Background:Sleep disturbance is commonly seen in fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS);however,high quality studies involving manual therapies that target FMS-linked poor sleep quality are lacking for the Indian ***:Craniosacral therapy (CST),Bowen therapy and exercises have been found to influence the autonomic nervous system,which plays a crucial role in sleep *** the paucity of evidence concerning these effects in individuals with FMS,our study tests the effectiveness of CST,Bowen therapy and a standard exercise program against static touch (the manual placebo group) on sleep quality in ***,setting,participants and intervention:A placebo-controlled randomized trial was conducted on132 FMS participants with poor sleep at a hospital in *** participants were randomly allocated to one of the four study groups,including CST,Bowen therapy,standard exercise program,and a manual placebo control group that received static ***,Bowen therapy and static touch treatments were administered in once-weekly 45-minute sessions for 12 weeks;the standard exercise group received weekly supervised exercises for 6 weeks with home exercises until 12 *** 12 weeks,all study participants performed the standard exercises at home for another 12 *** outcome measures:Sleep quality,pressure pain threshold (PPT),quality of life and fibromyalgia impact,physical function,fatigue,pain catastrophizing,kinesiophobia,and positive–negative affect were recorded at baseline,and at weeks 12 and 24 of the ***:At the end of 12 weeks,the sleep quality improved significantly in the CST group (P=0.037) and Bowen therapy group (P=0.023),and the PPT improved significantly in the Bowen therapy group(P=0.002) and the standard exercise group (P<0.001),compared to the static touch *** improvements were maintained at 24 *** between-group differences were observed for other secondary ***:CST and Bowen therapy improv

Mobile adhoc networks have grown in prominence in recent years,and they are now utilized in a broader range of *** main challenges are related to routing techniques that are generally employed in *** Adhoc system management,on the other hand,requires further testing and improvements in terms of *** routing protocols,such as Adhoc On-Demand Distance Vector(AODV)and Dynamic Source Routing(DSR),employ the hop count to calculate the distance between two *** main aim of this research work is to determine the optimum method for sending packets while also extending life time of the *** is achieved by changing the residual energy of each network ***,in this paper,various algorithms for optimal routing based on parameters like energy,distance,mobility,and the pheromone value are ***,an approach based on a reward and penalty system is given in this paper to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed algorithms under the impact of *** simulation results unveil that the reward penalty-based approach is quite effective for the selection of an optimal path for routing when the algorithms are implemented under the parameters of interest,which helps in achieving less packet drop and energy consumption of the nodes along with enhancing the network efficiency.

Factors Associated with Orthodontic Tooth Movement in Periodontally Compromised Patients

There is no consistent relationship between malocclusion and periodontal disease but certain characteristics of malocclusion can promote a pathologic environment conducive to periodontal disease. One of the dramatic means available to improve the local environmental factors is through orthodontic tooth movement. The pretreatment periodontal conditions can include excessive tooth mobility, advanced crestal bone loss, infrabony defects, tipped molars, furcation involvement, and hard and soft tissue dehiscences. Movement of teeth in the presence of periodontal inflammation can result in an increased loss of attachment and irreversible crestal loss. Although absolute reduction in bone and attachment levels does not contraindicate orthodontic correction, it does increase the difficulty of delivering controlled orthodontic mechanics that would potentially minimize further bone loss. The present review article discusses the various factors that are associated with orthodontic tooth movement in periodontally compromised patients namely: 1) tooth movement into infrabony pockets;2) tooth movement into compromised bone areas;3) tooth movement through cortical bone;4) extrusion (eruption);5) intrusion;6) tipping.

目的研究9Cr马氏体钢在非服役条件下的腐蚀行为。方法运用传统电化学测试和微区扫描振动电极(SVET)技术研究材料的静态腐蚀行为,采用慢应变速率动态拉伸腐蚀试验与传统电化学测试技术相结合的方法研究材料的应力腐蚀行为。结果获得常温下氯离子对马氏体钢静态腐蚀行为的影响规律,以及慢拉伸过程中材料表面钝化膜生成和破裂过程。结论马氏体钢在氯化钠溶液中的腐蚀为阳极溶解型,且随着氯离子浓度的上升,局部腐蚀电流密度增大。常温下材料在含氯离子环境中发生弹性变形时,表面生成的钝化膜使材料的抗腐蚀性能升高。当材料进入塑性变形阶段后,由于金属表面缺陷的增多、颈缩区体积的收缩,以及钝化膜与基体金属塑性变形能力的差异,钝化膜逐渐溶解并发生破裂。

Performance Issues and Behavioral Analysis of Routing Protocols in MANETs

Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is an autonomous system of mobile nodes connected by wireless links. Infrastructure-less environment and frequently changing topology due to mobility of nodes makes routing a difficult task. There is no centralized control such as base station and can be set up according to demand wherever required. Effective routing protocol is required for finding the optimum path as per the application requirement. In this paper, analysis has been carried out about various basic routing protocols techniques, issues related to them especially in MANETs routing and performance comparison of different proposed approaches in terms of different network performance parameters.

Br?nsted acid catalysts have been used in a number of organic transformations. To overcome limi-tations, such as toxicity, volatility, high price and hazardous nature of the conventional methods, the catalysts are adsorbed on silica gel to give the benefits and advantages of ready availability, simple work-up procedure, long catalytic life, environment-friendliness, good to excellent yields and recy-clability. The uses of such catalysts have gained importance worldwide. This article describes some of the important silicated catalysts, namely, heteropolyacids, polyphosphoric acid, perchloric acid, fluoroboric acid, and silicated sulphuric acid. These catalysts have been used in a number of organic reactions to yield compounds that are important in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. We summarize the beneficial effects of these catalysts and the reports that have been published on them in the past several years. In the present review, the description of the catalysts are introduced followed by a recent research history, and a comparison between the silica supported catalysts and other(polymer) supported catalysts. The article ends up giving the advantages of these catalytic systems over the conventional catalyst.

Genetic Variability in Germplasm Accessions of <i>Capsicum annuum</i>L

Capsicum annuum is the most widely cultivated species of peppers (chilies) in the world. For culinary purposes, its fruits are used for pungency (capsaicin) and also color (capsanthin). Capsaicin is also used for medicinal purposes particularly in anti-inflammatory formulations. Genetic divergence among 38 accessions collected from diverse locations in India (28 from Uttar Pradesh, 5 from Assam, 3 from Maharashtra and 2 from Uttaranchal), was estimated from the data pooled over 3 consecutive years for 15 morphological, growth and chemotypic characters that included days to first and second flowering, fruit onset, plant height, primary, secondary and tertiary branches, leaf surface area, fruit length and diameter, fruit surface area, fresh and dry fruit weight, capsaicin and capsanthin content. Based on this characterization the plants could be grouped into 7 clusters wherein substantial diversity among accessions was indicated by the wide range of D2 values (752.901 - 1918683.00). Accessions with distinct identity were marked, which are likely to be quite suitable for breeding through hybridization combining desirable traits. The accessions labeled number 38, 27, 26, 14 and 24 to high capsaicin content (%);35, 23, 3, 16, 29 and 11 for high capsanthin content (%) and 26 and 27 for dual purpose had characteristics desirable. Above accessions could be utilized in hybridization programme for C. annuum crop improvement.
