Solid pseudopapillary neoplasm of the pancreas is a low-grade malignant tumor that predominantly affects young women in their third and fourth *** and risk factors are *** symptoms are aspecific and most commonly due to mass *** is made by computed tomography scan or magnetic resonance imaging and histological characterization is obtained by endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle ***,these lesions are composed by both solid and pseudopapillary structures with necrotic and hemorrhagic ***,the biological behavior is aggressive with tumor recurrence and distant ***,curative R0 surgical resection is the best option able to provide long term survival even in advanced *** disease is the main predictor of poor *** and radiotherapy regimens are not well ***,they could be effective in reducing tumor size as neoadjuvant treatment or disease control in palliative *** complete surgical resection provides a cure rate of>95%,considering young age of the patients and morbidity associated to pancreatic surgery,further studies are needed to better investigate risk factors and responsiveness to hormones in order to allow early diagnosis and follow up strategies that could avoid unnecessary surgery in less aggressive disease.

Currently,colorectal cancer(CRC)represents the third most common malignancy and the second most deadly cancer worldwide,with a higher incidence in developed *** other solid tumors,CRC is a heterogeneous genomic disease in which various alterations,such as point mutations,genomic rearrangements,gene fusions or chromosomal copy number alterations,can contribute to the disease ***,because of its orderly natural history,easily accessible onset location and high lifetime incidence,CRC is ideally suited for preventive intervention,but the many screening efforts of the last decades have been compromised by performance limitations and low penetrance of the standard screening *** advent of next-generation sequencing(NGS)has both facilitated the identification of previously unrecognized CRC features such as its relationship with gut microbial pathogens and revolutionized the speed and throughput of cataloguing CRC-related genomic ***,in this review,we summarized the several diagnostic tools used for CRC screening in the past and the present,focusing on recent NGS approaches and their revolutionary role in the identification of novel genomic CRC characteristics,the advancement of understanding the CRC carcinogenesis and the screening of clinically actionable targets for personalized medicine.

No-tillage practices have a recognised beneficial impact on soil and water conservation while reducing erosion processes and enhancing soil organic matter ***,scientists continue to debate the effectiveness of no-tillage in reducing soil carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emissions from *** the same line of inquiry pursued by the authors who reviewed the impact of conservative practices on direct CO_(2)emissions,we applied meta-analytic and machine learning techniques to unravel the effect of no-tillage under contrasting pedo-environmental conditions and agricultural *** analysed fifty-six experimental studies investigating direct soil CO_(2)emissions from no-tillage and conventional tillage practices(102 paired observations),considering pedological(soil texture,soil organic carbon content),environmental(climate type),and management(crop rotation,experiment duration)*** estimated the effect of different practices on the daily amount of soil CO_(2)emissions,and the impact of tillage in the period immediately following the *** main insights of this study are:(i)the conditions leading to the highest reduction of CO_(2)emissions due to no-tillage were long-term experiments(standardised mean differenceβ=0.64)conducted in arid environments(β=0.76)and clay soils(β=0.81),with low organic carbon content(β=0.79)where crop rotations(β=0.65)were performed;(ii)the same conditions were associated with the lowest absolute CO_(2)emissions,irrespective of soil management;(iii)the highest contribution to the variability of absolute soil CO_(2)emissions was associated with soil texture(mean decrease in accuracy of Random Forest models,MDA=4.57),rotation(MDA=3.07),experiment duration(MDA=2.93)and soil organic carbon content(MDA=2.24),rather than to tillage practices;(iv)soil CO_(2)emissions almost doubled in the first day after a tillage event,consistently across studies(p=0.001).This meta-analysis offers quantitative figures on the impact of tillage

Geochemical maps are of great value in mineral *** geochemical anomaly maps provide comprehensive information about mapping assemblages of element concentrations to possible types of mineralization/ore,but vary depending on expert's knowledge and *** paper aims to test the capability of deep neural networks to delineate integrated anomaly based on a case study of the Zhaojikou Pb-Zn deposit,Southeast *** hundred fifty two samples were collected,and each sample consisted of 26 variables covering elemental composition,geological,and tectonic *** first,generative adversarial networks were adopted for data ***,DNN was trained on sets of synthetic and real data to identify an integrated ***,the results of DNN analyses were visualized in probability maps and compared with traditional anomaly maps to check its *** showed that the average accuracy of the validation set was 94.76%.The probability maps showed that newly-identified integrated anomalous areas had a probability of above 75%in the northeast *** also showed that DNN models that used big data not only successfully recognized the anomalous areas identified on traditional geochemical element maps,but also discovered new anomalous areas,not picked up by the elemental anomaly maps previously.

The classical theory of mass-spring-damper-type dynamical systems on the ordinary flat space R^3 may be generalized to higher-dimensional Riemannian manifolds by reformulating the basic underlying physical principles through differential *** dynamical systems have been studied in the scientific literature because they arise naturally from the modeling of complex physical structures and because such dynamical systems constitute the basis for several modern applications such as the secure transmission of *** flows of nonlinear dynamical systems may evolve over time in complex,non-repeating(although deterministic) *** focus of the present paper is on formulating the general equations that describe the dynamics of a point-wise particle sliding on a Riemannian manifold in a coordinate-free *** paper shows how the equations particularize in the case of some manifolds of interest in the scientific literature,such as the Stiefel manifold and the manifold of symmetric positive-definite matrices.

BACKGROUND Bleedings are an independent risk factor for subsequent mortality in patients with acute coronary syndromes(ACS)and in those undergoing percutaneous coronary *** represents a hazard equivalent to or greater than that for recurrent *** antiplatelet therapy(DAPT)represents the cornerstone in the secondary prevention of thrombotic events,but the benefit of such therapy is counteracted by the increased hemorrhagic ***,an early and individualized patient risk stratification can help to identify high-risk patients who could benefit the most from intensive medical therapies while minimizing unnecessary treatment complications in low-risk *** To review existing literature and gain better understanding of the role of ischemic and hemorrhagic risk scores in patients with ischemic heart disease(IHD).METHODS We used a combination of terms potentially used in literature describing the most common ischemic and hemorrhagic risk scores to search in PubMed as well as references of full-length *** In this review we briefly describe the most important ischemic and bleeding scores that can be adopted in patients with IHD,focusing on GRACE,CHA2DS2-Vasc,PARIS CTE,DAPT,CRUSADE,ACUITY,HAS-BLED,PARIS MB and PRECISE-DAPT *** the second part of this review,we try to define a possible approach to the IHD patient,using the most suitable scores to stratify patient risk and decide the most appropriate patient *** It becomes evident that risk scores by themselves can’t be the solution to balance the ischemic/bleeding risk of an IHD ***,some risk factors that are commonly associated with an elevated risk profile and that are already included in risk scores should be the focus of the clinician while he/she is taking care of a patient affected by IHD.
