Architectural Design of a Cloud Robotic System for Upper-Limb Rehabilitation with Multimodal Interaction

The rise in the cases of motor impairing therapy. Due to the current situation that the service illnesses demands the research for improvements in rehabilitation of the professional therapists cannot meet the need of the motorimpaired subjects, a cloud robotic system is proposed to provide an Internet-based process for upper-limb rehabilitation with multimodal interaction. In this system, therapists and subjects are connected through the Internet using client/server architecture. At the client site, gradual virtual games are introduced so that the subjects can control and interact with virtual objects through the interaction devices such as robot arms. Computer graphics show the geometric results and interaction haptic/force is fed back during exercising. Both video/audio information and kinematical/physiological data axe transferred to the therapist for monitoring and analysis. In this way, patients can be diagnosed and directed and therapists can manage therapy sessions remotely. The rehabilitation process can be monitored through the Internet. Expert libraries on the central server can serve as a supervisor and give advice based on the training data and the physiological data. The proposed solution is a convenient application that has several features taking advantage of the extensive technological utilization in the area of physical rehabilitation and multimodal interaction.

The high-speed advances in electromagnetic(EM)wave and laser detection technology have accelerated the innovation of absorbing materials toward specific multi-band *** is difficult to achieve dual absorption of EM waves and near-infrared lasers by absorbing materials in a single frequency band;the design of high-performance laser-EM wave multi-band compatible absorbing materials is ***,ErBO_(3)@ATO(erbium borate/antimony-doped tin oxide)porous composite microspheres with an average size of 15-20μm are produced solvothermal method and self-assembly,which exhibit excellent laser-EM wave compatible *** porous structure on the surface of ErBO_(3)microspheres provides heterogeneous nucleation sites for ATO particle *** minimum reflectivity of the composite for1.06 and 1.54μm lasers is 9.59%and 4.79%,which is0.57%and 3.78%lower than those of pure ATO particles,*** composites containing 70 wt%porous ErBO_(3)@ATO reveal the minimum reflection loss(RL)value of-31.6 dB,and an effective absorption band width reaches 2.08 GHz at 2.5 mm *** mechanism of near-infrared laser and EM wave compatible absorption is the synergistic effect of the energy level transition of ErBO_(3)and the dielectric loss of ATO,coupled with the large surface area and porous structure of the micro ***,the designed porous ErBO_(3)@ATO composite microspheres can be an attractive choice for lasers and EM wave high-quality compatible absorption.

A four-dimensional delay differential equations(DDEs)model of malaria with standard incidence rate is *** utilizing the limiting system of the model and Lyapunov direct method,the global stability of equilibria of the model is obtained with respect to the basic reproduction number R_(0).Specifically,it shows that the disease-free equilibrium E^(0)is globally asymptotically stable(GAS)for R_(0)***,to obtain the global stability of the equilibrium E^(*)for R_(0)>1,the weak persistence of the model is proved by some analysis techniques.

The problem of the quantized dynamic output feedback controller design for networked control systems is mainly discussed. By using the quantized information of the system measurement output and the control input, a novel networked control system model is described. This model includes many networkinduced features, such as multi-rate sampled-data, quantized signal, time-varying delay and packet dropout. By constructing suitable Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, a less conservative stabilization criterion is established in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The quantized control strategy involves the updating values of the quantizer parameters μi（i = 1, 2）（μi take on countable sets of values which dependent on the information of the system measurement outputs and the control inputs）. Furthermore, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The article presents a novel orthogonal frequency division multiplexing （OFDM） frame synchronization method. The method uses the preamble that contains two identical halves, and the energy difference of the two similar parts of the received preamble in receiver is used to obtain the frame＇s correct starting point. Furthermore, an improvement of the proposed method is presented, which uses the preamble that can be divided into four similar portions, and the energy difference of the four similar parts of the received preamble in receiver is used to obtain the frame＇s correct starting point. The performances of the frame synchronization methods in multipath channel are compared in terms of mean square error （MSE） obtained by simulations. It can be seen from the simulation results that the proposed methods have better performances than Schmidl＇s, Minn＇s, and Park＇s method in multipath channel.

In this work,a monomer with double bond was introduced to the surface of clay nanosheets via inclusion complexation between cyclodextrin（CD）host and azobenzene（Azo）guest,as well as electrostatic interaction between clay nanoplatelets and cations of azobenzene *** obtained suprastructure acts as a supramolecular cross-linker in its copolymerization with macromonomer PEG resulting in a hybrid supramolecular *** viscous liquid was obtained in the absence of clay nanoplatelets,revealing the supramolecular cross-linker played an important role in the hydrogel *** hybrid supramolecular hydrogel exhibited good stability and shear thinning property.
