studying the Condition of soil Protection Agrolandscape in Ukraine Using Remote sensing Methods

The article reviews the scientific approaches to monitoring of soil condition on the soil protection agrolandscape. In 1980s, the contour-meliorative soil protection system was established on the selected fields in Ukraine. The objective of the current research was to determine the capabilities of satellite survey to identify the changes of soil cover that had occurred on these fields during the past 25 years. soil erosion processes are very dynamic, therefore it is essential to use time-series of operative satellite images to track those changes. Rills on the fields, caused by water erosion, are clearly identified on high-resolution satellite data. Erosion causes the decrease of humus content, which affects soil reflection values. This in turn leads to a corresponding change of color shade on satellite images. The research allowed to determine correlation between remote sensing data and soil organic carbon content and to acquire a mathematical model which describes this correlation. The condition of the agrolandscape soils was assessed using the regression model, which helped to evaluate erosion risk for different areas of the test polygon. The visual interpretation of satellite imagery led to a conclusion about a damaging effect of erosion on protective forest belts and accordingly on fields＇ soil cover and crops. Visual analysis results were approved by field research. Photos taken during the field research indicate an unsatisfactory status of forest belts and a devastating effect of eroding water flows. These are the results of irresponsible land use and constant violation of methodical principles of the contour-meliorative system organization. The article concludes that the use of time-series of high-resolution satellite imagery allows monitoring the condition of soil protection agrolandscape, in particular the forest belts＇ status soil cover conditions and their change over time. In response to new European Union regulations,studies are underway to mitigate accumulation of toxic cadmium(Cd)in cacao(Theobroma cacao,Tc).This study advances such research with Cd isotope analyses of 19 genetically diverse cacao clones and yeast transformed to express cacao natural resistance-associated macrophage protein(NRAMP5)and heavy metal ATPases(HMAs).The plants were enriched in light Cd isotopes relative to the hydroponic solution withΔ^(114/110)Cd_(tot-sol)=−0.22±0.08‰.Leaves show a systematic enrichment of isotopically heavy Cd relative to total plants,in accord with closed-system isotope fractionation ofΔ^(114/110)C_(dseq-mob)=−0.13‰,by sequestering isotopically light Cd in roots/stems and mobilisation of remaining Cd to *** findings demonstrate that(i)transfer of Cd between roots and leaves is primarily unidirectional;(ii)different clones utilise similar pathways for Cd sequestration,which differ from those of other studied plants;(iii)clones differ in their efficiency of Cd *** yeast that expresses TcNRAMP5(*** natural resistance-associated macrophage gene)had isotopically lighter Cd than did *** suggests that NRAMP5 transporters constitute an important pathway for uptake of Cd by *** isotope signatures of transgenic yeast expressing HMA-family proteins suggest that they may contribute to Cd *** data are the first to record isotope fractionation induced by transporter proteins in vivo.

silver fir(Abies alba Mill.)is a flexible European tree species,mainly vegetating within the mountainous regions of Europe,but its growth responses across its latitudinal and longitudinal range have not yet been satisfactorily verified under changing environmental *** study describes the tree-ring increment of silver fir in research plots across a latitudinal gradient from the northern range in Czechia(CZ),through Croatia(HR)to the southernmost range in Italy(IT).The research aims to analyze in detail the dynamics and cyclicity of the ringwidth index(RWI)and how it relates to climatic factors(temperature and precipitation),the North Atlantic Oscillation(NAO),and total solar irradiance(TsI),including the determination of *** results show that the main drivers affecting fir growth are the seasonal NAO index and *** temperatures affect RWI early in the vegetation season,while lack of precipitation during the summer is a limiting factor for fir growth,especially in *** temperatures and temperatures in June and July negatively impact,while seasonal precipitation totals in the same months positively influence the RWI in all research plots across *** longest growth cycles in fir RWI were recorded in the northernmost studied plots in *** cyclical fluctuations recede approaching the *** cyclic increase in RWI is related to the TsI,which decreases its effect from north to *** TsI's effects vary,positively impacting CZ but negatively influencing HR while remaining relatively neutral in *** the other hand,seasonal NAO tends to negatively affect silver fir growth in HR and CZ but has a mildly positive effect in *** conclusion,the TsI and the influence of the seasonal NAO index are prevalent in the fir RWI and are accompanied by a greater cyclicity of RWI in Central Europe(temperature optimum)than in the Italian Mediterranean region,where this tree species is limited by climatic conditions,especially lack of pre

Livestock grazing and trampling is an important factor in the formation and development of different terrestrial ***,despite numerous studies on soil compaction,there is still no consensus as to which kind of effect(positive or negative)animal trampling exerts on soil *** main goal of this study was to evaluate the animal trampling effect on free-living nematode abundance and diversity,and to define the attenuating effect of the tree canopies(Cupressus sempervirens,Eucalyptus camaldulensis,and Tamarix aphylla)during wet and dry *** nematodes were extracted from 100 g aliquots of soil samples(brown-red sandy soils)during cold-wet(CW),warm-wet(WW),and hot-dry(HD)periods during 2013-2014,in a man-made safari-zoo habitat,using the Baermann funnel *** results revealed the impact of trampling on both free-living nematode abundance and diversity,and their soil *** was found that trampling,along with seasonal fluctuation and the tree-species attenuating effect on the soil medium,resulted in the creation of the spatial-temporal heterogeneity of soil properties in the study *** turn,variation in soil properties was reflected in soil nematode abundance and diversity,revealing tight correlation with the observed soil *** trampling had an overwhelming,mostly negative impact on soil nematode abundance,genera,and trophic diversity in the open,bare ***,the protective effect of the tree canopies,as well as seasonal fluctuations,attenuated this negative *** trees had a significant attenuating effect on trampling compared with the open,bare ***,different tree species during the wet and dry periods had a variable impact on nematode abundance,genera,and trophic *** the hottest period of the year,when external adverse factors dominated the trampling effect,the ability of the trees to protect nematode communities was significantly *** all the colonizer-persister(cp)continuum of

