Characterization of bright betatron radiation generated by direct laser acceleration of electrons in plasma of near critical density

Directed x-rays produced in the interaction of sub-picosecond laser pulses of moderate relativistic intensity with plasma of near-critical density are investigated. Synchrotron-like (betatron) radiation occurs in the process of direct laser acceleration (DLA) of electrons in a relativisticlaser channel when the electrons undergo transverse betatron oscillations in self-generated quasi-static electric and magnetic fields. In anexperiment at the PHeLIX laser system, high-current directed beams of DLA electrons with a mean energy ten times higher than the ponderomotive potential and maximum energy up to 100 MeV were measured at 10^(19) W/cm^(2)laser intensity. The spectrum of directed x-raysin the range of 5–60 keV was evaluated using two sets of Ross filters placed at 0°and 10°to the laser pulse propagation axis. The differential x-ray absorption method allowed for absolute measurements of the angular-dependent photon fluence. We report 10^(13) photons/sr withenergies >5 keV measured at 0°to the laser axis and a brilliance of 10^(21) photons s^(−1) mm^(−2) mrad−2(0.1%BW)−1. The angular distributionof the emission has an FWHM of 14°–16°. Thanks to the ultra-high photon fluence, point-like radiation source, and ultra-short emissiontime, DLA-based keV backlighters are promising for various applications in high-energy-density research with kilojoule petawatt-class laserfacilities.

Cooperative game penetration guidance for multiple hypersonic vehicles under safety critical framework

A new Method for Solving nonlinear Partial Differential equations Based on Liquid Time-Constant networks

In this paper,physics-informed liquid networks(PILns)are proposed based on liquid time-constant networks(LTC)for solving nonlinear partial differential equations(PDes).In this approach,the network state is controlled via ordinary differential equations(ODes).The significant advantage is that neurons controlled by ODes are more expressive compared to simple activation *** addition,the PILns use difference schemes instead of automatic differentiation to construct the residuals of PDes,which avoid information loss in the neighborhood of sampling *** this method draws on both the traveling wave method and physics-informed neural networks(PInns),it has a better physical ***,the KdV equation and the nonlinear Schr¨odinger equation are solved to test the generalization ability of the *** the best of the authors’knowledge,this is the first deep learning method that uses ODes to simulate the numerical solutions of PDes.

Physics-Informed neural networks with Two Weighted Loss Function Methods for Interactions of Two-Dimensional Oceanic Internal Solitary Waves

The multiple patterns of internal solitary wave interactions(ISWI)are a complex oceanic *** remote sensing techniques indirectly detect these ISWI,but do not provide information on their detailed structure and ***,the authors considered a three-layer fluid with shear flow and developed a(2+1)Kadomtsev-Petviashvili(KP)model that is capable of describing five types of oceanic ISWI,including O-type,P-type,TO-type,TP-type,and *** learning models,particularly physics-informed neural networks(PInn),are widely used in the field of fluids and internal solitary ***,the authors find that the amplitude of internal solitary waves is much smaller than the wavelength and the ISWI occur at relatively large spatial scales,and these characteristics lead to an imbalance in the loss function of the PInn *** solve this problem,the authors introduce two weighted loss function methods,the fixed weighing and the adaptive weighting methods,to improve the PInn *** successfully simulated the detailed structure and dynamics of ISWI,with simulation results corresponding to the satellite *** particular,the adaptive weighting method can automatically update the weights of different terms in the loss function and outperforms the fixed weighting method in terms of generalization ability.

Particles attrition of binary mixtures in the coal-fueled chemical looping system based on fluidized bed

In this work,a reactive air jet attrition device with auto-recording and collection of elutriated fines was *** established insights into the physiochemical interaction and further correlated attrition behaviors between char and oxygen carriers under various operation *** attrition rate increased by over 110% upon the introduced CO_(2),which brought in the significant effect of thermo-chemical stress,similarly in effects of the increased char addition ratio and the decreased sizes of char or hematite in different *** the char-hematite co-attrition process,the elutriated carbon loss of char with poor mechanical strength was found to be over 10%,while the reactive iron loss of hematite was found to be 6.3%,and was enriched in elutriated *** reaction-derived thermochemical stress and the collision-derived mechanical stress jointly controls the particle attrition during the cyclic transformation of oxygen carrier particles in coal-fueled chemical looping fluidization,especially sig-nificant in its reduction stage.

