A phylogenetic analysis of Trametes and related taxa is proposed,based on a wide sampling of temperate and tropical *** sequences of ribosomal DNA(ITS1-5.8S-ITS2)and RPB2 gene from mycelia cultures were analyzed by Maximum Likelihood and Bayesian methods,whilst morphological features were documented from the corresponding herbarium *** results were obtained from analyses of ribosomal LSU sequences downloaded from *** Bayesian analysis of ITS+RPB2 sequences gave the best resolution for the phylogenetic reconstructions and revealed the existence of three main lineages in the Trametes-clade:1)a monospecific lineage represented by Artolenzites elegans 2)a lineage including the genus Pycnoporus in its traditional sense and several species usually classified in the genus Trametes(***,***,***,***)&3)a lineage corresponding to the core genus Trametes,including type species of Trametes,Coriolopsis and *** presence of a pseudostipe,aspect and structure of the abhymenial surface,colour change with 5%aqueous solutions of potassium hydroxide and topography of pigments on skeletal hyphae gave relevant morphological support to these *** the structure of the hymenial surface,presence of a black line below the tomentum and color of context(except for genus Pycnoporus)usually used in traditional polypore-classifications did not reveal any phylogenetic significance.A partial systematic arrangement of the Trametes clade is proposed,with the introduction of a new genus:Leiotrametes Welti&***..Two new combinations:Leiotrametes lactinea(Berk.)Welti&*** ***(Berk.)Welti&*** proposed.

strong>Background:strong> Benign prostatic hypertrophy is the non-malignant stromal and epithelial proliferation of the prostate gland, with or without associated anatomical enlargement of the gland and clinical symptoms. Symptomatic Benign prostatic hypertrophy may cause obstructive symptoms, irritative symptoms or both obstructive symptoms include a sensation of incomplete bladder emptying, straining to void, urinary hesitancy and weak stream while irritative symptoms include dysuria, nocturia, urinary frequency and urinary urgency. A quantitative measure of the severity of lower urinary tract symptoms due to benign prostatic hypertrophy can be obtained using the International Prostate Symptoms Score. Ultrasonography is useful for helping to determine bladder and prostate size in patients with urinary lower urinary tract symptoms. Uroflowmetry is a non-invasive test that assesses voiding function. It provides valuable data on the voided volume, time is taken to reach maximum flow rate and average flow rate. The goal of this study was to improve the follow up of patients with benign prostatic hypertrophy by providing simple, available, affordable and non-invasive that best predict bladder outlet obstruction and the quality of life in these patients. strong>Method: strong>This was a cross-sectional analytic study carried out over a period of five months from May 2020 to September 2020 at the Yaounde Gynaeco-Obstetric and Paediatric Hospital, which is a tertiary hospital in Cameroon. Were included in the study, adult males who presented with lower urinary tract symptoms and prostatic enlargement suggestive of benign prostatic hypertrophy taking into account clinical, uroflowmetry and ultrasound findings. strong>Results:strong> A study population of 103 participants was recruited. Exposure of Mercury from Gold Ming Area: A Case study in Tendo and Aby Lagoon in Côte d’Ivoire

Lagoons of West African countries are seriously threatened by rapid artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) that exposes lagoons to mercury pollution. In this study, the mercury level in the sediments of the Tendo and Aby lagoons in Côte d’Ivoire had been evaluated. A total of 87 samples from 25 stations located on Tendo and Aby lagoons were analyzed by atomic fluorescence spectrometry. The mean Hg concentrations obtained in the sediments of Tendo and Aby lagoons were 0.89 ± 0.26 mg⋅kg-1 and 0.70 ± 0.18 mg⋅kg-1, respectively. Hg concentrations evaluated in the bays of Tendo and Aby during the dry season were 1.38 ± 0.45 mg⋅kg-1 and 1.07 ± 0.31 mg⋅kg-1, respectively. The minimum and maximum total Hg concentrations in the sediments from 25 stations were 0.04 and 3.56 mg⋅kg-1, respectively. Mercury contamination in lagoons during ASGM poses risks of pollution for the lagoon ecosystem and also poses health risks for the population living near these lagoons.

Although the occurrence of coronary stent fracture is rare, recent reports showed that stent fracture after sirolimus-eluting stent (SES) implantation may be associated with neointimal hyperplasia and restenosis. We report two cases of stent fracture that occurred late after elective SES implantation into the right coronary artery (RCA) that were related to the aneurysm, restenosis, thrombosis, and vessel occlusion.

