Introduction: Cardiovascular risk is increased in systemic lupus erythematosus. Cardiovascular events are the first cause of death in lupus after five years duration. Prevention of cardiovascular events needs a good evaluation of the risk. In this work, we tried to evaluate the performance of conventional and adjusted forms of cardiovascular risk equations to predict high risk in lupus patients, in comparison with carotid ultrasound. Method: We realized a cross-sectional study during the period from 24 August 2017 to 22 November 2018. Consenting patient meeting the 1997 American college of Rheumatology criteria of systemic lupus erythematosus were recruited. The clinical characteristics and the treatment data were informed. Traditional cardiovascular risk factors were also investigated, and the assessment of cardiovascular risk was performed by Framingham and SCORE equations and their modified forms (multiplication by a factor of 1.5). Carotid ultrasound was used to detect atherosclerosis by measuring intima media thickness and searching for carotid plaques. Introduction: Unclassified inflammatory rheumatism is persistent inflammatory arthralgias with or without synovitis without sufficient classification criteria for an inflammatory rheumatism or a well-defined connective disease. Their outcome is variable and has been little studied in Africa. We report the epidemiological, paraclinical and evolutionary characteristics of seven cases of indeterminate polyarthritis. material and Method: From January 2012 to may 2021, we selected all the files of patients followed up for unclassified inflammatory rheumatism and in whom a precise diagnosis was retained during the course of the disease. The diagnosis of unclassified inflammatory rheumatism was retained after biological, immunological and radiological explorations without specificities. Our study took place in the Internal Medicine Department of Aristide Le Dantec Hospital (HALD). Results: Seven cases out of 274 consulted were collected. They consisted of seven women with an average age of 39 years at the time of the first consultation (extremes: 19 and 67 years). All seven patients presented with inflammatory polyarthralgia or non-deforming, non-erosive peripheral polyarthritis, without extra-articular manifestations. A biological inflammatory syndrome was present in all seven patients. Autoantibodies (rheumatoid factor, ANA, anti-ENA and ACPA) were negative in all patients. The first-line treatments in all seven cases were hydroxychloroquine (200 - 400 mg/day) and prednisone (5 - 10 mg/day). Methotrexate was added in 3 cases. During follow-up, 2 cases progressed to Polyarthritis Rheumatoid (PR) after 3 and 4 years. Two cases progressed to Sjögren’s syndrome after 4 and 5 years. Two patients progressed to systemic scleroderma after 5 and 8 years. One patient progressed to lupus after 5 years. Conclusion: Regular follow-up is essential in IAN. Defect fluorescence from high aspect ratio semiconductor nanowires typically displays a weak polarization parallel to the nanowire’s long axis due to dielectric mismatch in high aspect ratio ***,anomalous 2.2 eV defect fluorescence distinctly polarized perpendicular to the nanowire is observed and measured from carbon-incorporated zinc oxide *** observations are significant because polarized defect emissions with consistent polarization on a mesoscopic scale are *** a systematic study and comparison of experimental results with density functional theory calculations,an oriented defect complex comprising carbon substituting on an oxygen site and an oxygen vacancy(CO-VO)is deduced to be responsible for the anomalous yellow fluorescence,demonstrating a method for relating atomic-scale defect geometry to mesoscopic *** anomalous emission can appear in both green-and red-fluorescing nanowires grown with different carbon concentrations,verifying the independence and uniqueness of the 2.2 eV *** allows for polarization-dependent emission wavelength selection from a single nanowire.

We study the hydrogen bonds effect on the water density as a function of temperature and pressure from the supercritical region to the metastable supercooled and amorphous phases. We identify two important thermodynamic thresholds, that is P~*■2 kbar and T~*■315 K, that separate two different water behaviors in terms of hydrogen bonding capability. For T mation and stability of hydrogen bonded local structures are enhanced. The additional analyses of the proton NMR chemical shift and of the relaxation time confirm this evidence and highlight the structure breaking effects of the pressure. The investigation of both structural and dynamical quantities allow us to draw a complete picture of the water properties in terms of the temperaturepressure dependence of hydrogen bonding.

大多数非洲国家的环境在很大程度上受到气候变化动态的影响。农业、矿业、林业、能源、旅游业、沿海资源行业和其他推动非洲大陆经济扩张的重要行业很容易受到气候变化的影响。本研究利用1995-2018年的面板数据,采取面板自回归分布滞后(ARDL)来评估气候变化对非洲经济增长的影响,并进行区域分析。使用面板协整测试来估计气候变化如何影响非洲的经济增长。我们还进行了面板单元根测试,以确定没有一个变量是二阶I(2)的积分。此外,还进行了格兰杰因果关系检验,以显示单一的因果关系。协整分析的证据表明,变量之间存在长期协整。研究结果表明,碳排放和降水在短期和长期内对经济增长都有积极影响,但温度对它产生负面影响。这意味着碳排放和降雨是刺激经济增长的关键投入,而温度对经济表现消极影响。此外,我们的汇总均值组(PMG)回归分析结果显示,西非是受气候变化影响最大的地区。因此,政策制定者应该敦促国内外排放更多温室气体的行业以及汽油车用户转向清洁能源利用。此外,在西非,应努力制定新的政策和战略,以减轻气候变化对经济增长的影响。

We study the evolution of the Boson peak for water confined in cement paste obtained by means of Inelastic Neutron Scattering from room temperature to the deep supercooled *** analyze the data in terms of a universal-like model,developed for glass forming liquids in the frame of the energy *** such a way it is possible to discriminate between the fragile and strong glass forming character of supercooled liquids and the dynamical crossover,fragile to strong,between ***,we confirm the link between the Boson peak and the water *** particular,the main result is represented by a crossover from a local energetic minima configuration to that characteristic of saddle points on going towards the deep supercooled regime up to the dynamical arrest.

Background: The morbidity and mortality of systemic lupus erythematosus are largely due to accelerated atherosclerosis. This is partly related to the high prevalence of traditional cardiovascular risk factors. The aim of our study was to determine the frequency of these factors in lupus patients compared to a control population in a department of internal medicine. Methods: We realized a case-control study in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus according to ACR criteria in 1997. Patients were matched by age and gender with controls subjects without autoimmune disease. We studied the frequency of traditional cardiovascular risk factors in both populations. The study was done in the department of internal medicine of Aristide Le Dantec teaching Hospital, in Senegal, during the period from August 2017 to December 2018. The statistical analysis was performed with SPSS 23.0 software and the level of significance was retained for a p-value Results: We recruited 100 subjects including 50 patients and 50 controls. The mean age was 33.5 ± 11.3 years in cases and 33.3 ± 11.3 years in controls. Dyslipidemia was significantly associated with systemic lupus erythematosus (p = 0.009). Levels of triglycerides (p Conclusion: Traditional cardiovascular risk factors including dyslipidemia and hyperuricemia were more common in patients. Similarly, renal failure was associated with lupus.
