Felines use their spinal column to increase their running speed at rapid locomotion performance. However, its motion profile behavior during fast gait locomotion has little attention. The goal of this study is to examine the relative spinal motion profile during two different galloping gait speeds. To understand this dynamic behavior trend, a dynamic motion of the feline animal （Felis catus domestica） was measured and analyzed by motion capture devices. Based on the experiments at two different galloping gaits, we observed a significant increase in speed （from 3.2 m.s-1 to 4.33 m.s-1） during the relative motion profile synchronization between the spinal （range： 118.86~ to 168.00~） and pelvic segments （range： 46.35~ to 91.13~） during the hindlimb stance phase （time interval： 0.495 s to 0.600 s）. Based on this discovery, the relative angular speed profile was applied to understand the possibility that the role of the relative motion match during high speed locomotion generates bigger ground reaction force.

The development of cost-effective,highly efficient,and durable electrocatalysts has been a paramount pursuit for advancing the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Herein,a simplified synthesis protocol was designed to achieve a self-standing electrode,composed of activated carbon paper embedded with Ru single-atom catalysts and Ru nanoclusters(ACP/Ru_(SAC+C))via acid activation,immersion,and high-temperature *** initio molecular dynamics(AIMD)calculations are employed to gain a more profound understanding of the impact of acid activation on carbon ***,the coexistence states of the Ru atoms are confirmed via aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy(AC-STEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and X-ray absorption spectroscopy(XAS).Experimental measurements and theoretical calculations reveal that introducing a Ru single-atom site adjacent to the Ru nanoclusters induces a synergistic effect,tuning the electronic structure and thereby significantly enhancing their catalytic ***,the ACP/Ru_(SAC+C)exhibits a remarkable turnover frequency(TOF)of 18 s^(−1)and an exceptional mass activity(MA)of 2.2 A mg^(−1),surpassing the performance of conventional Pt *** self-standing electrode,featuring harmoniously coexisting Ru states,stands out as a prospective choice for advancing HER catalysts,enhancing energy efficiency,productivity,and selectivity.

AIM: To investigate the eradication rate and histological changes after Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) eradication treatment following subtotal gastrectomy for gastric ***: A total of 610 patients with H. pylori infection who had undergone surgery for either early or advanced gastric adenocarcinoma between May 2004 and December 2010 were retrospectively studied. A total of 584 patients with proven H. pylori infection after surgery for gastric cancer were enrolled in this study. Patients received a seven day standard triple regimen as first-line therapy and a 10 d bismuthcontaining quadruple regimen as second-line therapy in cases of eradication failure. The patients underwent an esophagogastroduodenoscopy(EGD) between six and 12 mo after surgery, followed by annual EGDs. A further EGD was conducted 12 mo after confirming the result of the eradication and the histological changes. A gastric biopsy specimen for histological examination and Campylobacter-like organism testing was obtained from the lesser and greater curvature of the corpus of the remnant stomach. Histological changes in the gastric mucosa were assessed using the updated Sydney system before eradication therapy and at follow-up after 12 ***: Eradication rates with the first-line and second-line therapies were 78.4%(458/584) and 90%(36/40), respectively, by intention-to-treat analysis and 85.3%(458/530) and 92.3%(36/39), respectively, by per-protocol analysis. The univariate and multivariate analyses revealed that Billroth Ⅱ surgery was an independent factor predictive of eradication success in the eradication success group(OR = 1.53, 95%CI: 1.41-1.65, P = 0.021). The atrophy and intestinal metaplasia(IM) scores 12 mo after eradication were significantly lower in the eradication success group than in the eradication failure group(0.25 ± 0.04 vs 0.47 ± 0.12, P = 0.023; 0.27 ± 0.04 vs 0.51 ± 0.12, P = 0.015, respectively). Colonoscopy is a widely used method for diagnosing and treating colonic disease. The number of colonoscopies is increasing worldwide, and concerns about associated adverse events are growing. Large-scale studies using big data for post-colonoscopy complications have been reported. A colon perforation is a severe complication with a relatively high mortality rate. The perforation rate, as reported in large studies(≥ 50,000 colonoscopies) published since 2000, ranges from 0.005-0.085%. The trend in the overall perforation rate in the past 15 years has not changed significantly. Bleeding is a more common adverse event than perforation. Recent large studies(≥ 50,000 colonoscopies) have reported postcolonoscopy bleeding occurring in 0.001-0.687% of cases. Most studies about adverse events related to colonoscopy were performed in the West, and relatively few studies have been conducted in the East. The incidence of post-colonoscopy complications increases in elderly patients or patients with inflammatory bowel diseases. It is important to use a unified definition and refined data to overcome the limitations of previous studies. In addition, a structured training program for endoscopists and a systematic national management program are needed to reduce post-colonoscopy complications. In this review, we discuss the current trends in colonoscopy related to adverse events, as well as the challenges to be addressed through future research.

