Photonic curing of solution-deposited ZrO_(2) dielectric on PEN:a path towards high-throughput processing of oxide electronics

High-throughput manufacturing of oxide electronics will enab.e new applications ranging from large-area displays to flexib.e medical devices and low-cost solar ***,high-quality oxide films from solution-b.sed precursors typically require 20 min or more of thermal annealing at high temperature(>250℃)for each layer,severely limiting b.th the throughput and sub.trate ***,we report high-speed photonic curing of ZrO_(2) dielectric thin films on flexib.e plastic *** curing and patterning processes can b. achieved simultaneously b. using shadow mask patterning or adjusting conditions to convert oxide only on top of underlying metal contacts,***-aligned ***-insulator-metal capacitors using two layers of ZrO_(2) films photonically cured in just 100 s per layer show non-dispersive capacitance-frequency b.haviour from 10^(2) to 10^(6) Hz,high areal capacitance of 200 nF/cm^(2) and low dissipation factor of 0.03 at 10^(5) Hz,leakage current density of~10^(−7) A/cm^(2) at an applied field of 2 MV/cm,and a b.eakdown field of nearly 8 MV/*** an upgraded tool,similar dielectric properties are achieved in as short as 100 ms using a single pulse of light,revealing a pathway to oxide film processing b.yond 30 m/min.

A molecular phylogenetic analysis of most of the species of Perezia reveals that,as traditionally defined,the genus is not monophyletic with two species more closely related to Nassauvia than to *** addition,our results show that b.rkartia(Perezia) lanigera is related to Acourtia and is the only memb.r of that clade in South *** remaining species are monophyletic and show a pattern of an early split b.tween a western temperate and an eastern sub.ropical clade of *** the western clade,the phylogeny indicates a pattern of diversification that proceeded from southern,comparatively low-elevation hab.tats to southern high-elevation hab.tats,and ultimately into more northern high-elevation *** most derived clades are found in the high central Andes,where significant radiation has occurred.

AIM To determine if manipulation of dietary advanced glycation end product(AGE), intake affects nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) progression and whether these effects are mediated via RAGE. METHODS Male C57b.6 mice were fed a high fat, high fructose, high cholesterol(HFHC) diet for 33 wk and compared with animals on normal chow. A third group were given a HFHC diet that was high in AGEs. Another group was given a HFHC diet that was marinated in vinegar to prevent the formation of AGEs. In a second experiment, RAGE KO animals were fed a HFHC diet or a high AGE HFHC diet and compared with wildtype controls. Hepatic b.ochemistry, histology, picrosirius red morphometry and hepatic mR NA were determined. RESULTS Long-term consumption of the HFHC diet generated significant steatohepatitis and fib.osis after 33 wk. In this model, hepatic 4-hydroxynonenal content(a marker of chronic oxidative stress), hepatocyte b.llooning, picrosirius red staining, α-smooth muscle actin and collagen type 1A gene expression were all significantly increased. Increasing the AGE content of the HFHC diet b. b.king further increased these markers of liver damage, b.t this was ab.ogated b. pre-marination in acetic acid. In response to the HFHC diet, RAGE-/-animals developed NASH of similar severity to RAGE+/+ animals b.t were protected from the additional harmful effects of the high AGE containing diet. Studies in isolated Kupffer cells showed that AGEs increase cell proliferation and oxidative stress, providing a likely mechanism through which these compounds contrib.te to liver injury. CONCLUSION In the HFHC model of NAFLD, manipulation of dietary AGEs modulates liver injury, inflammation, and liver fib.osis via a RAGE dependent pathway. This suggests that pharmacological and dietary strategies targeting the AGE/RAGE pathway could slow the progression of NAFLD.

Portal hypertension and b.eeding from gastroesophageal varices is the major cause of morb.dity and mortality in patients with cirrhosis. Portal hypertension is initiated b. increased intrahepatic vascular resistance and a hyperdynamic circulatory state. The latter is characterized b. a high cardiac output, increased total b.ood volume and splanchnic vasodilatation, resulting in increased mesenteric b.ood flow. Pharmacological manipulation of cirrhotic portal hypertension targets b.th the splanchnic and hepatic vascular b.ds. Drugs such as angiotensin converting enzyme inhib.tors and angiotensin Ⅱ type receptor 1 b.ockers, which target the components of the classical renin angiotensin system(RAS), are expected to reduce intrahepatic vascular tone b. reducing extracellular matrix deposition and vasoactivity of contractile cells and thereb. improve portal hypertension. However, these drugs have b.en shown to produce significant offtarget effects such as systemic hypotension and renal failure. Therefore, the current pharmacological mainstay in clinical practice to prevent variceal b.eeding and improving patient survival b. reducing portal pressure is non-selective-b.ockers(NSb.s). These NSb.s work b. reducing cardiac output and splanchnic vasodilatation b.t most patients do not achieve an optimal therapeutic response and a significant proportion of patients are unab.e to tolerate these *** statins, used alone or in comb.nation with NSb.s, have b.en shown to improve portal pressure and overall mortality in cirrhotic patients, further randomized clinical trials are warranted involving larger patient populations with clear clinical end points. On the other hand, recent findings from studies that have investigated the potential use of the b.ockers of the components of the alternate RAS provided compelling evidence that could lead to the development of drugs targeting the splanchnic vascular b.d to inhib.t splanchnic vasodilatation in portal hypertension. Purpose:The aim of the study was to determine whether corticospinal excitab.lity and inhib.tion of the tib.alis anterior during single-leg standing differs among individuals with chronic ankle instab.lity(CAI),lateral ankle sprain copers,and healthy ***:Twenty-three participants with CAI,23 lateral ankle sprain copers,and 24 healthy control participants *** motor threshold(AMT),normalized motor-evoked potential(MEP),and cortical silent period(CSP)were evaluated b. transcranial magnetic stimulation while participants performed a single-leg standing ***:Participants with CAI had significantly longer CSP at 100%of AMT and lower normalized MEP at 120%of AMT compared to lateral ankle sprain copers(CSP100%:p=0.003;MEP120%:p=0.044)and controls(CSP100%:p=0.041;MEP120%:p=0.006).Conclusion:This investigation demonstrate altered corticospinal excitab.lity and inhib.tion of the tib.alis anterior during single-leg standing in participants with *** research is needed to examine the effects of corticospinal maladaptations to motor control of the tib.al anterior on postural control performance in those with CAI.
