Effect of surfactant frequently used in soil flushing on oxygen mass transfer in micro-nano-bubble aeration system

In-site soil flushing and aeration are the typical synergetic remediation technology for contaminated *** surfactant present in flushing solutions is bound to affect the aeration *** purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of surfactant frequently used in soil flushing on the oxygen mass transfer in micro-nano-bubble(MNB)aeration ***,bio-surfactants and chemical surfactants were used to investigate their effects on Sauter mean diameter of bubble(dBS),gas holdup(ε),volumetric mass-transfer coefficient(kLa)and liquid-side mass-transfer coefficient(kL)in the MNB aeration ***,based upon the experimental results,the Sardeing's and Frossling's models were modified to describe the effect of surfactant on kL in the MNB *** results showed that,for the twenty aqueous surfactant solutions,with the increase in surfactant concentration,the value of dBS,kLa and kL decreased,while the value ofεand gas-liquid interfacial area(a)*** phenomena were mainly attributed to the synergistic effects of immobile bubble surface and the suppression of coalescence in the surfactant *** addition,with the presence of electric charge,MNBs in anionic surfactant solutions were smaller and higher in number than in non-ionic surfactant ***,the accumulation of surfactant on the gas-liquid interface was more conspicuous for small MNB,so the reduction of kL in anionic surfactant solutions was larger than that in non-ionic surfactant ***,the modified Frossling's model predicted the effect of surfactant on kL in MNB aeration system with reasonable accuracy.

Passive sampling technology has good application prospects for monitoring trace pollutants in aquatic *** research on the sampling mechanism of this technology is essential to improve the measurement accuracy and extend the application scope of this *** this study,adsorption and permeation experiments were performed to investigate the sorption and mass transfer properties of five chiral pharmaceuticals at the enantiomeric level on polyethersulfone(PES)and polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)membranes used in a polar organic chemical integrative *** adsorption experiments showed that the PES membrane had an adsorption phenomenon for most selected pollutants and an insignificant sorption behavior was observed for all selected pharmaceuticals on the PTFE membrane except for R(S)-*** diffusion coefficients of selected pharmaceuticals onto the PTFE membrane were approximately one order of magnitude higher than those onto the PES *** permeation experiment indicated that under different hydraulic conditions,the change of the relative pollutant concentration through the PTFE membrane for the composite pollutant system was more obvious than that for the single pollutant system,and mass transfer hysteresis exists for both contaminant systems through PES *** the first-order equation or 3-component model to estimate the overall mass transfer coefficients,the results showed that the overall mass transfer coefficient values of pollutants in the composite pollutant system onto both membranes were higher than those in the single pollutant *** parameter was mainly influenced by the synergistic effects of the multi-analyte interaction and diminished water boundary layers during the mass transfer process.

The demand for optically transparent temperature sensors in intelligent devices is ***,the performance of these sensors,particularly in terms of their sensitivity and resolution,must be further *** study introduces a novel transparent and highly sensitive temperature sensor characterized by its ultrathin,freestanding design based on a Mn-Co-Ni-O *** Mn-Co-Ni-O-based sensor exhibits remarkable sensitivity,with a temperature coefficient of resistance of−4%℃^(−1),and can detect minuscule temperature fluctuations as small as 0.03℃.Additionally,the freestanding sensor can be transferred onto any substrate for versatile application while maintaining robust structural stability and excellent resistance to interference,indicating its suitability for operation in challenging *** practical utility in monitoring the surface temperature of optical devices is demonstrated through vertical integration of the sensor and a micro light-emitting diode on a polyimide ***,an experiment in which the sensor is implanted in rats confirms its favorable biocompatibility,highlighting the promising applications of the sensor in the biomedical domain.

Effects of Gambogic Acid on Regulation of Steroid Receptor Coactivator-3 in Lung Adenocarcinoma A549 Cells

Objective： To investigate the effects of gambogic acid （GA） on the proliferation and apoptosis of Human lung adenocarcinoma A549 cells in vitro, as well as the regulation of steroid receptor coactivator-3 （SRC-3） to explore the relationship between them. Methods： The effect of GA on the growth of A549 cells was studied by MTT assay. Apoptosis was detected through Hoechst 33258 staining. RT-PCR and Western blot technologies were applied to assess the expression of SRC-3, whereas, the localization of SRC-3 was determined by using confocal microscopy method. Results： GA presented striking proliferation inhibition potency on A549 cells in vitro in a time- and dose-dependent manner, with the IC50 value for 24 h was 3.17±0.13 μmol/L. Hoechst 33258 staining showed that GA could induce apoptosis in A549 cells. Over-expression of SRC-3 was found in A549 cells, whereas the mRNA and protein expression levels of SRC-3 were significantly downregulated in A549 cells induced by GA in a dose-dependent manner. The disposition of SRC-3 was situated mainly at the nuclear. Conclusion： GA may exert its strong anti-leukemia effects through the regulation of the expression of SRC-3. It may be a new target for the therapy of lung cancer.

