BACKGROUND Adolescent major depressive disorder(MDD)is a significant mental health concern that often leads to recurrent depression in ***-state functional magnetic resonance imaging(rs-fMRI)offers unique insights into the neural mechanisms underlying this ***,despite previous research,the specific vulnerable brain regions affected in adolescent MDD patients have not been fully *** To identify consistent vulnerable brain regions in adolescent MDD patients using rs-fMRI and activation likelihood estimation(ALE)*** We performed a comprehensive literature search through July 12,2023,for studies investigating brain functional changes in adolescent MDD *** utilized regional homogeneity(ReHo),amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations(ALFF)and fractional ALFF(fALFF)*** compared the regions of aberrant spontaneous neural activity in adolescents with MDD vs healthy controls(HCs)using *** Ten studies(369 adolescent MDD patients and 313 HCs)were *** the ReHo and ALFF/fALFF data,the results revealed that the activity in the right cuneus and left precuneus was lower in the adolescent MDD patients than in the HCs(voxel size:648 mm3,P<0.05),and no brain region exhibited increased *** on the ALFF data,we found decreased activity in the right cuneus and left precuneus in adolescent MDD patients(voxel size:736 mm3,P<0.05),with no regions exhibiting increased *** Through ALE meta-analysis,we consistently identified the right cuneus and left precuneus as vulnerable brain regions in adolescent MDD patients,increasing our understanding of the neuropathology of affected adolescents.

Spherical Confinement Generates Entropic Force to Accelerate Polymer Chain Detachment

To understand the dynamic process of polymer detachment, it is necessary to determine the mean detachment time of a single breakable link, which is modeled as a spring. Normally, this time can be viewed as the escape of a Brownian particle from the potential well of the spring. However, as the free dangling length of the polymer chain increases, the conformational entropy of the chain is affected by geometric confinement. It means that the wall exerts a repulsive force on the chain, resulting in accelerated link detachment from a macroscopic perspective. In this work, we investigate the effect of entropy on the detachment rate in the case where the substrate is spherical. We demonstrate that spherical confinement accelerates chain detachment both inside and outside the sphere. An analytical expression for the mean detachment time of breakable links is given, which includes an additional pre-factor that is related to the partition function. Additionally, we analyze the expressions for entropic forces inside the sphere, outside the sphere, and on a flat wall, comparing their magnitudes to explain the difference in mean detachment time.

Tensile strength behavior of cement-stabilized dredged sediment reinforced by polypropylene fiber

This study evaluated the feasibility of using polypropylene fiber(PF)as reinforcement in improving tensile strength behavior of cement-stabilized dredged sediment(CDS).The effects of cement content,water content,PF content and length on the tensile strength and stress–strain behavioral evolutions were evaluated by conducting splitting tensile strength ***,the micro-mechanisms characterizing the tensile strength behavior inside PF-reinforced CDS(CPFDS)were clarified via analyzing macro failure and microstructure *** results indicate that the highest tensile strengths of 7,28,60,and 90 d CPFDS were reached at PF contents of 0.6%,1.0%,1.0%,and 1.0%,exhibiting values 5.96%,65.16%,34.10%,and 35.83%higher than those of CDS,***,3 mm,PF of showed the best reinforcement *** CPFDS exhibited obvious tensile strain-hardening characteristic,and also had better ductility than *** mix factor(C_(C)^(a)/C_(w)^(b))and time parameter(q_(t0)(t))of CDS,and the reinforcement index(k_(t-PF))of CPFDS were used to establish the tensile strength prediction models of CDS and CPFDS,considering multiple *** PF“bridge effect”and associated cementation-reinforcement coupling actions inside CPFDS were mainly responsible for tensile strength behavior *** key findings contribute to the use of CPFDS as recycled engineering soils.

