This paper presents a high-order coupled compact integrated RBF(CC IRBF)approximation based domain decomposition(dd)algorithm for the discretisation of second-order differential *** Schwarz dd algorithms,including one-level additive/multiplicative and two-level additive/multiplicative/hybrid,are *** CCIRBF based dd algorithms are analysed with different mesh sizes,numbers of subdomains and overlap sizes for Poisson *** convergence analysis shows that the CCIRBF two-level multiplicative version is the most effective algorithm among various schemes employed ***,the present CCIRBF two-level method converges quite rapidly even when the domain is divided into many subdomains,which shows great promise for either serial or parallel *** practical tests,we then incorporate the CCIRBF into serial and parallel two-level multiplicative *** numerical examples,including those governed by Poisson and Navier-Stokes equations are analysed to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the serial and parallel algorithms implemented with the *** results show:(i)the CCIRBF-Serial and-Parallel algorithms have the capability to reach almost the same solution accuracy level of the CCIRBF-Single domain,which is ideal in terms of computational calculations;(ii)the CCIRBF-Serial and-Parallel algorithms are highly accurate in comparison with standard finite difference,compact finite difference and some other schemes;(iii)the proposed CCIRBF-Serial and-Parallel algorithms may be used as alternatives to solve large-size problems which the CCIRBF-Single domain may not be able to deal *** ability of producing stable and highly accurate results of the proposed serial and parallel schemes is believed to be the contribution of the coarse mesh of the two-level domain decomposition and the CCIRBF *** is noted that the focus of this paper is on the derivation of highly accurate serial and parallel algorithms

The use of high-power lights during night-time purse seining is common in ***,metal halide(MH)lamps are used in the commercial fishery to attract fish,however these lights require more energy,have a shorter lifespan,and lower chromatic performance than light emitting diode(LEd)*** study examined catch efficiency and fuel consumption when using LEd lamps in combination with reduced numbers of MH lamps(10.24 kW),compared to conventional lighting(28.6 kW),used during purse seining off the coast of Ninh Thuan province,*** economic performance associated with using LEd lamps in this fishery was also *** found no significant differences in catch rates between the different light treatments,however fuel consumption was significantly *** consumption per nightly trip using LEd with MH lamps was 70.8 l(11.1 l/h)compared to114 l(17.45 l/hr)using MH lamps alone,an estimated 37.9%reduction in fuel *** investment in LEd lamps by a fishing enterprise will require additional initial costs,however our analysis revealed the financial break-event point can be reached after approximately 101 nightly trips when the fuel price is at the 2015 level of USd$0.74 per *** enterprises can increase their profitability,and reduce CO2 emissions,by using LEd lamps in the Vietnamese purse seine fishery.

The rapid development of molecular dynamics(Md)simulations,as well as classical and reactive atomic potentials,has enabled tribologists to gain new insights into lubrication performance at the fundamental ***,the impact of adopted potentials on the rheological properties and tribological performance of hydrocarbons has not been researched *** extensive study analyzed the effects of surface structure,applied load,and force field(FF)on the thin film lubrication of *** lubricant film became more solid‐like as the applied load *** particular,with increasing applied load,there was an increase in the velocity slip,shear viscosity,and *** degree of ordering structure also changed with the applied load but rather *** was also significantly dependent on the surface *** chosen FFs significantly influenced the lubrication performance,rheological properties,and molecular *** adaptive intermolecular reactive empirical bond order(AIREBO)potential resulted in more significant liquid‐like behaviors,and the smallest velocity slip,degree of ordering structure,and shear stress were compared using the optimized potential for liquid simulations of united atoms(OPLS‐UAs),condensed‐phase optimized molecular potential for atomic simulation studies(COMPASS),and ***,classical potentials,such as OPLS‐UA and COMPASS,exhibit more solid‐like behavior than reactive potentials ***,owing to the solid‐like behavior,the lubricant temperatures obtained from OPLS‐UA and COMPASS were much lower than those obtained from AIREBO and *** increase in shear stress,as well as the decrease in velocity slip with an increase in the surface potential parameterζ,remained conserved for all chosen FFs,thus indicating that the proposed surface potential parameterζfor the COMPASS FF can be verified for a wide range of atomic models.

The present work is concerned with a two-dimensional(2d)Stokes flow through a channel bounded by two parallel solid *** distance between the walls may be arbitrary,and the surface of one of the walls can be arbitrarily *** main objective of this work consists in homogenizing the heterogeneous interface between the rough wall and fluid so as to obtain an equivalent smooth slippery fluid/solid interface characterized by an effective slip *** solve the corresponding problem,two efficient numerical approaches are elaborated on the basis of the method of fundamental solution(MFS)and the boundary element methods(BEMs).They are applied to different cases where the fluid/solid interface is periodically or randomly *** results obtained by the proposed two methods are compared with those given by the finite element method and some relevant ones reported in the *** comparison shows that the two proposed methods are particularly efficient and accurate.

This work presents an optimal harvesting problem associated with a single-species population governed by Gompertz law in a seasonally fluctuating *** influence of environmental fluctuation is accommodated by choosing the coefficients in the differential equation to be periodic functions with the same period and restriction on the harvesting effort is accommodated by considering binding constraints on the control ***,a linear optimal control problem has been considered where the state dynamics is governed by Gompertz equation and the control variable is subject to the binding *** the help of maximum principle and the concept of blocked intervals,an optimal periodic solution has been obtained which is followed by the construe tion of optimal solution using the theory of most rapid *** results of the study are demonstrated through numerical simulations.