Existing rape combine harvester with a cyclone separation cleaning device has the challenge that the loss rate and the cleaning rate increase and decrease simultaneously.A cleaning process route was proposed,which involves the cyclone separation cleaning device removing light and tiny impurities,and the cylinder sieve device removing coarse and long impurities such as pod shells and short stems.A novel cleaning system combining the cyclone separation cleaning device and cylinder sieve cleaning devices was *** ranges of the structure and operation parameters for each component were analyzed based on kinematics and dynamic analysis.A four-factor five-level quadratic orthogonal test was carried out,in which the loss rate and cleaning rate were taken as the evaluation *** velocity at the suction port,the rotation speed of the cylinder sieve,the screw pitch of the spiral blade and the diameter of the sieve hole were taken as the influencing *** orthogonal test results showed that the cleaning system performed best at a rotation speed of the winnower is 600 r/min,an airflow velocity at the suction port is 18.25 m/s,a rotation speed of the cylinder sieve is 87 r/min,a screw pitch of the spiral blade is 440 mm and a diameter of the sieve hole is 4.48 *** this time,the loss rate of the cleaning system is 3.22%,and the cleaning rate is 95.67%.Compared to the conventional cyclone separation cleaning device,the loss rate is reduced by 2.17%and the cleaning rate is increased by 1.05%.This study can provide a reference for the optimal cleaning system design for rape combine harvesters.

The semi-rigid pile-supported composite foundation is widely used in highway projects due to its effectiveness in increasing the bearing capacity and stability of *** is crucial to understand the stress distribution across the embankment width and the behaviour of unreinforced ***,five centrifuge tests were conducted to examine the bearing and deformation behaviours of NPRS(Non-Connected Piled Raft Systems)and GRPS(GeosyntheticReinforced Pile-Supported systems)with varying substratum stiffness,then a comparative analysis was conducted on embankment settlement,pressures underneath the embankments,and axial forces along the *** results indicated that greater substratum stiffness correlates with reduced settlement and deformation at various *** occurring 5 meters from the embankment toe includes settlement in NPRS and upward movement in *** potential sliding surface is primarily located within the embankment in NPRS,whereas it may extend through both the embankment and foundation in *** pile-soil stress ratio and efficiency in NPRS are higher than in GRPS across the *** axial force borne by end-bearing piles is significantly greater than that by floating *** the buried depth increases,the axial force in GRPS initially rises then declines,whereas in NPRS,it remains relatively constant within a certain range before *** study aids in assessing the applicability of composite foundations in complex railway environments and provides a reference for procedural measures under similar conditions.

The development of efficient Si–O bond formation reaction with 100% atom-economy, excellent functional group tolerance, and broad scope under mild conditions is highly desired due to the prevalence of silanol, silyl ether, and their derivatives in synthetic chemistry and materials science. Here, we have realized the Pd-catalyzed Si–O formation reaction via a Si–C activation approach with 100% atom-economy by employing silacyclobutanes(SCBs) and various hydroxy-containing substrates, including water,alcohols, phenols, and silanols. This protocol features a broad substrate scope, remarkable functional compatibility and mild conditions, providing a series of silanols, silyl ethers in high efficiency. Notably, this protocol could also be used for selective protection of hydroxy functionalities, and for the access of a class of novel polymers containing Si–O main chain. Preliminary mechanistic studies unveiled that this reaction underwent a Pd-catalyzed concerted ring-opening mechanism.

Detection of maneuvering small targets has always been an important yet challenging task for radar signal *** primary reason is that target variable motions within coherent processing interval generate energy migrations across multiple resolution bins,which severely deteriorate the parameter estimation performance.A coarse-to-fine strategy for the detection of maneuvering small targets is *** of small points segmented coherently is performed first,and then an optimal inter-segment integration is utilized to derive the coarse estimation of the chirp *** fractional Fourier transform(FrFT)is then employed to refine the coarse estimation at a significantly reduced computational *** results verify the proposed scheme that achieves an efficient and reliable maneuvering target detection with-16dB input signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),while requires no exact a priori knowledge on the motion parameters.
