As one of the most important tumor-associated antigens of colorectal adenocarcinoma, the carcinoembryonic antigen （CEA） threatens human health seriously ali over the globe. Fast electrical and highly sensitive detection of the CEA with A1GaN/GaN high electron mobility transistor is demonstrated experimentally. To achieve a low detection limit, the Au-gated sensing area of the sensor is functionalized with a CEA aptamer instead of the corresponding antibody. The proposed aptasensor has successfully detected different concentrations （ranging from 50picogram/milliliter （pg/ml） to 50 nanogram/milliliter （ng/ml）） of CEA and achieved a detection limit as low as 50pg/ml at Vas = 0.5 V. The drain-source current shows a c/ear increase of 11.5μA under this bias.

QTL Mapping for Stalk Related Traits in Maize (Zea mays L.) Under Different Densities

Stalk related traits, comprising plant height （PH）, ear height （EH）, internode number （IN）, average internode length （ALL）, stalk diameter （SD）, and ear height coefficient （EHC）, are significantly correlated with yield, density tolerance, and lodging resistance in maize. To investigate the genetic basis for stalk related traits, a doubled haploid （DH） population derived from a cross between NX531 and NX110 were evauluated under two densities over 2 yr. The additive quantitative trait loci （QTLs）, epistatic QTLs were detected using inclusive composite interval mapping and QTL-by-environment interaction were detected using mixed linear model. Differences between the two densities were significant for the six traits in the DH population. A linkage map that covered 1 721.19 cM with an average interval of 10.50 cM was constructed with 164 simple sequence repeat （SSR）. Two, two, seven, six, two, and eight additive QTLs for PH, IN, AIL, EH, SD, and EHC, respectively. The extend of their contribution to penotypic variation ranged from 10.10 to 31.93%. Seven QTLs were indentified simultaneously under both densities. One pair, two pairs and one pair of epistatic effects were detected for AIL, SD and EHC, respectively. No epistatic effects were detected for PH, EH, and IN. Nineteen QTLs with environment interactions were detected and their contribution to phenotypic variation ranged from 0.43 to 1.89%. Some QTLs were stably detected under different environments or genetic backgrounds comparing with previous studies. These QTLs could be useful for genetic improvement of stalk related traits in maize breeding.

Gallium nitride- （GaN） based high electron mobility transistors （HEMTs） provide a good platform for biological detection. In this work, both Au-gated AlInN/GaN HEMT and AlGaN/GaN HEMT biosensors are fabricated for the detection of deoxyribonucleic acid （DNA） hybridization. The Au-gated AIInN/GaN HEMT biosensor exhibits higher sensitivity in comparison with the AlGaN/GaN HEMT biosensor. For the former, the drain-source current （VDS = 0.5 V） shows a clear decrease of 69μA upon the introduction of 1μmolL^-1 （μM） complimentary DNA to the probe DNA at the sensor area, while for the latter it is only 38 μA. This current reduction is a notable indication of the hybridization. The high sensitivity can be attributed to the thinner barrier of the AlInN/GaN heterostructure, which makes the two-dimensional electron gas channel more susceptible to a slight change of the surface charge.

Objective: To observe the antitumor effect and mechanism of recombinant human endostatin(Endostar) injection in tumor combined with intraperitoneal injection of cisplatin on subcutaneous transplanted Lewis lung cancer in rats. Methods: A total of 30 C57 rats were selected, and the monoplast suspension of Lewis lung cancer was injected into the left axilla to prepare the subcutaneous transplanted tumor models in the axilla of right upper limb. The models were randomly divided into Groups A, B, and C. Medication was conducted when the tumor grew to 400 mm3. Group A was the control group without any interventional treatment. Group B was injected with Endostar 5 ***-1.d for 10 d. Group C was given the injection of Endostar 5 ***-1.d combined with intraperitoneal injection of cisplatin 5 ***-1.d for 10 d. All the rats in three groups were executed the day after the 10-d medication and the tumor was taken off for measurement of volume and mass changes and calculation of antitumor rate, after which the vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) concentration in rats' plasma was determined by ELISA. The tumor tissues were cut for the preparation of conventional biopsies. After hematoxylin-eosin staining, the pathologic histology was examined to observe the structures of tumor tissues, VEGF score and microvessel density(MVD) in each group. Results: The volume and mass of tumor in Groups B and C were significantly lower than Group A(P < 0.05) while the tumor volume and mass in Group C were significantly lower than Group B(P < 0.05). The antitumor rate in Group C was significantly higher than Group B(P < 0.05), but the tumor VEGF score, MVD and plasma VEGF level in Group C were significantly lower than Groups A and B(P < 0.05). In Group B, the tumor VEGF score, MVD and plasma VEGF level were significantly lower than Group A(P < 0.05). The microscopic image of Group C showed that its number of active tumor cells and the blood capillary around tumor was significantly smaller

Experimental resultsindicated that the heteropolyanions underwent two-step , two-electron tungsten re-duction processes, and each reduction process was accompanied by *** complexes of Cu and Mn exhibit voltammetric redox features corresponding toreduction of Cu￣Ⅰ to Cu￣Ⅰ and oxidation of Mn￣Ⅱ to Mn￣Ⅲ and Mn￣Ⅳ. Chemically modified superatoms have emerged as promising candidates in the new periodic table, in which Au13and its doped M_nAu13-nhave been widely studied. However, their important counterpart, Ag13artificial element, has not yet been synthesized. In this work, we report the synthesis of Ag13nanoclusters using strong chelating ability and rigid ligands, that fills the gaps in the icosahedral superatomic metal clusters. After further doping Ag13template with different degrees of Au atoms, we gained insight into the evolution of their optical properties. Theoretical calculations show that the kernel metal doping can modulate the transition of the excited-state electronic structure, and the electron transfer process changes from local excitation（LE） to charge transfer（CT） to LE. This study not only enriches the families of artificial superatoms, but also contributes to the understanding of the electronic states of superatomic clusters.
