In this paper the premixed catalytic combustion emissions such as CO, unburned hydrocarbon (UHC), NOx and the temperature distribution in the catalytic monolith with ultra low concentration of Pd were studied. Three types of monoliths were used for experiments and the temperature of preheated air was respectively 50℃ , 100℃ and 200℃ . The results showed that preheated air made radial temperature in the catalytic monolith uniform which helped to avoid local hot spots so as to decrease NOx emission. The experiment also proved that the shorter monolith showed much better catalytic combustion performance than longer one and the temperature at the exit of the shorter monolith was relatively lower. On the contrary, the temperature was higher in the longer monolith and the lethal NOx emission was slightly increased.

Effect of Several Common Processing Methods on Content Changes of Resistant Starch and Main Nutrients in ‘Luotian Chestnut’

Using ＇Luotian chestnut＇ as the raw material, the content changes of resistant starch and main nutrients in the processed fruit were studied after taken common processing of high-temperature steaming of canned food, sand-mixed frying and cooking without shells, with the aim to find out the effects of different processing methods on the content changes of nutrients in chestnuts. The result showed that there were significant differences in the resistant starch contents by different processing methods. After processing, the retention degree of resistant starch was the lowest using the methods of sand-mixed frying, of 42.42%, while the highest was found in canned chestnut products, of 93.16%. Among the main nutrients, adding water and sugar would reduce content of resistant starch, while increasing the protein content would promote the retention of resistant starch retention. The changes in lipid content had no effect or not a single promoting or weakening effects on the content of resistant starch.

[Objectives]This study was conducted to evaluate the value of local Brassicaceae potherb resources in Shiyan City.[Methods]Seven species of local Brassicaceae edible plants resources in Shiyan City,including Cardamine hirsuta L.,Cardamine flexuosa,Cardamine impatiens L.,Capsella bursa-pastoris(Linn.),Orychophragmus violaceus(L.)***,Draba nemorosa L.,Rorippa indica(L.)Hiern.,were investigated using sampling method,and their value was evaluated.[Results]①Shiyan City was rich in resources of local Brassicaceae potherbs,mostly of which grew in humid areas.②In the communities of target species,there were 20 species of plants in 19 genera of 15 families in the arbor layer,19 species of plants in 16 genera from 15 families in the shrub layer,and 58 species of plants in 51 genera from 23 families in the herbaceous *** tree,shrub and herb species with the highest dominance Populus simonii ***,Robinia pseudoacacia and Chrysanthemum *** Brassicaceae potherbs in Shiyan City have high edible and medicinal value,especially Cardamine,which has strong selenium-rich ability and is worthy of vigorous development.[Conclusions]This study provides scientific basis and reference for the development and utilization of local potherbs of Brassicaceae in this area.

In order to explore moldy mechanism of chestnut from Luotian County in storage process,the strains of pathogenic fungi were isolated from chestnuts after storage at room temperature for *** genera of fungi were found in chestnut through experimental identification,which were Ozoniumsp.,Fusarium sp.,Aspergillus sp.,Penicilliumsp.,Rhiopus *** Stachybotrys sp.,*** re-inoculation tests had been conducted on pathogenic fungi whose isolating rate was greater than 10%.The result showed that the rest genera of fungi generally had no pathogenicity except *** infect non-injured chestnut with a lower moldy rate and lighter symptoms;but the moldy rate of strains was above 60% in injured inoculation and they showed heavy symptoms,among which the moldy rate of *** Aspergillus *** higher than 80%.The experimental results showed that injured chestnut were more likely to *** Aspergillus *** important pathogenic fungi causing decay during storage process of chestnut.

Negative Phototropism of Chlorophytum comosum Roots and Their Mechanisms

The aerial roots of Chlorophytum comosum were grown hydroponically,allowing us to study the performance and mechanism of negative phototropism. The results of this study were as follows. All the adventitious roots and their branch roots bent away from light with a maximum curvature of approximately 88.5°. Blue-violet light prominently induced negative phototropism while red light had no effect. The root cap was the site of photo perception. Roots with shaded or divested root caps exposed to unilateral light showed no negative phototropism,but resumed their original characteristics when the shade was removed or when new root caps grew. The curvature increased when the light intensity ranged 0–110 μmol·m^(-2)·s^(-1). The negative phototropism curvature could be promoted by exogenous CaCl_2 but was inhibited by exogenous LaCl_3; exogenous CaCl_2 could reduce the inhibitory effect of LaCl_3. Unilateral light induced the horizontal transport of IAA from the irradiated side to the shaded side,resulting in an unequal distribution of IAA in both the sides,leading to negative phototropism. The horizontal transport of IAA was promoted by exogenous Ca^(2+) but inhibited by exogenous La^(3+).