Construction of hpaA gene from a clinical isolate of Helicobacter pyloriand identification of fusion protein

AIM: To clone hpaA gene from a clinical strain of Helicobacter pylori and to construct the expression vector of the gene and to identify immunity of the fusion ***: The hpaA gene from a clinical isolate Y06 of *** was amplified by high fidelity PCR. The nucleotide sequence of the target DNA amplification fragment was sequenced after T-A cloning. The recombinant expression vector inserted with hpaA gene was constructed. The expression of HpaA fusion protein in E. coli BL21DE3 induced by IPTG at different dosages was examined by *** blot with commercial antibody against whole cell of H. pylorias well as immunodiffusion assay with selfprepared rabbit antiserum against HpaA fusion protein were applied to determine immunity of the fusion protein. EliSA was used to detect the antibody against HpaA in sera of 125 patients infected with H. pylori and to examine HpaA expression of 109 clinical isolates of H. ***: In comparison with the reported corresponding sequences, the homologies of nucleotide and putative amino acid sequences of the cloned hpaA gene were from 94.25-97.32 % and 95.38-98.46 %, respectively. The output of HpaA fusion protein in its expression system of pET32ahpaA-BL21DE3 was approximately 40 % of the total bacterial proteins. HpaA fusion protein was able to combine with the commercial antibody against whole cell of H. pyloriand to induce rabbit producing specific antiserum with 1:4immunodiffusion titer after the animal was immunized with the fusion protein. 81.6 % of the serum samples from 125patients infected with ***(102/125) were positive for HpaA antibody and all of the tested isolates of ***(109/109) were detectable for ***: A prokaryotic expression system with high efficiency of *** gene was successfully *** HpaA expressing fusion protein showed satisfactory immunoreactivity and antigenicity. With pursuing high energy density batteries,traditional graphite anode could be unable to meet current needs[1-4].The high-capacity anodes have attracted increasing attention,such as lithium anodes and alloy-type anodes[5-8].Silicon anode,as a high-capacity alloy-type anode(3579 mAh/g),has attracted great attention[9].However,due to its unique electrochemical mechanism,significant changes in volume and morphology during charge/discharge process could lead to the decrease in cycling stability[9,10].Therefore,it is still challenging for silicon anode in tackling volume expansion and unstable interfaces.

Evolution of inclusions in vacuum induction melting of superalloys containing 70%return material

The variation law of inclusions type and size in the vacuum induction melting process and ingot of Ni-based superalloy containing 70%return material was studied by industrial test sampling,and the mechanism of inclusions formation was analyzed with thermodynamic *** results show that there are mainly two types of composite inclusions in the vacuum induction melting of Ni-based superalloys,which are nitride-and oxide-based composite inclusions,like Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)-Cr_(2)O_(3),TiN-(Mo,Nb)C,*** type and proportion of inclusions from the center to the edge of the vacuum induction ingot did not change *** number density of inclusions from the center to the edge of the ingot varied less,and the size of inclusions became smaller from the center to the *** addition,thermodynamic calculations show that oxides(M_(2)O_(3))are present in the liquid phase and mainly contain Al,Ti,Cr,Fe and O *** nitride consists mainly of Ti and N and contains small amounts of Cr,C,Nb,and Mo *** is consistent with the results of industrial *** the temperature decreases,the precipitation phases such as M_(2)O_(3),MN,γ,MC,δ,γ'andμphases are gradually precipitated,where oxides and nitrides are present in the liquid *** contents of O and N elements are the main influencing factors for the inclusions content and precipitation temperature;when the nitrogen content is reduced to below 0.0015%,it can make MN precipitate below the liquid-phase line.

Objective To investigate changes in the urinary metabolite profiles of children exposed to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)during critical brain development and explore their potential link with the intestinal *** liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry was used to determine ten hydroxyl metabolites of PAHs(OH-PAHs)in 36-month-old ***,37 children were categorized into low-and high-exposure groups based on the sum of the ten ***-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry was used to identify non-targeted metabolites in the urine ***,fecal flora abundance was assessed by 16S rRNA gene sequencing using Illumina *** The concentrations of 21 metabolites were significantly higher in the high exposure group than in the low exposure group(variable importance for projection>1,Plites were positively correlated with the hydroxyl metabolites of naphthalene,fluorine,and phenanthrene(r=0.336–0.531).The identified differential metabolites primarily belonged to pathways associated with inflammation or proinflammatory states,including amino acid,lipid,and nucleotide ***,these distinct metabolites were significantly associated with specific intestinal flora abundances(r=0.34–0.55),which were mainly involved in *** Higher PAH exposure in young children affected metabolic homeostasis,particularly that of certain gut microbiota-derived *** investigation is needed to explore the potential influence of PAHs on the gut microbiota and their possible association with neurodevelopmental outcomes.
