Effects of exercise training on glucose metabolism indicators and inflammatory markers in obese children and adolescents:A metaanalysis

BACKGROUND Obesity in children and adolescents is a serious problem,and the efficacy of exercise therapy for these patients is *** To assess the efficacy of exercise training on overweight and obese children based on glucose metabolism indicators and inflammatory *** The PubMed,Web of Science,and Embase databases were searched for randomized controlled trials related to exercise training and obese children until October *** meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan 5.3 software to evaluate the efficacy of exercise therapy on glucose metabolism indicators and inflammatory markers in obese *** In total,1010 patients from 28 studies were *** therapy reduced the levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG)[standardized mean difference(SMD):-0.78;95%confidence interval(CI):-1.24 to-0.32,P=0.0008],fasting insulin(FINS)(SMD:-1.55;95%CI:-2.12 to-0.98,P<0.00001),homeostatic model assessment for insulin resistance(HOMA-IR)(SMD:-1.58;95%CI:-2.20 to-0.97,P<0.00001),interleukin-6(IL-6)(SMD:-1.31;95%CI:-2.07 to-0.55,P=0.0007),C-reactive protein(CRP)(SMD:-0.64;95%CI:-1.21 to-0.08,P=0.03),and leptin(SMD:-3.43;95%CI:-5.82 to-1.05,P=0.005)in overweight and obese *** training increased adiponectin levels(SMD:1.24;95%CI:0.30 to 2.18,P=0.01)but did not improve tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)levels(SMD:-0.80;95%CI:-1.77 to 0.18,P=0.11).CONCLUSION In summary,exercise therapy improves glucose metabolism by reducing levels of FBG,FINS,HOMA-IR,as well as improves inflammatory status by reducing levels of IL-6,CRP,leptin,and increasing levels of adiponectin in overweight and obese *** was no statistically significant effect between exercise training and levels of TNF-α.Additional long-term trials should be conducted to explore this therapeutic perspective and confirm these results.

Background： There are limited data on longer-term outcomes （〉5 years） for patients with unprotected left main coronary artery （ULMCA） disease who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention （PCI） in the drug-eluting stents （DES） era. This study aimed at comparing the long-term （〉5 years） outcomes of patients with ULMCA disease underwent PCI with DES and coronary artery bypass grafting （CABG） and the predictors of adverse events. Methods： All consecutive patients with ULMCA disease treated with DES implantation versus CABG in our center, between January 2003 and July 2009, were screened for analyzing. A propensity score analysis was carried out to adjust for potential confounding between the two groups. Results： Nine hundred and twenty-two patients with ULMCA disease were enrolled for the analyses （DES = 465 vs. CABG = 457）. During the median follow-up of 7.1 years （interquartile range 5.3-8.2 years）, no difference was found between PCI and CABG in the occurrence of death （P = 0.282） and the composite endpoint of cardiac death, myocardial infarction （MI） and stroke （P = 0.294）. Rates of major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events were significantly higher in the PCI group （P = 0.014） in large part because of the significantly higher rate of repeat revascularization （P 〈 0.001）. PC/was correlated with the lower occurrence of stroke （P = 0.004）. Multivariate analysis showed ejection fraction （EF）（P = 0.012）, creatinine （P = 0.016）, and prior stroke （P = 0.03 l） were independent predictors of the composite endpoint of cardiac death, MI, and stroke in the DES group, while age （P = 0.026） and EF （P = 0.002） were independent predictors in the CABG group. Conclusions： During a median follow-up of 7.1 years, there was no difference in the rate of death between PCI with DES implantation and CABG in ULMCA lesions in the patient cohort. Photoresponsiveness of materials is critical to their tunability and efficiency in terminal *** metal-organic polyhedra(PMOPs)feature intrinsic pores and remote controllability,but aggregation of PMOPs in solid state hampers their photoresponsiveness ***,we report the construction of a new PMOP(Cu_(24)(C_(16)H_(12)N_(2)O_(4))_(12)(C_(18)H_(22)O_(5))12,denoted as MOP-PR-LA),where long alkyl(LA)chains act as the intermolecular poles,propping against adjacent PMOP molecules to create individual microenvironment benefiting the isomerization of photoresponsive(PR)*** ultraviolet(UV)-and visible-light irradiation,MOP-PR-LA is much easier to isomerize than the counterpart MOP-PR without *** propylene adsorption,MOP-PR has a low change of adsorption capacity(9.9%),while that of MOP-PR-LA reaches 58.6%.Density functional theory calculations revealed that PR in the cis state has a negative effect on adsorption,while the trans state of PR favors *** work might open an avenue for the construction of photoresponsive materials with high responsiveness and controllability.

