With the rapid growth of the Internet,the copyright protection problem occurs frequently,and unauthorized copying and distributing of geospatial data threaten the investments of data *** watermarking is a possible solution to solve this ***,watermarking causes modifications in the original data resulting in distortion and affects accuracy,which is very important to geospatial vector *** article provides distortion assessment of watermarked geospatial data using wavelet-based invisible *** wavelets at different wavelet decomposition levels are used for accuracy evaluation with the help of error measures such as maximum error and mean square *** correlation is used as a similarity index between original and extracted *** is observed that the increase in the strength of embedding increases visual *** wavelet outperforms the other wavelets,and the third wavelet decomposition level is proved to be optimal level for watermarking.

We present a phenomenological treatment of diffusion-driven martensitic phase transformations in multi-component crystalline solids that arise from non-convex free energies in mechanical and chemical *** treatment describes diffusional phase transformations that are accompanied by symmetry-breaking structural changes of the crystal unit cell and reveals the importance of a mechanochemical spinodal,defined as the region in strain–composition space,where the free-energy density function is *** approach is relevant to phase transformations wherein the structural order parameters can be expressed as linear combinations of strains relative to a high-symmetry reference *** governing equations describing mechanochemical spinodal decomposition are variationally derived from a free-energy density function that accounts for interfacial energy via gradients of the rapidly varying strain and composition fields.A robust computational framework for treating the coupled,higher-order diffusion and nonlinear strain gradient elasticity problems is *** the local strains in an inhomogeneous,transforming microstructure can be finite,the elasticity problem must account for geometric *** evaluation of available experimental phase diagrams and first-principles free energies suggests that mechanochemical spinodal decomposition should occur in metal hydrides such as ZrH_(2−2c).The rich physics that ensues is explored in several numerical examples in two and three dimensions,and the relevance of the mechanism is discussed in the context of important electrode materials for Li-ion batteries and high-temperature ceramics.

Background：Depending on tree and site characteristics crown biomass accounts for a significant portion of the total aboveground biomass in the *** biomass estimation is useful for different purposes including evaluating the economic feasibility of crown utilization for energy production or forest products,fuel load assessments and fire management strategies,and wildfire ***,crown biomass is difficult to predict because of the variability within and among species and *** the allometric equations used for predicting crown biomass should be based on data collected with precise and unbiased sampling *** this study,we evaluate the performance different sampling strategies to estimate crown biomass and to evaluate the effect of sample size in estimating crown ***：Using data collected from 20 destructively sampled trees,we evaluated 11 different sampling strategies using six evaluation statistics：bias,relative bias,root mean square error（RMSE）,relative RMSE,amount of biomass sampled,and relative biomass *** also evaluated the performance of the selected sampling strategies when different numbers of branches（3,6,9,and 12）are selected from each *** specific log linear model with branch diameter and branch length as covariates was used to obtain individual branch ***：Compared to all other methods stratified sampling with probability proportional to size estimation technique produced better results when three or six branches per tree were ***,the systematic sampling with ratio estimation technique was the best when at least nine branches per tree were *** the stratified sampling strategy,selecting unequal number of branches per stratum produced approximately similar results to simple random sampling,but it further decreased RMSE when information on branch diameter is used in the design and estimation ***：Use of auxiliary information in design or estimation phase reduc

This article presents some new results on the class SLMα of functions that are analytic in the open unit disc U = {z ：｜z｜〈 1} satisfying the conditions that f（0） =0, f＇（0）= 1, and α（1＋zf＇＇（z）/f＇（z）＋（1-α）zf＇（z）/f（z）∈p（U）for all z ∈ U, where αis a real number and p（z）=1＋r^2z^2/1-Tz-T^2z^2（z∈ U）. The number T = （1 -√5）/2 is such that T^2 = 1 ＋ T. The class SFLMa introduced by J. Dziok, R.K. Raina, and J. Sokot [3, Appl. Math. Comput. 218 （2011）, 996-1002] is closely related to the classes of starlike and convex functions. The article deals with several ideas and techniques used in geometric function theory and differential subordinations theory.

Prediction of primary quality variables in real time with adaptation capability for varying process conditions is a critical task in process *** article focuses on the development of non-linear adaptive soft sensors for prediction of naphtha initial boiling point(IBP)and end boiling point(EBP)in crude distillation *** this work,adaptive inferential sensors with linear and non-linear local models are reported based on recursive just in time learning(JITL)*** different types of local models designed are locally weighted regression(LWR),multiple linear regression(MLR),partial least squares regression(PLS)and support vector regression(SVR).In addition to model development,the effect of relevant dataset size on model prediction accuracy and model computation time is also *** show that the JITL model based on support vector regression with iterative single data algorithm optimization(ISDA)local model(JITL-SVR:ISDA)yielded best prediction accuracy in reasonable computation time.

The Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 set seven global targets of which the first two targets are to reduce disaster deaths(target A) and diminish the number of affected people globally(target B)by *** realize these targets,the United Nations general Assembly’s Expert Working group provided indicators to measure progress as well as terminologies for these targets in *** around these targets is *** article contributes to the understanding of the targets by exploring:(1) what are the conditions that may hinder achieving targets,as well as those that may accelerate their achievement at the national and local levels;and(2) which types of organizations should lead a country’s effort to reduce disaster deaths?These questions were answered by opinion survey research carried out at the Sixth Session of the global Platform for Disaster Risk *** participants identified disaster risk reduction efforts,early warning systems,awareness,finance and investment(among others) as the important facilitating factors to achieve targets A and *** investment in human security,lack of response and coordination,uncertainty of climate change,poor information,lack of campaigns and low budget allocation(among others) are considered as the important hindering factors for these targets by the *** findings also suggest that the facilitating and hindering variables of targets A and B are interconnected with global target E(disaster risk governance and capacity building).The majority of the participants thought that it is the national government who should lead in a country’s effort to reduce disaster *** on these findings,a few recommendations have been made to improve policy and practice related to the indicators as well as to reimagine theories so that targets A and B can be realized in alignment with target E at the national and local levels by 2030.

The pathway from clinical suspicion to establishing the diagnosis of biliary atresia in a child with jaundice is a daunting task. However, investigations available help to point towards the correct diagnosis in reasonable time frame. Imaging by Sonography has identified several parameters which can be of utility in the diagnostic work up. Comparison of Sonography with imaging by Nuclear medicine can bring out the significant differences and also help in appropriate imaging. The battery of Biochemical tests, available currently, enable better understanding of the line-up of investigations in a given child with neonatal cholestasis. Management protocols enable standardized care with optimal outcome. The place of surgical management in biliary atresia is undisputed, although Kasai procedure and primary liver transplantation have been pitted against each other. This article functions as a platform to bring forth the various dimensions of biliary atresia.

Dear Editor, A microgravity environment in space, the elasticity of the tether,and complex flexible appendages make the tethered-towing system a nonlinear and underactuated system, which is sensitive and difficult to stabilize. This letter develops a controller based on wave propagation for tethered towing of defunct satellites, and carries out a robustness analysis of the controller via numerical simulation.