Neurotrophic and metabotrophic potential of nerve growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor: Linking cardiometabolic and neuropsychiatric diseases

One of biggest recent achievements of neurobiology is the study on neurotrophic factors. The neurotrophins are exciting examples of these factors. They belong to a family of proteins consisting of nerve growth fac-tor （NGF）, brain-derived neurotrophic factor （BDNF）, neurotrophin-3 （NT-3）, NT-4/5, NT-6, and NT-7. Today, NGF and BDNF are well recognized to mediate a diz-zying number of trophobiological effects, ranging from neurotrophic through immunotrophic and epitheliotro-phic to metabotrophic effects. These are implicated in the pathogenesis of various diseases. In the same vein, recent studies in adipobiology reveal that this tissue is the body’s largest endocrine and paracrine organ producing multiple signaling proteins collectively termed adipokines, with NGF and BDNF being also produced from adipose tissue. Altogether, neurobio-logy and adipobiology contribute to the improvement of our knowledge on diseases beyond obesity such as cardiometabolic （atherosclerosis, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic syndrome） and neuropsychiatric （e.g. , Alzheimer’s disease and depression） diseases. The present review updates evidence for （1） neurotrophic and metabotrophic potentials of NGF and BDNF linking the pathogenesis of these diseases, and （2） NGF- and BDNF-mediated effects in ampakines, NMDA receptor antagonists, antidepressants, selective deacetylase inhibitors, statins, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma agonists, and purinergic P2X3 recep-tor up-regulation. This may help to construct a novel paradigm in the feld of translational pharmacology of neuro-metabotrophins, particularly NGF and BDNF.

The electrodynamics both in RF with prescribed law of motion and in FR with prescribed structure is considered. Parallel comparison for solutions in “uniformly accelerated” NRF M?ller system and in uniformly accelerated rigid NFR in the space of the constant curvature is carried out. The stationary criterion is formulated. On the basis of this criterion, one of the “eternal physical problems” concerning the field at uniformly accelerated charge motion is considered. The problems of electromagnetic wave spreading, Doppler’s effect and field transformations are discussed.

schrödinger’s Cat Paradox Resolution Using GRW Collapse Model: Von Neumann Measurement Postulate Revisited

In his famous thought experiment, schr?dinger (1935) imagined a cat that measures the value of a quantum mechanical observable with its life. since schr?dinger’s time, no any interpretations or modifications of quantum mechanics have been proposed which give clear unambiguous answers to the questions posed by schr?dinger’s cat of how long superpositions last and when (or whether) they collapse? In this paper appropriate modification of quantum mechanics is proposed. We claim that canonical interpretation of the wave function is correct only when the supports of the wave functions and essentially overlap. When the wave functions and have separated supports (as in the case of the experiment that we are considering in this paper) we claim that canonical interpretation of the wave function is no longer valid for a such cat state. Possible solution of the schr?dinger’s cat paradox is considered. We pointed out that the collapsed state of the cat always shows definite and predictable outcomes even if cat also consists of a superposition: .

Objective:Glioma is a highly invasive tumor,frequently disposed in essential areas of the brain,which makes its surgical excision extremely difficult;meanwhile adjuvant therapy remains quite ***:In the current report,a new therapeutic approach in curing malignant neoplasms has been performed on the U87 human glioblastoma *** approach,termed"Karanahan",is aimed at the eradication of cancer stem cells(CsCs),which were recently shown to be capable of internalizing fragments of extracellular double-stranded *** being internalized,these fragments interfere in the process of repairing interstrand cross-links caused by exposure to appropriate cytostatics,and such an interference results either in elimination of CsCs or in the loss of their tumorigenic *** of the approach requires a scheduled administration of cytostatic and complex composite double-stranded DNA ***:U87 cells treated in vitro in accordance with the Karanahan approach completely lost their tumorigenicity and produced no grafts upon intracerebral transplantation into immunodeficient *** sCID mice with developed subcutaneous grafts,the treatment resulted in reliable slowing down of tumor growth rate(Psplantation of U87 cells followed by surgical excision of the developed graft and subsequent therapeutic treatment,the Karanahan approach was shown to reliably slow down the tumor growth rate and increase the median survival of the mice twofold relative to the ***:The effectiveness of the Karanahan approach has been demonstrated both in vitro and in vivo in treating developed subcutaneous grafts as well as orthotopic grafts after surgical excision of the tumor.

对在冻土条件下的雅库茨克热电厂的长期(2008~2011年)研究进行分析。对沿着建筑物和墙壁邻近地区的36个水井地下4~16 m温度进行测量。目前融化区域下所有的建筑,利用循环泵站和东北的水墙附近的锅炉设备可以观测到最高年平均气温(12~13℃)和不冻层厚度(23~25 m)。根据化学水处理东部解冻较早的土壤冻结从顶部到8.0~9.5m。解冻层保留较深,其中在2011年10~11 m深度年平均气温下降到0.3~0.6℃。在雅库茨克热电厂的大部分地区仍然是永久冻结地区。在主楼下方4~10 m的深度的年平均气温为0^-4.1℃。近年来,筑物地温逐步恢复的基础依据已经发生变化。
