Background:Data of living-donor liver transplantation(LDLT)suggested that donor ductal anomaly may contribute to postoperative biliary complications in recipients and in *** retrospective study aimed to determine if the occurrence of postoperative biliary stricture in donors or recipients in rightlobe LDLT(RLDLT)is related to donor biliary anatomy ***:We analyzed our RLDLT recipients’clinical data and those of their graft *** recipients were divided into 2 groups:with and without postoperative biliary *** 2 groups were *** primary endpoints were donor biliary anatomy type and postoperative biliary complication incidence;the secondary endpoints were 1-,3-and 5-year graft and patient survival ***:Totally 127 patients were included in the study;25(19.7%)of them developed biliary anastomotic *** these 25 patients,16 had type A biliary anatomy,3 had type B,2 had type C,3 had type D,and 1 had type *** the 127 donors,96(75.6%)had type A biliary anatomy,13(10.2%)had type B,6(4.7%)had type C,10(7.9%)had type D,and 2(1.6%)had type *** stricture was seen in 2 donors,who had type A biliary *** of the recipients or donors developed bile *** association between the occurrence of postoperative biliary stricture and donor biliary anatomy type was found(P=0.527).Conclusions:The incidence of biliary stricture in donors or recipients after RLDLT was not related to donor biliary anatomy *** postoperative complications were similar in whatever type of donor bile duct anatomy,donor ductal anomaly should not be considered a contraindication to donation of right liver lobe.

With improvements in survival, liver trans- plant recipients now suffer more morbidity from long-term immunosuppression. Considerations were given to develop individualized immunosuppression based on their risk of re- jection. METHOD： We retrospectively analyzed the data of 788 liver transplants performed during the period from October 1991 to December 2011 to study the relationship between acute cel- lular rejection （ACR） and various clinical factors. RESULTS： Multivariate analysis showed that older age （P=0.04, OR=0.982）, chronic hepatitis B virus infection （P=0.005, OR= 0.574）, living donor liver transplantation （P=0.02, OR=0.648） and use of interleukin-2 receptor antagonist on induction （P〈0.001, OR=0.401） were associated with fewer ACRs. Patients with fulminant liver failure （P=.004, OR=4.05） were more likely to develop moderate to severe grade ACR. CONCLUSIONS： Liver transplant recipients with older age, chronic hepatitis B virus infection, living donor liver trans- plantation and use of interleukin-2 receptor antagonist on in- duction have fewer ACR. Patients transplanted for fulminant liver failure are at higher risk of moderate to severe grade ACR. These results provide theoretical framework for developing individualized immunosuppression.

Valleytronic materials can provide new degrees of freedom to future electronic *** this work,the concepts of the ferrovalley metal(FVM)and valley gapless semiconductor(VGS)are proposed,which can be achieved in valleytronic bilayer systems by electric field *** valleytronic bilayer systems,the interaction between out-of-plane ferroelectricity and A-type antiferromagnetism can induce layer-polarized anomalous valley Hall(LP-AVH)*** K and−K valleys of FVM are both metallic,and electron and hole carriers simultaneously *** the extreme case,the FVM can become VGS by analogizing spin gapless semiconductor(SGS).Moreover,it is proposed that the valley splitting enhancement and valley polarization reversal can be achieved by electric field engineering in valleytronic bilayer *** the bilayer RuBr_(2)as an example,our proposal is confirmed by the first-principle *** FVM and VGS can be achieved in bilayer RuBr_(2)by applying electric *** appropriate electric field range,increasing electric field can enhance valley splitting,and the valley polarization can be reversed by flipping electric field *** effectively tune valley properties by electric field in bilayer systems,the parent monolayer should possess out-of-plane magnetization,and have large valley *** results shed light on the possible role of electric field in tuning valleytronic bilayer systems,and provide a way to design the ferrovalley-related material by electric field.

AIM:To define the predictive factors of severe retinopathy of prematurity(ROP)and develop a nomogram for predicting severe ROP in southeast ***:Totally 554 infants diagnosed with ROP hospitalized in the Second Affiliated Hospital and Yuying Children’s Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University and hospitalized in Taizhou Women and Children’s Hospital were *** data and 43 candidate predictive factors of ROP infants were collected *** regression model was used to identify predictive factors of severe ROP and to propose a nomogram for individual risk prediction,which was compared with WINROP model and Digirop-Birth ***:Infants from the Second Affiliated Hospital and Yuying Children’s Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University(n=478)were randomly allocated into training(n=402)and internal validation group(n=76).Infants from Taizhou Women and Children’s Hospital were set as external validation group(n=76).Severe ROP were found in 52 of 402 infants,12 of 76 infants,and 7 of 76 infants in training group,internal validation group,and external validation group,*** weight[odds ratio(OR),0.997;95%confidence interval(CI),0.996-0.999;P<0.001],multiple births(OR,1.885;95%CI,1.013-3.506;P=0.045),and non-invasive ventilation(OR,0.288;95%CI,0.146-0.570;P<0.001)were identified as predictive factors for the prediction of severe ROP,by univariate analysis and multivariate *** predicting severe ROP based on the internal validation group,the areas under receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)was 78.1(95%CI,64.2-92.0)for the nomogram,32.9(95%CI,15.3-50.5)for WINROP model,70.2(95%CI,55.8-84.6)for Digirop-Birth *** external validation group,AUC of the nomogram was also higher than that of WINROP model and Digirop-Birth model(80.2 versus 51.1 and 63.4).The decision curve analysis of the nomogram demonstrated better clinical efficacy than that of WINROP model and Digirop-Birth *** calibration curves demonst

Objective To investigate the in vivo immunomodulatory and anti-tumor mechanisms of the combined treatment of novel Four-Herb formula(4HF)and doxorubicin in triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC).Methods Murine-derived triple-negative mammary carcinoma cell line,4T1 cells,was cultured and inoculated into mouse mammary ***-six mice were randomly assigned into 6 groups(n=11 in ench):naive,control,LD 4HF(low dose 4HF),HD 4HF(high dose 4HF),LD 4HF+D(low dose and doxorubicin),and D(doxorubicin).Apart from the naive group,each mouse received subcutaneous inoculation with 5×10^(5)4T1 cells resuspended in 100µL of normal saline in the mammary fat *** from the day of tumor cell inoculation,tumors were grown for 6 *** LD and HD groups received daily oral gavage of 658 and 2,630 mg/kg 4HF,*** LD 4HF+D group received daily oral gavage of 658 mg/kg 4HF and weekly intraperitoneal injection of doxorubicin(5 mg/kg).The D group received weekly intraperitoneal injections of doxorubicin(5 mg/kg).The treatment naive mice received daily oral gavage of 0.2 mL double distilled water and 0.1 mL normal saline via intraperitoneal injection once a *** control group received daily oral gavage of 0.2 mL double-distilled *** treatment period was 30 *** the end of treatment,mice organs were harvested to analyze immunological activities via immunophenotyping,gene and multiplex analysis,histological staining,and gut microbiota *** Mice treated with the combination of 4HF and doxorubicin resulted in significantly reduced tumor and spleen burdens(P<0.05),altered the hypoxia and overall immune lymphocyte landscape,and manipulated gut microbiota to favor the anti-tumor immunological ***,immunosuppressive genes,cytokines,and chemokines such as C-C motif chemokine 2 and interleukin-10 of tumors were significantly downregulated(P<0.05).4HF-doxorubicin combination treatment demonstrated synergetic activities and was most effective
