrared （FtiR） spectroscopy, which was measured using a Perkin-Elmer Spectrum 400 spectrometer. the stretching vibration of the Co-S bonds was observed at 359 cm^-1 in the FtiR spectrum of the CXtFs.