We report a fast,reliable and non-destructive method for quantifying the homogeneity of perovskite thin films over large areas using machine *** adapt existing machine vision algorithms to spatially quantify multiple perovskite film properties(substrate coverage,film thickness,defect density)with pixel resolution from pictures of 25 cm2 *** machine vision tool—called PerovskiteVision—can be combined with an optical model to predict photovoltaic cell and module current density from the perovskite film *** use the measured film properties and predicted device current density to identify a posteriori the process conditions that simultaneously maximize the device performance and the manufacturing throughput for large-area perovskite deposition using gas-knife assisted slot-die *** thus facilitates the transfer of a new deposition process to large-scale photovoltaic module *** work shows how machine vision can accelerate slow characterization steps essential for the multi-objective optimization of thin film deposition processes.

Flat electro-optical frequency combs play an important role in a wide range of applications,such as metrology,spectroscopy,or microwave *** a key technology for the integration of optical circuits,silicon photonics could benefit from on-chip,tunable,flat frequency comb *** this article,two different architectures based on silicon modulators are studied for this *** rely on a time to frequency conversion principle to shape the comb *** a numerical model of the silicon traveling-wave phase modulators,their driving schemes are optimized before their performances are simulated and compared.A total of nine lines could be obtained within a 2 dB flatness,with a line-spacing ranging from 0.1 to 7 *** this tunability is a major asset of electro-optical frequency combs,the effect of segmenting the phase modulators is finally investigated,showing that the flat lines spacing could be extended up to 39 GHz by this method.

Climate change scenarios predict an increase in mean air temperatures and in the frequency,intensity,and length of extreme temperature events in many wine-growing regions *** elevated temperature has detrimental effects on berry growth and composition,it threatens the economic and environmental sustainability of wine *** Cabernet Sauvignon fruit-bearing cuttings,we investigated the effects of high temperature(HT)on grapevine berries through a label-free shotgun proteomic analysis coupled to a complementary metabolomic *** the 2,279 proteins identified,592 differentially abundant proteins were found in berries exposed to *** gene ontology categories“stress,”“protein,”“secondary metabolism,”and“cell wall”were predominantly altered under *** temperatures strongly impaired carbohydrate and energy metabolism,and the effects depended on the stage of development and duration of *** amounts correlated poorly with protein expression levels in HT berries,highlighting the value of proteomic studies in the context of heat ***,this work reveals that HT alters key proteins driving berry development and ***,we provide a list of differentially abundant proteins that can be considered as potential markers for developing or selecting grape varieties that are better adapted to warmer climates or extreme heat waves.

BACKGROUND Ampullary adenocarcinoma(AAC)is a rare neoplasm that accounts for only 0.2%of all gastrointestinal *** incidence rate is lower than 6 cases per million *** prognostic factors have been described for AAC and are associated with a wide range of survival ***,these studies have been exclusively conducted in patients originating from Asian,European,and North American *** To evaluate the histopathologic predictors of overall survival(OS)in South American patients with AAC treated with curative pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD).METHODS We analyzed retrospective data from 83 AAC patients who underwent curative(R0)PD at the National Cancer Institute of Peru between January 2010 and October 2020 to identify histopathologic predictors of *** Sixty-nine percent of patients had developed intestinal-type AAC(69%),23%had pancreatobiliary-type AAC,and 8%had other ***-one percent of patients were classified as stage I,according to the AJCC 8 th *** occurred primarily in the liver(n=8),peritoneum(n=4),and lung(n=4).statistical analyses indicated that T3 tumour stage[hazard ratio(HR)of 6.4,95%confidence interval(CI)of 2.5-16.3,Pstasis(HR:4.5,95%CI:1.8-11.3,P=0.001),and pancreatobiliary type(HR:2.7,95%CI:1.2-6.2,P=0.025)were independent predictors of *** Extended tumour stage(T3),pancreatobiliary type,and positive lymph node metastasis represent independent predictors of a lower OS rate in South American AAC patients who underwent curative PD.

A Kinematics Scalar Projection Method (KSP) for Incompressible Flows with Variable Density

A new scalar projection method presented for simulating incompressible flows with variable density is proposed. It reverses conventional projection algorithm by computing first the irrotational component of the velocity and then the pressure. The first phase of the projection is purely kinematics. The predicted velocity field is subjected to a discrete Hodge-Helmholtz decomposition. The second phase of upgrade of pressure from the density uses stokes’ theorem to explicitly compute the pressure. If all or part of the boundary conditions is then fixed on the divergence free physical field, the system required to be solved for the scalar potential of velocity becomes a Poisson equation with constant coefficients fitted with Dirichlet conditions.