Hepatocellular adenoma (HCA) is one of the important complications of glycogen storage disease type?Ia (GSD-Ia) because it can be transformed into hepatocellular carcinoma. Although surgical resection is a standard treatment of choice for solitary HCA, multiple HCAs in GSD-Ia patients present as therapeutic challenges for curative treatment. Therefore, treatment strategy according to malignant potential is important in management of HCAs in GSD-Ia. The authors present a case of histologically proven multiple HCAs without β-catenin mutations occurred in a GSD-Ia patient treated successfully with percutaneous radiofrequency ablation as a minimally invasive therapy.

Effect of robot-assisted gait training on the biomechanical properties of burn scars:a single-blind,randomized controlled trial

Background:Robot-assisted gait training(RAGT)is more effective in the range of motion(ROM)and isometric strength in patients with burns than conventional ***,concerns have been raised about whether RAGT might negatively affect the scars of patients with ***,we investigated the effects of RAGT-induced mechanical load on the biomechanical properties of burn ***:This was a single-blind,randomized clinical trial conducted on inpatients admitted to the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine between September 2020 and August *** was conducted for 30 min per day,five days a week for 12 weeks and the control group received conventional gait training for 12 *** pre-training ROM of lower extremity joints was evaluated and the levels of melanin,erythema,trans-epidermal water loss,scar distensibility and elasticity were assessed before training and at 4 and 12 weeks after ***,19 patients in the gait assistance robot(GAR)group and 20 patients in the control group completed the 12-week trial and all ***:There were no significant differences in the epidemiologic characteristics,pre-training ROM of joints and pre-training biomechanical properties of the burn scar between the groups(p>0.05 for all).None of the patients experienced skin abrasion around the burn scar where the fastening belts were applied or musculoskeletal or cardiovascular adverse events during the *** thickness significantly increased in both groups(p=0.037 and p=0.019)and scar distensibility significantly decreased in the control group(p=0.011)during the *** was significantly decreased in the GAR group during the training(p=0.038).The GAR and control groups showed significant difference in the change in the values of hysteresis between pre-training and 12 weeks after training(p=0.441 and p=0.049).Conclusions:RAGT significantly decreased hysteresis in hypertrophic burn scars and did not cause a significant decrease

The importance of the safety of healthy living liver donors is widely recognized during donor hepatectomywhich is associated with blood loss, transfusion, and subsequent post-operative morbidity. Although the low central venous pressure(CVP) technique can still be effective, it may not be advantageous concerning the safety of healthy donors undergoing hepatectomy. Emerging evidence suggests that stroke volume variation(SVV), a simple and useful index for fluid responsiveness and preload status in various clinical situations, can be applied as a guide for fluid management to reduce blood loss during living donor hepatectomy. Synthetic colloid solutions are also associated with serious adverse events such as the use of renal replacement therapy and transfusion in critically ill or septic patients. However, it is uncertain whether the intra-operative use of colloid solution is associated with similarly adverse effects in patients undergoing living donor hepatectomy. In this review article we discuss the recent issues regarding the low CVP technique and the high SVV method, i.e., maintaining 10%-20% of SVV, for fluid management in order to reduce blood loss during living donor hepatectomy. In addition, we briefly discuss the effects of intra-operative colloid or crystalloid administration for surgical rather than septic or critically ill patients.