Multi-omics analysis reveals the molecular regulatory network underlying the prevention of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum against LPS-induced salpingitis in laying hens

Background Salpingitis is one of the common diseases in laying hen production, which greatly decreases the economic outcome of laying hen farming. Lactiplantibacillus plantarum was effective in preventing local or systemic inflammation, however rare studies were reported on its prevention against salpingitis. This study aimed to investigate the preventive molecular regulatory network of microencapsulated Lactiplantibacillus plantarum(MLP) against salpingitis through multi-omics analysis, including microbiome, transcriptome and metabolome *** The results revealed that supplementation of MLP in diet significantly alleviated the inflammation and atrophy of uterus caused by lipopolysaccharide(LPS) in hens(P < 0.05). The concentrations of plasma IL-2 and IL-10 in hens of MLP-LPS group were higher than those in hens of LPS-stimulation group(CN-LPS group)(P < 0.05). The expression levels of TLR2, MYD88, NF-κB, COX2, and TNF-α were significantly decreased in the hens fed diet supplemented with MLP and suffered with LPS stimulation(MLP-LPS group) compared with those in the hens of CN-LPS group(P < 0.05). Differentially expressed genes(DEGs) induced by MLP were involved in inflammation, reproduction, and calcium ion transport. At the genus level, the MLP supplementation significantly increased the abundance of Phascolarctobacterium, whereas decreased the abundance of Candidatus_Saccharimonas in LPS challenged hens(P < 0.05). The metabolites altered by dietary supplementation with MLP were mainly involved in galactose, uronic acid, histidine, pyruvate and primary bile acid metabolism. Dietary supplementation with MLP inversely regulates LPSinduced differential metabolites such as Lyso PA(24:0/0:0)(P < 0.05).Conclusions In summary, dietary supplementation with microencapsulated Lactiplantibacillus plantarum prevented salpingitis by modulating the abundances of Candidatus_Saccharimonas, Phascolarctobacterium, Ruminococcus_torques_group and Eubacterium_hallii_group w

The development of efficient perovskite light-emitting diodes(PeLEDs)relies strongly on the fabrication of perovskite films with rationally designed structures(grain size,composition,surface,etc.).Therefore,an understanding of structure-performance relationships is of vital importance for developing high-performance perovskite devices,particularly for devices with in-situ fabricated perovskite nanocrystal *** this study,we reveal the vertical structure of an in-situ fabricated quasi-two-dimensional perovskite *** combining time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry,energy dispersive spectroscopy,grazing incidence wide-angle X-ray scattering(GIWAXS),and low-temperature photoluminescence spectra,we illustrate that the resulting in-situ fabricated DPPA_(2)Cs_(n-1)Pb_(n)(Br_(0.3)I_(0.7))_(3n+1)(DPPA^(+):3,3-diphenylpropylammonium)film has a gradient structure with a very thin layer of ligands on the surface,predominantly small-n domains at the top,and predominantly large-n domains at the bottom owing to the solubility difference of the *** addition,GIWAXS measurements show that the domain of n=2 on the top layer has an ordered in-plane *** on the understanding of the film structure,we developed an in-situ fabrication process with ligand exchange to achieve efficient pure red PeLEDs at 638 nm with an average external quantum efficiency(EQE)of 7.4%.The optimized device had a maximum luminance of 623 cd/m^(2) with a peak EQE of 9.7%.

Lidar based on the optical phased array(OPA)and frequency-modulated continuous wave(FMCW)technology stands out in automotive applications due to its all-solid-state design,high reliability,and remarkable resistance to ***,while FMCW coherent detection enhances the interference resistance capabilities,it concurrently results in a significant increase in depth computation,becoming a primary constraint for improving point cloud density in such perception *** address this challenge,this study introduces a lidar solution leveraging the flexible scanning characteristics of *** proposed system categorizes target types within the scene based on RGB ***,it performs scans with varying angular resolutions depending on the importance of the *** results demonstrate that,compared to traditional scanning methods,the target-adaptive method based on semantic segmentation reduces the number of points to about one-quarter while maintaining the resolution of the primary target ***,with a similar number of points,the proposed approach increases the point cloud density of the primary target area by about four times.
