Tunable Synthesis of Core-shell a-Fe2O3/TiO2 Composite Nanoparticles and Their Visible-light Photocatalytic Activity

Uniform a-Fe203/amorphous TiO2 core-shell nanocomposites were prepared via a hydrolysis method anda-Fe2OJanatase TiO2 core-shell nanocomposites were obtained via a post-calcination process. The structure andmorphology of the products were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Amorphous TiO2 nanoparticles with diametersof ten to several tens nanometer were formed on the surface of a-Fe203 nanoparticles and the coverage density of thesecondary TiO2 nanoparticles in the composite can be controlled by varying the concentration of Ti（BuO）4 m theethanol solution. The visible-light photocatalytic properties of different products towards Rhodamine B（RhB） wereinvestigated. The results show that the a-Fe203/amorphous TiO2 exhibits a good photocatalytic property owing to theextension of the light response range to visible light and the efficient separation of photogenerated electrons and holesbetween a-Fe203 and amorphous TiO2.

Artificial breeding is an important project to protect,recover and reintroduce endangered *** of the population's genetic diversity at functional loci is important for the establishment of effective captive breeding *** major histocompatibility complex(MHC) genes are ideal candidate genetic markers to inform planned breeding,due to their high levels of polymorphism and importance in the main immune coding region of the vertebrate *** this study,we constructed BAC-based contigs and isolated six functional MHC class Ⅰ genes from the giant panda(Ailuropoda melanoleuca),which we designated Aime-C,Aime-F,Aime-I,Aime-K,Aime-L and *** of the tissue expression patterns and full-length cDNA sequences of these class I genes revealed that Aime-C,-F,-I and-L could be considered classical class Ⅰ loci,due to their extensive expression patterns and normal exonic *** contrast,Aime-K and-1906 appeared to be nonclassical genes based on their tissue-specific expression patterns and the presence of an abnormal exon 7 in both *** established techniques for genotyping exons 2 and 3 of the classical loci using locus-specific single strand conformation polymorphism(SSCP) and sequence *** the Chengdu captive population,we identified one monomorphic locus(Aime-F) and three polymorphic loci with different numbers of alleles(4/4/4 exon 2 alleles at Aime-C/I/L and 6/5/5 exon 3 alleles at Aime-C/I/L).The distributions of the Aime-C,-I and-L alleles among members of different families were in good agreement with the known pedigree relationships,suggesting that the genotyping results are ***,the MHC-I genotyping techniques established in this study may provide a powerful tool for the future design of scientific breeding or release/reintroduction programs.

Recently, much special attention has been focused on the development of amphiphilic ***, a reduction-sensitive stearic acid grafted-Bletilla striata polysaccharide copolymer（BSP-ss-SA）was synthesized and characterized. BSP-ss-SA copolymer could spontaneously form micelles with an average particle size of（106 ？ 4.36） nm. Particle sizes were dramatically larger under 10 mmol/L dithiothreitol（DTT） than that in absence of 10 mmol/L DTT. Docetaxel loading content and encapsulation efficiency of micelles were 5.94 wt% and 72.75 wt%, respectively. The docetaxel release rate in vitro in micelles could be remarkably accelerated in pH 7.4 phosphate buffer solution（PBS） containing 10 mmol/L DTT compared with that of micelles（0 mmol/L DTT）. Furthermore, MTT results demonstrated the anticancer activities in vitro of docetaxel-loaded BSP-ss-SA micelles on HepG2 were superior to that of docetaxel injection. BSP-ss-SA copolymer might be a promising nanocarrier for cancer chemotherapy drugs.

The immune checkpoint blockade therapy has profoundly revolutionized the field of cancer immunotherapy. However, despite great promise for a variety of cancers, the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors is still low in colorectal cancer(CRC). This is mainly due to the immunosuppressive feature of the tumor microenvironment(TME). Emerging evidence reveals that certain chemotherapeutic drugs induce immunogenic cell death(ICD), demonstrating great potential for remodeling the immunosuppressive TME. In this study, the potential of ginsenoside Rg3(Rg3) as an ICD inducer against CRC cells was confirmed using in vitro and in vivo experimental approaches. The ICD efficacy of Rg3 could be significantly enhanced by quercetin(QTN) that elicited reactive oxygen species(ROS). To amelioratein vivo delivery barriers associated with chemotherapeutic drugs, a folate(FA)-targeted polyethylene glycol(PEG)-modified amphiphilic cyclodextrin nanoparticle(NP) was developed for co-encapsulation of Rg3 and QTN. The resultant nanoformulation(***) significantly prolonged blood circulation and enhanced tumor targeting in an orthotopic CRC mouse model, resulting in the conversion of immunosuppressive TME. Furthermore, the *** achieved significantly longer survival of animals in combination with Anti-PD-L1. The study provides a promising strategy for the treatment of CRC.