Tetraethylenepentamine-functionalized magnetic mesoporous composites as a novel adsorbent for the removal Cr(Ⅲ)-ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid in complex solution

A novel tetraethylenepentamine(TePA) functionalized magnetic mesoporous silica adsorbent(FnMs/TePA) was prepared for the adsorption of Cr(Ⅲ)-ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(eDTA)from wastewater. The characterization of the prepared adsorbent certified that TePA was modified onto the magnetic mesoporous silicon(FnMs), while FnMs/TePA maintained the ordered mesoporous and pristine magnetic properties. The batch adsorption experiments demonstrated that TePA significantly enhanced the removal capacity of the adsorbent for Cr(Ⅲ)-eDTA. FnMs/TePA exhibited an excellent adsorption property(13.84 mg·g-1) at p H 4.0. even in the presence of high concentrations of coexisting ions and organic acids, the adsorption performance of FnMs/TePA was stable. experimental characterization and DFT demonstrated that the adsorption of Cr(Ⅲ)-eDTA was ascribed to the electrostatic interaction, hydrogen bonding, and complexation between Cr(Ⅲ)-eDTA and amino groups on the adsorbent surface. The analysis of the independent gradient model(IGM) shows that electrostatic interaction is the main mode of action in the adsorption process. Moreover, FnMs/TePA demonstrated remarkable reusability in three regeneration cycles. These findings indicated that FnMs/TePA possessed excellent application prospects in the disposal of wastewater containing Cr(Ⅲ)-eDTA.

This article analyzes the transmission line characteristics of plasmonic hybrid metal insulator metal(HMIM) wave-guide, circular ring resonator(CRR) based dual-band band-pass filters with two transmission poles in both pass-bands in the optical regime using coupled line feed. The transmission line characteristics of an HMIM waveguide, such as characteristic impedance(Z_(PV)), effective refractive index(n_(eff)) and propagation length(L_(spp)), have been obtained by using full wave simulation.

estimates of net primary productivity and actual evapotranspiration over the Tibetan Plateau from the Community Land Model version 4.5 with four atmospheric forcing datasets

The accuracy of the simulation of carbon and water processes largely relies on the selection of atmospheric forcing datasets when driving land surface models(LSM).Particularly in high-altitude regions,choosing appropriate atmospheric forcing datasets can effectively reduce uncertainties in the LSM ***,this study conducted four offline LSM simulations over the Tibetan Plateau(TP)using the Community Land Model version 4.5(CLM4.5)driven by four state-of-the-art atmospheric forcing *** performances of CRUnCeP(CLM4.5 model default)and three other reanalysis-based atmospheric forcing datasets(***,GSWP3 and WFDeI)in simulating the net primary productivity(nPP)and actual evapotranspiration(eT)were evaluated based on in situ and gridded reference *** with in situ observations,simulated results exhibited determination coefficients(R2)ranging from 0.58 to 0.84 and 0.59 to 0.87 for observed nPP and eT,respectively,among which GSWP3 and ITPCAS showed superior *** the plateau level,CRUnCeP-based simulations displayed the largest bias compared with the reference nPP and ***3-based simulations demonstrated the best performance when comprehensively considering both the magnitudes and change trends of TP-averaged nPP and *** simulated eT increase over the TP during 1982-2010 based on ITPCAS was significantly greater than in the other three simulations and reference eT,suggesting that ITPCAS may not be appropriate for studying long-term eT changes over the *** results suggest that GSWP3 is recommended for driving CLM4.5 in conducting long-term carbon and water processes simulations over the *** study contributes to enhancing the accuracy of LSM in water-carbon simulations over alpine regions.
